History / In Memory of victims, who had their lives cruelly taken at Treblinka Death Camp in Poland [104]

no it is not 'complicated'.. even Obama referred to 'Polish death camps' did he not?
the weirdest thing is that German school children are taken on tours of the camps...so they can learn about what happened....but guess what they go to Auschwitz, not any of the many that are on present German soil. Why is that?

Call me paranoid if you like but I think it's weird.

Law / My bf's visa expired and we want to marry in the UK [9]

Of course it's gonna have to happen in the U.K. cause he can't go anywhere. But eventually I'd like him to stay in Poland.

registrars these days are trained to spot sham marriages, in 'the U K'. '

you would need an immigration lawyer, not random advice on an internet forum.
Still, you did aks, so here is my five pence worth.
He has outstayed his visa by three years in the UK, and getting married to some Polish bird isnt going to 'fix' that.
When i hear of people like you, Brexit makes me happy.

Life / HIV/AIDS growing in Poland - more fear of pregnancy than STDs [82]

Only time I've heard of HIV outbreak in Poland is when the African refugee infected 50+ women by claiming condoms are racist

ergo...if poor nottie hasn't 'heard' of something, this means it's not true. Logical.

nottie you will find that the fastest growing HIV rate in Central Europe is among the heterosexual population.
As Atch said, that is largely due to a lack of state education on HIV, leading to people like yourself being quite ignorant and deluded about the spread of this disease.

30 years ago in the UK there was a massive education program on HIV, with information leaflets being delivered thro every door in the country. Therefore only the really illiterate people are as ignorant as you obviously are about this topic, with the nonsense that you spout. Educate yourself a little.

Classifieds / House cleaner job - Chichester, West Sussex [12]

Life on benefits in the UK is very cushy.

if you think living on 70 quid a week, even if your rent is (mostly) paid, is 'cushy' then obviously either you have never done it or you have really low standards of what constitutes 'cushy'.

Yes most people want to work, wherever they come from.
<waits for someone to start on single parents>

£10 per hour on a self employed basis works out far better than minimum wage on PAYE for people that are happy to work I can assure you.

how did you work that out? Arithmetic not your strong point then? Let's see, let's factor in tax, NI, holiday pay and sick pay. ....

cushy government handouts in the UK.

oh get real, dolno. Would £140 a fortnight be 'cushy' to you? really? and obviously there are no 'government top ups' for unprotected workers working cash in hand.

If someone wants to employ people, they should do it properly and legally, and not take advantage of immigrant labour and then witter about those who are 'happy to work'. I bet there is not even insurance.

if you want to employ people, do PAYE,(Isuppose you mean 'self employed '? ) and advertise locally.
Stop trying to exploit immigrants.

UK, Ireland / Question about Irish-Polish similarities [25]

"Staunch" and Catholic simply seem to go together!

they do , don't they? some kind of collocation. Lots of Catholics are not 'staunch' at all though and many Irish people are not Catholic.

I remember once some girl asked my brother if he was from a 'staunch Catholic' family (we have an Irish name) - it took him ages to stop laughing.

UK, Ireland / Question about Irish-Polish similarities [25]

staunch Roman Catholics

impetuous temper outbursts and a tendency to volatlity:-)

oh please do we have to do that lazy national stereotyping?
And why are Roman Catholics always 'staunch'? Could one be a 'staunch' Methodist?

Life / Polish people and racism. [943]

oh right lol, its what 'transwomen' use to describe 'real women', meaning that someone was born a woman and didnt get there some other way..:)

It really gets on my nerves. I am not a 'CIS woman' I am just , you know, a woman.

News / How will BREXIT affect the immigrants in UK and Poland. [1114]

i been living here since 1999

in that case, just sit tight...this May woman won't be here long, I am sure of that.

I guess he could be a British citizen through marriage, but I am not sure if he even went that far. Its all in the distant mists of time...

OK so for example, if you were not doing PAYE and not declaring income , you might have to leave, even if you had been there for many years?

I just cannot imagine anyone being asked to leave, its too much, UK needs workers, doesnt it?
