News / Die Welt-Poland and Germany are the economic driving force of Europe [239]

Babinich U.S. preform the same stress test and they choose to keep it a secret

You may not believe the numbers but the results were no secret:

In the US, one organization performed stress tests. Forty-seven banks failed, requiring seventy-five billions dollars of capital to reflate the system.

Not to mention that the EU banking system is three and a half times the size of the US banking system relative to GDP. The EU banking system is that much more levered to GDP than US banks.

Twenty-six organizations performed EU stress tests. Ninety-two percent of the banks passed, one Greek bank failed requiring three billion Euros of additional capital.

Maybe YOU remember the defense deals struck with Germany by the Greek government (submarines) to gain entry to the EU.

First & last: The Greek government, as a sovereign, is responsible for hiding their liabilities.

If GS was involved in financial deals in Greece, which I don't doubt, who took the other side of the trade?

Clinton sighing , Larry Summers and Rubin by supporting , McCain and Graham by writing the bill and bringing it to vote deregulating banking, that allowed speculation and derivative trade as bets around the world exploded, the rest is history as Goldman such and jp Morgan sold securities around the world. it was the biggest theft from tax payers around the world.

If you believe that the US started all of this and that's a big if, does one really have to be remained that there are two sides to a trade?

Western Europe's medical care systems, employment philosophy & EU membership slight of hand is the cause for your woes.

we tend not to let poor people die as a matter of policy

Unless you have statistics to prove the US "lets people die" then all your statement does is play fast and loose with reality.

Or is it maybe a big combination of many factors,one of them being the sub prime debacle that rippled out from the US?

It's not my fault. I hear that all the time...

I can still visit my Doctor on the day I first feel ill and not have to worry about whether that means I or my family eats more than beans and bread for the next few months.

Interesting... Every time you feel ill right? At no cost right?

Tell me why Cameron is looking for NHS to openly compete with private health care companies?

Tell me why the EU is burdened with debt with some looking to default?

A question and a hypothetical if you don't mind...

Are you saying a person paying into universal medical system has unlimited access to a provider?

~~~
So when a patient, and elderly patient, in a universal medical care system is diagnosed with cancer and needs a PET scan the European government providing such care picks up the tab?
How long does that patient have to wait for the modality?
Proud to say Ive made it 34 years without a credit card,Im by no means rolling in money but I own my home outright so although I do worry a bit about this down turn Im able to ride it out,even being out of work temporarily.
Convex's reply:
Amen to that. That kind of follows the German/Polish business mindset of careful expansion and paying your own way. The consumer mindset on the other hand....
I cannot disagree more... Credit is a powerful tool when used intelligently.
When will the madness end?
It's like the movie A Clockwork Orange. Alex, our protagonist, is altered against his will by statists 'who know better'.
BB,
When will Germany become Germany?
History / Polish flag over the Reichstag first? [399]
Not really no, they still had upwards of 2 milion reservists, thats a lot.
The Soviets were at the end of their manpower reserves.
From 1941 on through to late 44, the Soviets were conscripting down to the age of eighteen.
By late 1944 the Soviets were conscripting down to the age of seventeen.
By early 1945, due to the massive losses taken in the final battles for Germany and Berlin, the Soviets were conscripting down to the age of sixteen.
They always had the expendable numbers.
No they didn't... By the end of the war the Soviets were at the end of the line where manpower was concerned.
But in late 41 till late 42 Russians while still having more equipment are numerically inferior.
Wrong... The Soviets reached the figure of six million (at the front) as early as 1 Nov 1942.
From 1 Dec 1941 through 8 May 1945 the Comparative Strength of Combat Forces on the Eastern Front is in favor of the Soviets.
U-boats hardly contributed to war in Russia?
Here is your quote: I'm repeating myself to the point of puking on my own shoes, untill 1943 when Germany was effectively beaten at Kursk it was fighting on one front.
The fact is Germany was fighting in a number of different theaters... Period...
Your source implies that Axis forces melted by more than half a milion which is...a joke? I understand there can be a huge disparity in claims but lets not quote extremes?
Why don't you cite your sources?
Comparative Strengths of Combat Forces, Eastern Front, 1941-1945:
22 June 1941
------------
Germans: 3,050,000 (Eastern Front) 67,000 (Northern Norway) 500,000 Finns & 150,000 Rumanians.
No, the Germans were fighting in the Atlantic, North Africa, over the skies of England (the Blitz) as well as continental Europe (the beginnings of the western allied bomber campaign).
History / Polish flag over the Reichstag first? [399]
A largely ignored fact is that by the end of 1941 Russians were outnumbered
If you'll accept the month of December of 1941 as being the end of 1941 then that fact is largely ignored because it is wrong.
Comparative Strengths of Combat Forces, Eastern Front, 1941-1945:
1 Dec 1941
------------
Soviets: 4,197,000
Germans: 2,700,000 (Eastern Front) 67,000 (Northern Norway) 500,000 Finns & 140,000 Rumanians.
1.29:1 manpower advantage to the Soviets.
A polish group outside of the soviet army getting to the Reichstag first??? Hard to believe...
Instead of arguing who reached the Reichstag first I'd ask at what cost.
USA, Canada / Getting a VISA to USA by a Polish person nowadays [339]
Exactly, Poles come to America and install their own rules instead of following the rules of this country, then they wonder why Americans don't like them.
Oh yeah? I've had Polish tuck pointers and roofers do outstanding work for me.
Please don't paint with such a broad brush; there are good and bad mixed in us all.
USA, Canada / Getting a VISA to USA by a Polish person nowadays [339]
I am not saying that these immigrants shouldnt be legalized. Infact they must be... because in return of their services, they never get the proper health benefits etc as any other citizen would get.
Please define what proper health, scratch that, medical care benefits are comprised of.
And you have to accept the fact that the RCC is led by men. Leaders: secular, religious, in public service or private are fallible.
History / Why did Hitler kill so many Jews in Poland? [261]
How do you know if Hitler was practicing religion or not
Read a biography about him.
his religious view were form when he was young and he was practicing catholic then so his statement as to finishing what the church did not do as killing all Jews
Killing those that practice Judaism is not in the RCC catechism.
BB,
Any talk in Germany in following suit with Hungary, Ireland and now France in the practice of seizing pension assets?
This type of declaration does not help.
If we would had taken you over you would still be a celtic tiger!
I'd be wary if I were you.
Germany and France, the world's 4th and 5th largest economies, have the greatest exposure to Portuguese and Spanish debt.
