USA, Canada / What do the Poles hate and love about the U.S.? [170]

Yawwwn..

hey Are you able to have proper debate, i doubt it, whoever your problem is ....i don't care, whoever you are i don't care.

I care only for a quality of your arguments, and they are poor, and most of the times you make a statement - it is so because i say so - **** it i don't care what you say, give me an argument, fact, information.

You like coffee, so do I, but I'm not drugs addict, and you sometimes sound like one
hope you are not high today:)

to the point!

And yes, it is a gift to you.

well, funk you! do you want it back!

You don't like NATO .. get the hell out of NATO

fine with me! We are leaving ! **** why Poland doesn't obey me /!:D

Like the whole thing would capsize or something.

after we leave it can bust to dust for all I care.

There won't be a war with Russia.. because of NATO.

ahw argument at least, well we could cut a deal with Russia, is not like they only waiting to attack us.

USA, Canada / What do the Poles hate and love about the U.S.? [170]

Regardless of whether or not the Poles "deserve" a visa waiver when entering the states, the visa restriction on Poland is there for a reason and the Polish govt. along with many of its citizens know this reason, or reasons, all too well.

Why be so ******* enigmatic, spread it over!As I don't know the reason or reasons!

If the war in the middle east ends up protecting other countries from say a nuclear attack, would those countries then owe Poland for sending troops to Iraq/Afghanistan?

don't say, such a highly hypothetical nuclear attack from the middle east would be aimed against Israel and USA, Poland would have been a very unlikely target, anyway before Poland send troops to Iraq and Afghanistan to assist USA.

Funny thought, that by assisting USA with wars on "whatever you choose to called" Poland actually put herself in the line of fire!

Why would America then be obliged to give Poland some sort of present for joining?

Ah! I don't think so, nor for sending soldiers to fight wars nobody cares about in Poland, nor soldiers killed in action, nor for buying equipment from American corporation for over 3 billion $ Poland can ill afford!

In my opinion all above doesn't matter much as a bargain chip, all this could had been avoided as nobody forced politician's to do it.

However I cannot fail to notice that in case of visa waiver program Poland is being discriminated against, and as Poland soldiers are being slain on the foreign battlefields on USA government invitation, then I say, indeed it doesn't look good!

an abysmal military if attacked by any bordering countries? check.

you tell me who deserves a gift.

You fancy yourself that you do Poland some kind of favor?
Only bordering country which could win military with Poland is Russia and if Russia would like to launch an attack on Poland, USA reaction is yet to be seen :)

I doubt that USA would risk a war with Russia over Poland (nuclear weapon), so all this alleged favors are hypothetical one's.

Do you sill wanna gift? Yo' must be kidding

Life / Can foreigners really understand Poles? [136]

I thought I was at the elementary part of the test. Where are the hard questions? ;) ;)

All right! You asked for it!

Names and address of collaborators of the communist secret police who are holding prominent positions, now.

:p

Well, after having many discussions with Poles on this point, they feel superior to Russians, Ukrainians and basically all other Slavs. Wojna Polsko-Ruska subtlely shows that.

****!!! Are you sure you are Scottish?

Well, OK I guess you understand Poles.

Superior to whom may I ask? Without a frame of reference, it's worthless.

Ah! Right question! Can you answer that? And I'll grant you profound understanding of Poles:)

Do Poles feel superior? Please elaborate :)

USA, Canada / What do the Poles hate and love about the U.S.? [170]

Actually, I don't get this either. The Polish crying and whining about not getting the missile shield (when it wouldn't have protected Poland anyway!) was absolutely bizzare to say the least.

Internal politics, has nothing to do with missile shield, plus some media interest - average Pole don't give a s..te about it!

The Baltic states are useful strategically, as are those on the Caucas.

Fine, but its still doesn't answer question about NATO and EU members like Czech Republic or Hungary, what gives?

apparently

As much as I would like to believe it,......I think is simplified overmuch :)

Poland has had two golden chances to force the USA into giving the visa waiver, and has failed both times.

So, country's such Czech Republic and Lithuania or Estonia had so much more sense and leverge then Poland?
Maybe ?!

USA, Canada / My wife wants to return to Poland...but I want to stay in the US [155]

How can anyone think for a second that any advice can be helpful.
Nobody knows OP personally, or anything about him his wife nor their circumstances for that matter.
If he wanted genuine advice he should turn to friends family or somebody who know first thing about him.
All this, assuming he is for real!

key word is horoscope :)

The only thing you have "exposed"

youtube.com/watch?v=KZ2lWyTi0oY

what are you talking about????

Why only Poland is excluded from "visa free" USA policy from all others EU and NATO country's.

Have you personally applied and been denied? Just curious.

No, its has nothing to do with me, I mean is not personal, I just want to know.

Yes and no. If immersed in Polish culture for some lenthy time, It would still be colored (excuse me, coloured) by my native culture as frame of reference. Understood in the mind, yes, in the heart or instinctively? probably not.

You then, regard your native culture (excuse me, coulture) as distinctly different from Polish one, and it is based on ......?

I really feel about Poles is that there is much potential for them to be more open.

open? like shellfish westerners :P
Don't know what you mean!

Well, there can be a communal feel but too many are lone wolves and are growing to be jealous of their neighbours and what they have (in Poland). This is very noticeable in my home city of Aberdeen but I hope that Poland doesn't move more in this direction.

there no communal traits at all, sometimes group of right people do something but generally I would said that too much government interference and commercial attitude killed it as well or even better that in Aberdeen.

Wroclaw Boy:
are you saying that Polish people are different because theyre Polish?

No, I'm asking about your opinion and other foreigners living in Poland, do you think that Polish people are different( in what way?) because they are Polish?

nope, not if everyone speaks his own language, lol

It is actually great observation, ?I think that only great barrier to understand others European cultures is language!
Language is the key in more ways then one!

USA, Canada / My wife wants to return to Poland...but I want to stay in the US [155]

Slavic women are so good looking everybody loses their mind and makes stupid decisions I think. Then they turn into champion complainers and belittle and henpeck their husbands all the time. I can't speak from experience but I've known plenty of people who've told me about it plus this forum talks about it all the time.

thats is generalization and stupid one, if both sides had different expectations, **** happens, and I wouldn't blame women but stupid loser's who expected pretty wife and maid for free at the same time!

And don;t use this term Slavic - people from Poland don't think about themselves in those
terms!

And how you call Americans? mongrels :P

I'm playing with fire. ooooooh.

In Poland there is a plenty of nonsensical bureaucracy, that the way it is and with EU will not change for better!

your frustration useless, you either learn to live it as Poles do or die young age due to cardiac arrest !

Maybe you could have some conversation with real people outside your close circle!
If you are living in the country and you don't know the lingo, all you can say is about your experience is limited and artificial!

USA, Canada / What do the Poles hate and love about the U.S.? [170]

You can't google this information but the US border patrol, the ICIS, INS all know who doesn't return back.

Do you know this for a fact or it is your stipulation?
Can anybody confirm it?

The US gov does not give out statistics.

that's the point!
All the rest is speculation and prejudice on your part!

I have already exposed personal reasons of the one member of PF which prevented him from seeing clearly the discriminatory policy of USA government towards Polish citizens.

Now, I would like to know YOUR personal reasons for supporting this discriminatory policy without engaging in weeks long exchange of insults on PF forum;)

What

News / New constitution In Poland? [57]

Then again

I think that the issue of the powerful president or president with less power, is secondary to the issue of the political system and the way this system works.

News / New constitution In Poland? [57]

The ruling Civic Platform (PO) is proposing a new constituion which would weaken the president's veto powerr and effectively reduce him to the role

Then there should be monarchy.

The opposition Law and Justice (PiS) is proposing a stronger presidency, similar to the French model with elements of the Polish 1935 Constitution.

why French model? What;s wrong with American model?

To be honest the most important are details rather then stronger or weaker president.
