Cheap "credit" drives inflation, and especially when it's used to purchase large assets with a perceived value and safety of "investment", like a house.

Exactly, this way the banks can double or even treble the return they get. 1. From the first person going into debt unable to afford rises in payments. 2. The banks seizing person ones assets and sells them off, doubling their return 3. The bank itself going into debt and being bailed out by the populace (taxes) ....repeat this cycle a few times throughout history and you have some very rich men.

It would seem like it's a valid concern though. In this case for instance, the law in her country of origin creates a strong disequilibrium between us. Being on equal terms is, if not the most important, then one of the most important things in a relationship. Of course thats just my opinion.

It is not a valid concern. You don't start relationships with the thought of how much compo will their government take from me.

The law is apparently MUCH more brutal on the matter in Poland than here.

It's about the same, there is no such thing as a BRUTAL law when a child is involved. If you're stupid enough not to take precautions then you should pay whatever the law deems fit to make you and then some ;)

f you are not UK based and not paid by a UK company then the CSA cant touch you.

Ah, but the CSA can. For example a Polish father who got a British woman pregnant but he returned to Poland. The CSA can still push via the Polish government any child benefit payments that should be made by the father.

Yes they it would and so would British law if she gets in touch with the CSA...

The majority of Poles I know in Scotland for instance, how do I know its most? Cos I am there boss and also cos of my past ties with Poland get invited to a few of the parties. I joke at the parties why am I the only Scotsman there :D
