History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

Are these two statements not contradictory?
First you say the Monarch transformed then you go on to say that it was a monarch/nationalism system.

No, not contradictory. Transformation from monarchy to socialism happened directly, without elections like it happens in republic systems. Then, altough its name was socialist soviets, center of system was still monarchic/nationalist. Libya's country name too is socialist, but, it is very close to monarchy system, just unofficial/undeclared monarchy.

Name a system, that has existed ever, which this has not happened in?

dictation-from-top usually happens in monarchies. Laws are accordingly. When ordinary people in a monarchy don't like a law, they have nothing to do, other than revolting by blood. In Republic system, a law is made by elected representatives and if it is not liked by ordinary people, elected representatives lose their seats which is not a case in a monarchy as monarchy elites always think they think better than ordinary people. Republic system is a search toward better by softer actions and involvements of ordinary people in decision makings are forced slowly and gradually. My guess, ordinary people will reach a kind of socialism at the end. For example, private possessions of resources (lands etc) will not be liked by any ordinary person at the end as it will always cause troubles. State too won't own resources, but, can be organizators about adjustments of use of resources by elected experts by ordinary people.

Democracy is a transition period toward understanding experts in every fields better and better. For example, today, people search better medicine doctors and chose accordingly. If anything results good or bad, it is in patient's responsibility too. However, to minimize mistakes, to make better decisions on who is better expert or not, there will probably be a period of learning/understanding which may occur in a socialist system once resource privateships end. Anyway, it is a further stage that probably next generations will think about. Today, we still have monarchy systems in which people still try to keep their seats.

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

Russia was a monarchy before 1917. With sudden transition from monarchy to socialism, socialism wasn't understood well enough. There is a Re-public-ing system first in which there is a democracy which is a path toward taking individual responsibilities too. In Soviets, centre power was a monarch/nationalists who didn't know such things like individualism and democracy yet and socialism was seen by people as dictation-from-top like it happens in monarchies. Poland under such a monarchist center of Soviets was more ready for socialism actually. If socialism started in Poland, it could be more successful than Russia socialism. Anyway, socialism, like any other system, has to be chosen by ordinary people and this process stage can happen in Republic system better.

Law / Kaczyński doubts the Euro currency will survive [49]

Incidentally, have Albright and Soros attempted to cripple Bosnia and Montenegro?

What? You mean it was Soros and his army who killed 200-250,000 people there?

Love / How do Polish guys feel about having an older girlfriend/wife? [30]

I didn't do any judgement. Asked just a question.

You said "we've fallen in love."
Ok, then, why are you here to ask other people?
If you said "i've fallen in love", i could say somethings.
When you say "we've fallen in love", then, there is nothing to say.

Law / Kaczyński doubts the Euro currency will survive [49]

President Kaczyński has recently cast doubt on whether the euro would survive in the long run.

Such doubts have been voiced by many. It doesn't show anything, whether a person saying positive or negative about Euro can be supporter of Euro or not. His words maybe were just a response, a message to someones at top levels in EU rather than the public.

Euro's main problem is it is money of a union, but, not everybody joined it. UK, Poland, etc etc. Especially, UK is important there cause you're an important member, but, you aren't joining Euro. So, if Euro resists, Sterling goes away or UK exists EU. Otherwise, Euro collapse and Europe return to old days.

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

The civil unrest in the middle east is now a bench mark for a discussion on the generic failure of totalitariansim

it goes nowhere.. civil unrests aren't happening in real totalitarian regimes there.. by squeezing syria, where will you reach? nowhere.. if they are forced furher, their regime will change toward a regime like saudi arabia.. i guess this will be liked only by united kingdom.. or, it will be toward like iran if russia-china-iran collobration with syria becomes successful.. two-totalitarians are at field, uk-saudi-etc vs russia-iran-syria-etc.. whoever wins this battle loses somethings.

Makes sense what the Jew is saying.I would only add that there was no reason for brutality while creating kibbutzes because I don't think the kibbutz members owned any land before creation of kibbutz.Someone correct me if I am wrong here.In Poland's case in order to create a PGR they had to first take the land away from farmers.

But, he is a right wing Jew. There is a boil in Israel now who are boycotting somethings related to economy, their social economy, etc.

About farm. In private farm lands here and anywhere, productivity is always lower than state controlled farm lands with experts like agricultural engineers, etc.. If you give a farm land to a villager, you can make him happy at the beginning for a while, but, his limited knowledge about agricultural, biology, etc will make him obtain low production and in time, will make him poor. and he'll be searching to be a worker to be able to feed himself and his family after a while.

Problem in Soviets wasn't socialism, it was that the state was not well organized, knowledgable people, experts were not put at duties. Nationalist, etc ideologics were at top and criterias for admin seats were such things, hence, failed, also by outside effects.

‘The most beautiful coin in the world”

This one?

If it were called "the most handsome coin in the world", it could be meaningful.
(however, it is clear why it was chosen, a romantic musician portrait is depicted and it is a new fresh breath after all political, religious and army portraits on the coins.)

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

Another good question for you... if the Russians were nationalistic (as you claimed) then why did they eliminated their intellectual elites in millions during the Soviet era and by means of that made the Polish word "bydlo" so applicable to the nowadays Russian society?

Is this a good question? Simple answer it has. First, Russia was a tsar-dom, i.e. a kingdom. Riches were those generated by tsardom, were people who were close to tsar, were royal families, as it always happen in monarchies, still so if you look at the House of Lords, 800 lords in today United Kingdom. You see them elites today? I don't. Maybe, they were useful in the past, centuries ago, but, not anymore. So, they are not elites. In 1917 revolution, these riches/lords of tsardom monarchy were arrested, killed, eliminated, etc. They too were Russians and they were nationalists who were also collobrating with the religious institutions, churchs. Design of revolution might be done by someones else, to win against the tsardom, but, appliers were poor workers anyway who were mostly Russians of whom there were many nationalists who were seeing Tsar and his lords were not enough nationalists.. So, those more radical nationalists killed those tsars, lords, etc who were seen as less nationalists.. Later, millions killed during Soviets, happened especially starting with Stalin, were mostly folks from other nations such as Turkics, etc as Soviets were forcing their locations to cut their connections. This was acceptable by Soviet Russian nationalist center to eliminate the threats against Russian nationalist center. Since they were Muslims mostly, it was acceptable by the church in Russia which had started to collobrate with Russian nationalist center of Soviets and by Europe churches as well.

Anyway, Soviets were not socialists really, it became visible especially starting with early 1930s. However, as mentioned above, one important thing entered the human life, historical existing socialism in their lifes of ordinary people became official name, became a governing system first time in the human history and some applications such as free education and free health care were enjoyed by ordinary people. These were being given free in religious government systems too, but, they were not systemized, they were like donations which caused discrimination, abusements, exploits.

Russian center of Soviets who were nationalists collobrating with churches inside Russia underground and churches of Europe returned to old monarchy system with nationalism and religious characters starting late 1920s and early 1930s. Also, while monarchy Europe, todays Western Europe who were collobrating with Soviet Russia nationalists for their movements about other folks' movements (Turkics, etc) who were mostly muslims, the same monarchies kept their rope of Russians by their other hands and pulled down slowly, till 1980s. Russians fell in the same old trap of monarchies who have been using nationalism and religiousism efficiently. Maybe, these characters of monarchies aren't seen so visibly in Western Europe monarchies. Just look at Saudi Kingdom. Their core is a monarchy with feudal system. They play Arab nationalism card in their ordinary folks and relgiousism card to other folks. Their lifestyle inside the palace is like socialism, communism, free-living if you define socialism/capitalism as free-living which is not understood by a person, who is called capitalist, who works hard to make money to live..

Read Wroclaw boy's post in that who says there are luxury cars of bosses and there are many poor cars belonging employee. It is true, but, at least, those bosses are either among ordinary folks or they worked hard before. Before them, there are monarchy royals, lords, etc who live luxury life from beginning to end. And, those monarchy lords have weapon powers, gun powers, laws on their sides as army guys, politicans, religious institutions, etc do not like those riches of whom at least some of them worked hard to make their money. Since ordinary people face these company owners more in their daily lifes, they become allergic to these company bosses while they don't see the big monster, monarchies and their lords. Sure, many of company bosses too are on their sides of monarchies, but, there are some who are challenging against them. To see these, look at Israel and Saudi Kingdom. One of them working hard, made money and bought the land and keep working. The other is lazily sitting, playing mind games and collobrating with monarchies of other parts of the world. And, the result is; big majority of world ordinary people are anti-israil. I am not Israel lover either, but, the main problem isn't them, it is Saudi Kingdom, Britain Kingdom, etc etc with monarchy systems who see all others below them, who don't like anyone else other than themselves. When monarchy system in the world is abolished, progression toward socialist system will be much easier. When you do a difficult work, if your leg is pulled back by someone, it is not easy to do any work. Monarchy system is doing that. For what? For nothing else than to save their positions, wealth and easy life and it is hard for them to accept ordinary common people who they have seen low people for centuries..

Love / Polish women USED TO BE much more attractive: [162]

100-200+ years ago, average weight of men were about 120 kg (250 pounds.) But, they were not fat. I guess, women even today would find them more attractive. (we are critisizing women here - but, we men are in worse shapes.)

Calling someone fat is also a matter of taste-some ppl will call girl that weights 55 kg fat and some a girl that weights 77.

I said it above, I didn't mean weight by fat. Fat, not meat, not muscle.. Fat = grease, oil (i don't know another word to express the fat.)

55 kg and 77 kg, both can be healthy, hence beautiful if their fat percentage is not above the limit. Not only women, but also, many men today are fats whether they are less or more weights.. And, one of main reasons for that, as I said above, is desk-work jobs which are paid more salary. If desk work jobs are paid less than field work jobs, people will prefer to do more field works, therefore, they will have less fat.

"to cos", something special, can change from person to person, somethings like matter of taste.. but, i don't think fat (not saying weight) is found beautiful by big majority of men, maybe, by few fat fetish ones. Unhealthy woman isn't beautiful and the more fatty the less healthy.

Love / Polish women USED TO BE much more attractive: [162]

When McDonalds first arrived in Poland 99% of females looked amazing and slim.

Were there McDonalds 100somethings years ago?

100+ years ago, women with more weight were seen beautiful while slim women were not. and, those days, women were trying to gain weight.
I remember two decades ago, slim skinny women were popular.
Rather than weight, I view fat percentage in the body is more important.
As f-stop said, lazyness/deskworks/etc are making people with more fat. but, salaries of deskwork jobs are much more than field work jobs and deskworks are easier. but, it causes such problems like health, shape, etc.

Life / Racism and for what? (story of Egyptian guy's living in Poland) [149]

All ethnicities have their own specific odour and to some people it stinks. Perhaps it's dependent on diet and perhaps it's genetic but the phenomenon does exist.

My guess is diet.. I've lived in different places with different kinds of cousines which at the beginning I had difficulty in getting used to. After a while, I smelled differently. However, you may say travelling folks or same community immigrants smell same. But, it is due to they aren't changing their meals. Meal/food habit is one of most addicted habits. Sudanese, for ex, will eat their halva (a sweet something like turkish delight cooked with butter) wherever they go.

Their such words of Poles are similar to that kid, in my story above, who was forced to silence, who was forced to use his right hand for the knife and left hand for the spoon although he was a left handed one.. (now, Poles live in capitalist west.)

Poles didn't have a word power in Soviet administration which was, as I said before, Russian nationalist/righties were power in socialist Soviet. If you look at the name of Libya, it too has socialism in its name, Libya Socialist Republic.. (Kingdoms, including Arap Kingdoms too, have an allergy against these names or what.)

True, and it has turned out badly enough already..

lets not forget, big majority of people are right hand people and their rules of right hands have been dominating everywhere. one simple clear example can be seen in that rule of royal palace about right hand for the knife..

so, social engineering has been made by rightist people mostly.. but, they blame leftists as if leftists have been doing social engineering.

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

It is the story of elites..

(of course, my imaginary story too above was given in elite, royal story - but, the reality was anonymous actually. my story. not copied & paste anywhere.. i did mean there that "left"ism is about enlightment, not superior, but, awareness, mind clarification - learning their existence of left hand people too., and this knowledge makes people social.. So, royal palaces with strict rules are actually asocial places.)

So, leftism isn't utopia thing.

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

Today's communism is the PC dictatorship. Like all leftist utopias it too will collapse.

You know where the term lefty arised first? Some say, before French revolution, some important people of the council/parliament sit on the left side as they opposed laws there.. Some say some other things..

Now, I am revealing the old real truth about where the term "lefty" came from.

In royal palaces, you know the rule: right hand for the knife or fork and left hand for the spoon. One day, a prince kid in a monarchy country was against this rule. Old aged royal lords, king, queen, etc had a serious meeting about this. They were seeing that prince kid like ordinary rubbish people outside who were always a potential rebels.. This royal prince kid too was being against a simple rule. So, they decided to make him obey the rule: right hand for knife!.. Kid was scared and used the right hand for the knife.. but, he never forgot it.. When he grew up, when he became teen, when he get stronger, he used his left hand again for the knife.. This time, royals responded by more physical force, and beated him.. He got silent again and kept using right hand for knife for a year or two more.. When he got stronger, he used left hand for the knife... this time, no other royals were able to do anything to him as he was grown, stronger.. he got power and moved to another country, a colony of kingdom, made it independent of kingdom and started a spoon-knife revolution there.. new rule was, from then on, everybody would be using left hand for the knife instead of right hand.. .. His name? Unknown. But, his nick given to him by people in his home kingdom was "lefty"...

..

.

.

.

(truth is he was a left-hand one - he was having trouble in using his right hand.. but, this started an enlightment, scientific developments etc too in his new country while his home monarchy country stayed unenlightened, they kept the rule of using always right hand for the knife.)

Genealogy / Polish genome - are you familiar with it [58]

But, from here at a distant, I don't see difference between Poles of north and south either. It is like we see all black Africans same, but, they probably see some skin color differences in themselves too. In Turkey, this difference can be seen even from distance. A person from southeastern of Turkey is as dark as syrians while one from north eastern turkey is as light as russians, one from western region is as olive skin as a greek, due to much climate changes here. So, what skin color difference you see in two Poles, one from north and one from south there may not be seen by me.

Genealogy / Polish genome - are you familiar with it [58]

(I am not knowledgable about all these DNA things, their details.. but, I have a theory about this visual appearences.)

Hair and skin colors may change by climate too. Take a Pole to hot Mediterranean seaside here for, say, 20 years, his skin color will definitely darker than even that of people who are in the north of Turkey. Hair colors too will change, will be darker. We here in Turkey see such differences between people of different climate regions in Turkey. Their hair, skin colors change a lot. Skin and hair color changes between north and south of Poland can be due to something like that, climate effect.

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

You still insist on names.. Isn't it enough to see the only power emerged from Soviets is Russia? How did they become a superpower? Russia was a monarchy which was about to collapse prior to revolution there. After revolution, after a decade or two, when socialism became productive, Russians started to take control of Soviets and they destroyed internationalism/multiculturalism that is one of first important criterie in international socialism which was the base of Soviets. After 1930s, with increasing Russian nationalism and racism over other folks in Soviets which showed itself more by force and blood invasions too, Soviets were no more socialists.. True, there were ploys and bloody attacks from out of Soviets to Soviets. If Soviets pressed on nuke buttons then, it could be much better than bloody actions and forces to the folks inside Soviets. Anyway, as I said, Russians were not cooked enough well to form and keep socialism. They didn't understand it well. Maybe, theory makers like Marx etc should have been on top of administrations. If you give the administrations to the workers who aren't isolated themselves against nationalist etc feelings and who aren't knowledgable enough about global issues, sooner or later, it returns to nationalist administrations and what happened in Soviets was that. Since Russians were at center of administrations, it is normal to see Russia as emerged country. From one empire, Soviets, a new empire, Russia emerged. Socialism should be established by its theory founders, scientists, scholars themselves. Or, people who are not knowledgable enough will make themselves kings, queens, etc when they take a little power. Perhaps, scientists/scholars not knowing what to do are just staying away from applications of their theories as they prefer not to take any risk. It is like engineering academican professor who is doing lab work as maximum field work while leaving risky application to engineers in the real field. Socialism was somethings like that. It was in their hands of people who were not knowledgable about economy, its social issues, etc etc and it was not enough open society.. maybe, its timing wasn't good enough as we are talking about almost a century ago.. This Europe today who claim they know better will maybe have to do a better socialism. Search for this will have to happen as Europe get poorer and poorer. But, I see resistive forces alread started to act, toward escaping to fundamentalism, racism, nationalism, christianism etc..

Any names of Russian nationalists?

Oftentimes not in Russia's favour.

See what you said... Soviets have has the religious institutions for centruies. What the hell is that?
Again "racist"... who was racist towards whom?

No need to give any names.

Looking at their behaviour collections of Soviets after 1930s, I see nationalism in Soviets. Their system in Soviets is not an international system actually, but, a nationalist system that was in control of Russians in Moscow mainly. I mentioned big inequalities between different folks of Soviets. But, when you say oftentimes not in favor, nothing to say more. I don't even need to prove this big inequalities between nations in Soviets, it has become clear after Soviet system was gone. Among all Soviet nations, only Russians arised as power, the rest were weak. But, it is normal, it was socialism "inter-national" which is a term not much different than "united nations". When there are nations in a concept, even if it is united nations or international, it hides nationalism even if indirectly.

True, religious institutions in Soviets too were alive, were underground and they were collobrating with other religious institutions in the world. Soviets should not have put them underground, they should have left them free, but, without any financial, any money support directly or by indirectly by folks.. When religion institutions are left without money, they lose their all powers except voluntary services.

Again racist.. Racism against folks inside Soviet domain. Why do you think ordinary folks of former Soviet countries don't like Russians? Cause they lived Russian racism in their daily lifes.

Anyway. While I am critisizing Soviets so much, I can't say they were worse than feudal world which is still a big monster power..

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

However, if you look at communism from another angle, like communial life,,

there are more than 200 countries in the world today.. Each of them is having a communial life.. So, there are 200 communist countries in the world today. So, how communism failed?

Common understanding of these concepts are like that:

Country with administrations by laws is a communism. (in this sense, even Sharia is a communist system.)

Country with administrations by money is not communism.

(wondering who are communists and who aren't now,;)
