Love / What do Asian boys think about Polish girls? :) (and vice versa) [150]

in recent years lots of white males have been marrying Asian and other non western women. The reason? Men don't trust the constantly whining western women who act 'privileged'.

No , the reasons are very different , I guess their chances to have SPWF are null . The vast majority of those white guys who get married to Asian women are middle aged, divorced bums who had no other options . This is a very common picture in Sweden where you can see them in such a company after visiting Thailand they return with new child who turns to be a new wife , haha. They ussually get married to 20-30 years younger women so I call them simply pedophilies .

Language / Difference between wise and intelligent in Polish [30]

intelligence = genetic endowment (whether realized in an educational setting or not)

In Polish I am sure in English too intelligence could be inherited through genes or acqured through knowledge and experience . You can broaden your intelligence through learning even if you were not endowed with a high level of it by your genes. This means that traning and stimulating of your brain cells through learning may influence your intelligence .

If it was only inherited we would still be stuck in caves .

Language / Difference between wise and intelligent in Polish [30]

This word has just one translation –“ Intelligence” derives from Latin –“ intelligentia “.

But there are at least 6 meanings in Polish .
1 It is the ability of comprehension , related words in English - sharpness, smartness, brightness.
2 Sensory Intelligence - the ability to perceiving, analysing and optimal (or near-optimal) adaptation to the changing environment.
3 Intelligence-the name of a layer of a social class , in Poland formed from 2. half of the 19TH century
4 Intelligence-type of a specific mental ability

types of intelligence : cognitive ,verbal, emotional, social, creative

5 artificial intelligence
6 IQ

Language / Difference between wise and intelligent in Polish [30]

different kinds of intelligences

You confuse the simple translation of this word with its definition. But these are two different things. As in many languages there are a lot of definitions of that word. But definition of the word as you know it is not the same as its translation. There is not so much of a problem with only translation, because most of the known words in English were already translated into Polish. So your conception of inability to find a specific word in another language is false.

In any language you may find cognate words .That’s why, if you check any dictionary you always find for one sought word few words given as a translation , but that doesn`t mean that there is no proper word for exact meaning . If you are bilingual you will always know the slight difference between those cognate words. English teachers in Poland are misled by the lack of verbal variety in student`s vocabulary so they are mistakenly mislead that in Polish there are no exact and specific words for its English equivalents. But this is just a common misconception due to laziness of students or teachers who rely on someone’s translation instead of searching a dictionary. As an example of that laziness I can give an example of some English teacher who translated for students in a classroom a name of sequoia as "czerwone drzewo”, yes really.

While this name has just one meaning in Polish which is “sekwoja” , but in English one translation comes from Latin, but there is another common name “ a redwood “. In Polish it has only one name derived from Latin. When this teacher found in an English text a name “ a redwood” she translated as it sounded “ czerwone drzewo “ , not even thinking that there is no such name of a tree in Polish language as “czerwone drzewo “ . But what the heck, who cares , that she was talking nonsense . The school headmaster had no idea about her incompetence. She was Polish, but not educated in a public university but some private school ( everybody knows the level of private educational institutions ) and presented some papers from Canada . So for that headmaster such Canadian papers were the best pass for such post ( private primary school English teacher). This is just an example of origins of some misconceptions about these two languages. I am not saying that all Polish or English teachers are lazy and don`t look into dictionaries .

But please don`t sell here some theory of inability of translation from Polish into English in a very precise way .

Language / Difference between wise and intelligent in Polish [30]

"Mądry" for me refers to me to education.

Not exactly .
Wisdom in the narrowest sense is the ability to make decisions, which in the long term yield positive results. In another words we can say that wisdom is the ability to use knowledge and experience.

This means that some people who are above average intelligent not always possess the ability to make dicisions that yeld in positive results.

Language / Difference between wise and intelligent in Polish [30]

In Polish language the concept of intelligence generally means a set of mental abilities which allows to use resources of your knowledge - resulting from the knowledge learned,

theory and experience - in solving problems.

If it comes to wisdom maybe it would be the best to say that it is a congenital or acquired ability, which allows people to manage their lives well and helps them to secure prosperity, success and even happiness.

Love / Polish men calling polish girl for dating englishman [80]

She's just a typical Polish female and rating men the way she does comes naturally to her, that's all.

What do you know about me , nothing .

Why do some of you bring personal stuff ? I don`t do that only if I am provoked .

What I wrote earlier is not my personal point of view .

I was referring to some female or male behaviour which is demonstrated abroad . Both very bad .

I am not approving any of such conducts.

But you don`t see anything wrong about men bullying a woman dating a foreigner .

I see it as just a typical behaviour of some very unconfident men . I am talking about the thread`s topic here , not you .

Life / You are Polish if... [433]

-You will never admit you're wrong
-You will ...

It is all but a view of one frustrated Jew . Poland is a country constantly invaded by others because of our rich land which everyone envied. But we have never lost any war fighting one on one. Others had to connect to beat us, usually three countries had to combine their forces to defeat us. First, the knights and later the military were elites in Poland, which no other could be equal to our .

We praise our country because we have a reason, so don`t waste your time and effort to complain. Go to the Jewish forum and there praise your countrymen`s achievements.

I hope you're not thinking of someone who posts here :D

No , nobody specific in my mind , just a name you call such men if only such name exists . But maybe all derogatory names of females have no equivalent in male gender .

Love / Polish men calling polish girl for dating englishman [80]

I don't think you quite understood the message I was trying to convey.

You understood me perfectly and I did understand you also.

I was referring to typical male approach you present that you focused on female deplorable behavior instead of criticizing both sexes’ behaviors.

Polish (and other Eastern European) women very often offer little to no support to their men during emigration.

You generalize so much. Some are like that, but predominant majority acts like most reasonable people would do. You described a characteristic of certain women who make up 5 % of Polish female population. I guess that other nationalities you mentioned act like that within given numbers.

With few exceptions women are still not considered family providers, because of salary differences, which still exist in favor of men. That`s why, women still , instead of making money, tend to take care of children, house etc. rather than men. What I stated earlier is true and reflects the reality.

Yes, southern if a man emigrates to another country with the intention of permanent residence he becomes an immigrant and the status of immigrant is well known to everybody

Little wonder then that Eastern European women in many countries are often seen as materialistic slags who will **** at the drop of a hat once they see the money

Now ,to maintain parity , can you please name " an old or middle aged Western European man" who leaves his wife and children once he sees long legged beauty willing to become his sex or lifetime partner ? A p**ck or is there a specific name in English language ? Will you start complaining about something else than Eastern European females?

Love / Polish men calling polish girl for dating englishman [80]

It is all very simple and doesn`t require much effort to find the answer to the agonizing problem the OP has been confronted with.

It all comes down to the problem of being an immigrant. Women generally are in a better position, because this is not their responsibility to become a family provider, so immigrant woman can be as good as the local woman because the emphasis is put on her look rather than the money. Men tend to choose women, who are beautiful rather than rich which is quite opposite to women who rather tend to search for a family provider. So , the problem of immigrant men vs. local men comes from few factors that they usually hold worse jobs, earn less money and in prevail cases are not wealthy.

So it is rare that a woman chooses for her husband or partner an immigrant, especially from a poorer country which is a case of Poland vs. Great Britain.

Work / Poland salary and compensation package - What is included? [28]

it pains me like hell to say it, but she's right for once.

Why is it so painful ? You know by reading my posts that most of the time I am right . It is just funny that some of you can`t accept this fact that a person like me of Polish descent and living in Poland is more acquainted with anything that pertains Poland .

Work / Poland salary and compensation package - What is included? [28]

And an estate that belongs to a spoldzenie is social housing.

You are totally wrong !

Spółdzielnia mieszkaniowa - so called "co- op" housing is not a part of social housing in Poland . The price for a flat sold by this type of developement is a market value price .The difference is that a builder / investor builds it without making any profit . This type of housing project was popular during PRL times . These days co- ops are not established any more . But still they exist just to maintain the flats resources of existing dwellers .

To me social housings mean buildings projects for poorer people who can`t afford to buy a dwellings for market value prices .

what does it mean in English ? -" A council estates/housing project " .

What I presume is that a council / social housing is a type of project called in Polish - mieszkania komunalne , what exactly was said in my previous post nb 22 . So municipal or state owned housing projects comprise of 5 % of total housing market what is really unmeaningful fraction . What I said earlier is very much valid .

Work / Poland salary and compensation package - What is included? [28]

The percentage of people in Poland living on council estates/housing projects is huge.

No , it is not !

According to data issued by GUS ( Polish Statistical Office )

usable floor space of
dwellings in square meters

total space 938 475 000 m²

ownership of

47 973 000 Gminas (municipal)
2 788 000 State Treasury

Which means a ratio of 20 m² to 1 m ² , so it means that only a small fraction of space is owned by municipal or state bodies.

Love / Amount of money for gift (I have a girlfriend in Poland) [56]

That's about $20 here, which is barely enough to buy a couple of pizzas.

No wonder so many people hate Poles.

Are all Polaks as greedy and rude as these people?

Why are you hiding yourself behind different names . The way you are so prejudiced about Poles so obvious that no comment should be placed in this thread , which I view, was opened only to say slurs about Polish people .

BTW if someone wants to give a small gift for Christmas it doesn`t have to be expensive, but sending 20 $ is just a lack of good manners and taste . If you can`t be more creative just send her a box of best chocolates you can get in your city .

And isn't "Polak" the proper Polish word for "Pole"

No , when you use it inan English sentence , you should have known that , otherwise you are going fool .

So you don't regard CPD as a private matter, polmed? You are happy to discuss such issues as they pertain to you?

Not issues, but one issue - this thread`s subject and I explained why . Where am I discussing my CPD "whatever" here ? By posting about career woman does it reveal something personal about my professional life ? I don`t think so .

Do you have any idea of what you are chattering about or your mind is so preocupied with unproductive thinking that you can`t comprehend . Who told you that I am looking for a boyfriend , are you listening to that Harry , who can`t himself make a decision about his gender identity ?

Your distorted views about Polish male/female relationships maybe come from your personal experiences . I have never experienced any problems in that matter . I have a happy personal life that I wish every PF member to experience such .

Your guessing about being half positive reflects your poor way of comprehension because this sentence means nothing logical .

I don't believe that dresiarstwo or wiocha are interested in smart women; they probably can't even spell "wykształcona" :p

True that "dresiarstwo" can only dream, but it doesn`t mean that they may not have their dreams too.

Polish men like submissive women.

Hahaha, everything you have just written is nothing but a crap.

Poland is not an island with its isolated lifestyle from the rest of Europe . Polish people can match with themselves depending on their own values , upbringing , education and other very personal preferences . Some men would go for a simple woman, some prefer more sophisticated . There are no guidelines for Polish men , beleve me . But generally the more beautiful and educated the woman is the more chances she has got to find the right men . But it is everywhere like that .

I must say that polish men love smart women .

News / Polish Independence Day-Beware? [59]

This today`s riot is something rare , so the Americans probably have informers among some leftists groups , because they predicted what was unpredictable and I would never suspect something like that might happen . There were marches in previous years but quiet . I don`t remember violence . But there were riots in England , Greece , Italy etc , so some leftists neo nazi groups decided that they can have a good climate for their actions . There were monor injuries though on both sides .

News / Polish Independence Day-Beware? [59]

I received a warning from the American embassy in Warsaw that I need to avoid tomorrow's demonstrations since the groups involved are violent.

You are lying !!!!!

American streets are more violent on everyday basis than possible riots in Poland .
