UK, Ireland / Work in any office in England without any degree? [11]

I would like to ask, if is possible to work in any office in England without any degree?

I don't live in England. I'm assuming you probably don't need a degree to answer your phone and say, "Hello, how may I assist you?"

USA, Canada / Pol-AM eateries/delis in California [17]

There's also European Deli and Bakery in Glendora, CA

I've been there a few times. They also sell other items such as mags. Owners are very friendly. Probably the best time to go is on a Saturday. That's when some of their pastries have a 1/2 price discount. I enjoy their poppy seed bread :)

Life / Are Border Collies popular in Poland? [30]

In Poland I don't recall seeing any Border Collies. The most popular dog I had seen was the Yorkshire Terrier. Very cute and fluffy :)

when the TV-series Lassie was on, loads of ppl wanted to have a dog like that, without knowing how to handle a dog of that kind. In NL this behaviour has kinda come to be known as the Lassie Complex.

People may not have realized, Lassie on the television series was actually a male dog. The reason being, a male dog's fur is much fuller and thicker, as opposed to that of a female dog.

was it good?

I usually eat before visiting the fair. It's much too overpriced.

Where kielbasa is better in Poland or in CA?

The kielbasa in Poland was more favorful imo. Fortunately, we've also got a few Polish delicatessens in CA, that are a very close second place:)

USA, Canada / Pol-AM eateries/delis in California [17]

This pic is from the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona, CA. I noticed at least 10 vendors selling 1/3 pound kielbasa sandwiches. The sandwiches looked and smelled delicious. Most people ordered them with fried bell peppers and onions. Didn't see any vendors offering sauerkraut to add to the kielbasa. The fair will last until the first week of October.

Love / Do Polish girls like playing with men's feelings on internet? [52]

we were together for about 2 months as a couple

gaiska

and she wanted to meet each other

You're not making much sense. How could the two of you possibly be a couple without meeting each other first?

Also, use some punctuation. Your paragraph is one confusing, long sentence..

Life / How to Politely Refuse a Drink in Poland [72]

I just want to dance..and dance..and dance (without falling).. :)

Have a blast at the Polish wedding. Save the room in your stomach for all the delicious Polish food, instead of booze...

Life / How to Politely Refuse a Drink in Poland [72]

My brother gave me a hint in advance, pertaining to Polish toasts. Relatives at our cousin's wedding in Lublin, would expect us to make several wódka toasts, to the bride and groom. There seemed to be endless baskets, filled with Palace Wódka. I had a half a shot glass; that was enough for me. Much too strong for this California girl. Every time we toasted, I simply kept using the same shot glass, never drinking or refilling the contents!

Food / How to cook Frozen pierogi? Boil or Fry? [90]

Cool, a new franchise opportunity awaits in Cali!

Amen! Believe me, the thought of opening a Polish restaurant in California has crossed my mind a few times. I'm a business woman after all and sometimes I take risks ;)

Food / Is Polish food still more natural than in the West? [142]

I was in Vegas and those In and Out Burgers were good!

We have the restaurant chain in California too. Their food is better because it's made to order. I order a plain single burger and add mustard or ketchup, instead of the traditional thousand island dressing. It's also pet-friendly. They allow dogs on leases in their outdoor eating area. I buy my dog a canine burger (just hamburger patty.)

McD has a good double cheeseburgers for a dollar (approx 3zł) over here. They have an entire Dollar Menu

Their menu may vary according to the demographic location. I order the $1.00 side salad, with reduced-fat vinaigrette dressing ;)

Food / Electric Grilling - I highly recommend it :) [30]

Are you talking about the Weber "smokey Joe" ? I have one of those also.

Nope, I'm talking about the cheap-o $3.99 Walmart and Kmart specials. Use the grill a few times & out it goes, lol!

For this reason too! Nothing beats a good old smoky grill...

The Los Angeles County fair kicked off over Labor Day weekend. Could smell the hypnotic BBQ aroma, during the millisecond of walking through the entrance gate. Too bad we don't have smellovision :)

Pierogi Restaurant Warszawa

I took a photo of a restaurant in Old Town Warszawa with the same name. Not sure if it's the same one. Possibly there's more than one location?

Was it at the 'Pierogarnia" restaurant in Warsaw by any chance?

I don't recall the name of the restaurant. It was located on the same block as the Westin Hotel.

I still use old fashioned charcoal and wood chips. I prefer the smoky flavor this sort of grilling gives meats

That's the method I prefer too. Makes the best BBQ chicken and corn on the cob, in the world! Also adds a nice atmosphere and ambiance to an outdoor gathering.

Food / What's your favorite Polish beer? [870]

I'm brave enough to try different foods and beverages, but not deep-fried beer. That's just wrong, lol.

That looks a very refreshing brewski Eurola. Some of the county fairs are now selling deep-fried beer. It sounds so nasty! I wonder if it's been experimented on Polish beer...

Life / Pictures of Poles [Everyday Life in Poland] [100]

Here's some pics of a few really sexy Polish guys, at the train station in Warszawa. I wish the 2nd pic would have turned out better. One guy's really making a fashion statement. He's wearing a striped shirt, plaid shorts, dark socks and dress shoes combo...

Firstly most Poles do not know what organic food really means

In the section of Southern California where I live, much of the area is still very rural. I like purchasing my fruits & veggies from local, organically grown farms & orchards.
