. For one, the USA is far more powerful than the EU in sheer military strength

Although I believe that,a recent article I read in The London Times stated that The USA would struggle in a war against Russia or China and have no chance at all against both....sometimes it's good to have friends....

I will go one up: when those outlets criticize Poland or the US, I am even more impressed with Poland and the US.

Rich,either you have changed your tone,or I have seen a different side of you.
Because I find myself agrreing with many of your posts......just back off on the anti Polish stuff.... :-)

No,they just sent them to Hard Labour camps in Siberia......and exterminated them at Katyn....

The Poles and the Irish do indeed have lots in common; their bloody, intense, often tragic

I am what some of you would class as a "Plastic Pole" and my wife is a "Plastic Paddy",we were both born in England,count ourselves as British but because of our cultural upbringing,find it difficult to call ourselves English.....my wife and I have often talked about the similar histories of The Irish and The Poles....even to some of the cuisine.....but I think one big difference was Communism....that really messed The Poles up.

The Poles have kept their culture intact,but The Irish have done a better job of it.
I love Irish culture as much as I love Polish culture.

So a poll clearly showing that the majority wouldn't take part in it even if they could means that the majority actually supports it?

Please don't distort my words.....I said that if a similar situation happened in The UK the polls would say the same.
Polls don't tell the full truth,you want to believe them because you don't want to believe what Polish people actually think.
You still don't understand Poles,after all those years of living there....

Which means that you're in a tiny minority and therefore your views cannot be taken as in any way representative of the Polish people

You keep trotting this c××p out but if there was a similar march in The Uk you would get a similar response.
It does not mean that the majoriry do not support it.

We will never win the argument with these ex pats in Poland.
They think they know it all.....but they don't understand the subtleties.....Poles are
not like The Brits,The French or The Germans.....what you see in Poland cannot be translated into British,French or German mentality....
Maybe The Yanks understand.....Poles are different.
