Genealogy / 307 , 315 , 605 squadrons photos needed [6]

307 squadron --

307 Squadron was the only of the Lincolnshire-associated Polish sqns which did not fly Spitfire. One of its original Defiant, N1671, is now on display at the RAF Museum Hendon.

raf-lincolnshire.info/307sqn/307sqn.htm (also other squadrons listed)

also try this lists many squadrons

On June 8, 1946, the Allies celebrated their World War II success with the London Victory Parade without Polish colors flying and without Polish soldiers present. Among those attending was Abyssinia, Brazil, Persia, Mexico, Nepal and... Luxembourg (?) After having rendered the Allies momentous service, Poles were excluded from this celebration - and in a deceitful way. ( Read more). Although they had fought on the right side, they had lost. A few weeks after the Parade, painted "Poles go home" signs appeared on walls in England. In addition, the British press took an anti-Polish tone.

Law / Can I come to Poland with my girlfriend on the student visa as a dependent? [40]

Out of interest I assume all you self appointed immigration

no we were trying to make the OP see sense something which he doesnt seem to get regarding his reasoning for going to Poland ....

He wanted to go into Poland to study on a STUDENT VISA without FUNDING and expected with very little English and NO KNOWLEDGE of the POLISH language to be able to FUNCTION SURVIVE and GAIN A VISA to study and in effect LIVE there

i'm sorry but did i miss something ...... !!!

It's clear the OP doesnt have the sufficent funding in place to SUPPORT HIMSELF nor HIS GIRLFRIEND he now intends to take to Poland with him

so before you critise maybe you should come off your high horse and see that we are offering advice and telling the OP

HOW IT ACTUALLY IS!!!!!

No it is not easy to live and survive in Poland NON EU or EU citizen for that matter .....

when in fact the only advantages you have are that you by chance were born in the UK doesn't reflect well.

Has nothing to do with that and further more Następnym razem, kiedy chcesz uzyskać mądry, nie próbuj mówić informację, że nie jest mądry

Law / Can I come to Poland with my girlfriend on the student visa as a dependent? [40]

djaramax

Grow up ... you have been told by many people in all threads but you still seem to have this disillusioned ideal that life in Poland is easy and that it is easy to penetrate to get easy ACCESS to the EU ... well news flash sunshine it isnt ... you need to do your homework more

1. IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH
2. if planning to live anywhere ABROAD -- get a JOB in your OWN country first and SAVE up money to SURVIVE on
3. LEARN THE LANGUAGE OF THE COUNTRY YOU WISH TO GO TO

and finally

stop being an ARSEHOLE!

many people are telling YOU THE FACTS AND THE TRUTH and you seemingly cant HANDLE BEING TOLD THIS!

I DO NOT FOR YOUR PERMISION...

no you will need POLAND's permission and you aint going to gain it that easily!

End of!!

Law / Can I come to Poland with my girlfriend on the student visa as a dependent? [40]

My aunty is live in poland.

If that was the case why the FUK have you asked on here when you could have got the information from you aunt?????

Sorry but i think you have been told by those that are in the know on all the threads you've posted on ... that Poland is NOT the bed of roses you seem to think it is or believe it is ... i'm not having a pop but you are very disillusioned in what you hope to get in Poland.

i think its not make a differ to me.

It will indeed make a difference one you are not your Aunt you are you and what applies for one doesnt necessarily apply to someone else!

You really need to understand this before you even want to make a life in Poland and bring a GF with you .... as pointed out you WILL NEED to be able to finance yourself in Poland and clearly you DO NOT have the means to do this with being a STUDENT and unless you have a VERY good command of the Polish language which is clear you dont you will not get far with any PART TIME work

......!

i mean that part time jobs , for students ???

you wont find part time work any other than Mcdonalds perhaps and these jobs will have been taken by Polish people at University in Poland. Seriously you really need to do your research more as it is not that simple to just go and make a life in Poland.

and as i stated in my previous posting LANGUAGE LANGUAGE LANGUAGE as previously indicated by fellow poster in the link i provided Lukasz otherwise you dont stand a chance anywhere in Poland.

Travel / A beach in Krakow [7]

This popped up on my book of face news feed just wondering what people's thought about it are -- a beach in Krakow, i suppose those that sleep on the benches in the Planty will have somewhere softer to lay down o_0

and does Krakow really need to generate more tourists to the area by doing this?

Work / How is the Warsaw job opportunities for international students? [43]

Unless you have been employed by a company prior to going to Poland then Job Opportunities for non-native speakers of Polish will be somewhat difficult as with non-native English speaker jobs ... as normally you would find it easier if transferring from that job to Poland.

Not trying to dis-sway you from Poland but unless you have a conversational command of Polish you'll not gain a job. International companies are far and few between unless you have fluent command of the English language and a 2nd language like Dutch or German.

see this thread and look at the links provided then you will know: polishforums.com/work-study-43/to-look-job-poland-21030/

a big hint is listed by Lukasz called LANGUAGE LANGUAGE LANGUAGE

Study / Any one know about WARSAW INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE & Is it good one ? [13]

After my higher studies can i apply for poland PR (Permanannt recidency) ?

in short No!

If not a EU EEC citizen then you will need a visa (and as you will have finished studying you will need a different visa to a student one) .. you will need to provide proof that you can sustain yourself financially in Poland (so you will need to show your bank statements stating you have xx amount of savings that you can live off so not claiming benefits) and if you haven't you need to be in employment in Poland preferably before a visa will even be contemplated to be issued.

A Residence Permit will only be given after 5 years of living in Poland as as visa's arent issued for that long for what i am lead to believe ... it isnt as simple as you seem to think!

And how long it will take ?

How long is a piece of string?

UK, Ireland / Fish and chips - do Polish people in the UK like this? [108]

Maybe i just haven't had a good fish & chips yet

Try from the Coast best fish and chips you'll ever have ;)

I personally cant stomach salt and vinegar so i cant have that on mine .. but i am partial to a nice cod and mushy peas (i don't ask for chips as i don't eat them)

big jars of pickled cucumbers

i always thought they were called Gerkins ;)
