Life / Are there many crypto-Jews in Poland? [67]

It's just silly you tube video. One can say whatever one wants but it doesn't mean it's true, does it?
And the assumption that just because someone had some Jewish ancestors makes them Jewish is ridiculous. In my opinion it doesn't really matter .

History / For what the Germans owe Poland one trillion U.S. dollars? [299]

Are you a Pole of German descent , btw?

No that it matters but I will answer:
I leave in Silesia but my family came here after war.

Germans are the world`s biggest thieves .

I won't edit it because I want to say this:
No blanket statements.

Language / "No tak"; The Oddest Phrase In Polish For This American [75]

Reminds me of an anecdote my dad told me. He's French. My mum is Polish. The first time he had lunch at my mum's family, in Poland, he could not understand why when people were asked if they wanted more kluski, and answered 'no', they would get more kluski... They had just said 'no'!! ;)

My teacher (American) asked a girl for her phone number and she said yes (Polish no) . He said bye and walked away. The girl was suprised went after him and asked him why he walked away before she gave him her number :)

Life / Hey, Nice Airport Wrocław! Or! Day #1 for an American Ex-Pat in Poland. [128]

which in Poland apparently means you still have to climb a flight of stairs to get to it. 1st floor,

There are places with lift only from 3th floor up :)

Hey, you never say that about my threads any more ;o)

Do not only I don't say that about your threads but I also still wonder about the suspension ;)

Life / Hey, Nice Airport Wrocław! Or! Day #1 for an American Ex-Pat in Poland. [128]

As you have so far resisted that temptation, I shall herewith reward you with a link to an alphabetical list of idioms! Enjoy!

You want to keep me busy in order to make a mess of PF ? ;) It won't work :) One more word about my bad English and you're gone ;P

Thanks for the link :)

I'm going to be a pedant! The phrase is always You're a natural

The funny thing is that at first I wrote "a natural" but then changed my mind :)

Yes, I realise this may add to the weight of evidence to suspend me....

Oh boy, you have no idea :) I'm pushing the button right now ;)

USA, Canada / Relatives from Poland are coming to visit us in the USA. What do we buy for them? [7]

It is my understanding that these type of products are much more expensive in Poland

Usually they are.

and therefore are well-received as gifts

Depends on a person.

I wonder if perfumes from these cosmetic lines would be better gifts than cosmetics or skin care products

I think perfumes are a better idea.

Love / Marrying a Polish divorcee - no church wedding? [19]

As I told you- I really don't care about the church I just think it would be wiser for them to show understanding ( ppl can make mistake and I think we should help them when they want to change their ways- what if the girl wanted to get married but the guy wasn't?). And the child is brought up as a christian- her grandma takes care of that- she goes to church and so on.

But someone told me once that priest takes more money if couples are not married!

Some of them probably do but I wouldn't say that's usual behaviour.
