UK, Ireland / British men don't really like women [137]

You can find articles like these about guys from just about any nationality, and such articles are usually written by foreign ladies who probably couldn't get laid because of their own sexual inhibitions, and of course carrying a bag of unrealistic expectations or being way too picky usually doesn't help either. What can I say? Funny thread, thanks for the laugh!

Oh, my bad! I thought this was about images, so I figured it could be about the actual size of the images, which seemed to sound reasonably on-topic to me at the moment I posted it? Or maybe your infallible logic sorta got lost in translation? (My Polish isn't always *that* good!)

Life / How Long Before Poland Has Its 'Dumbest Generation'? [84]

its media, and it sells. thats it.. and your buying it, cause your all upset over a kid who shouldnt even be important to you..

I'm not upset, just ridiculing the very same people who like ridiculing today's working-class people through the media. (I see it, but do you??)

Some of the latest trendy things to say? Well, here it comes!

''Rich people have more, longer and better sex and more orgasms than people who belong to the lower classes.''

Oh really? Well, I'm sure money attracts more partners, but I'm also pretty damn sure there have to be atleast a few rich guys who can't see junior unless they're holding their breath, and it's very likely that some of their wives don't really feel junior has much to offer! I'm not sure if people have noticed, but physical attributes aswell as strength and stamina play a huge role in the whole sex thing.

Or how about: ''Women feel much better with a rich partner?''

Even when the guy is a total abusive *sshole? (Hey, poor people can be abusive *ssholes too by the way!)

what is important is what you do with your life.

I understand that completely, and eventhough I know where I'm going, or atleast where I'm trying to get, that's not the entire truth either, is it? I mean, I'm not alone on this planet, and unfortunately for me there are some greedy people who are trying to make damn sure people like us won't get too far!

I'm sure you've noticed that today everything revolves around money, and they're obviously taking most of that money away from the people who actually have to work for it while they're giving themselves a pat on the back, which usually translates into a couple of million Dollars they really didn't deserve. So yeah, I like making fun of people who bend over and perform blowjobs to get rich, especially when they belong to the same media-circus which likes to ridicule and make fun of working class people.

Life / How Long Before Poland Has Its 'Dumbest Generation'? [84]

At least I don't own one.

I do, but I only watch the news, and sometimes even some comedians who still have something thought-provoking to say, check teletext, and even then I question everything I hear, see and read. Sometimes there are actually half-decent series to follow, or interesting documentaries to watch, but I usually only turn on the TV to watch a DVD, if I want to see a movie at all, that is.

Britannia High is a BBC Four programme, one of the most popular programme ever aired by this station:

What the f*ck?? Yeah, this is exactly what I meant with the new generation of sissy-boys and I-sluts. He's a real man? Bwhahahahaha! (Let's hear that again from you girls the moment he drops his pants, shall we?) Oh man, it really seems they're trying to infect the entire world's population with the Justin Bieber disease! (I mean, with programmes like this, who needs conspiracy theories?)

News / What's the stupidest question asked about Poland? [414]

What's the stupidest question asked about Poland?

Are Polish girls really girls? Or are they Goddesses?

I need directions! Where can I find Amsterdam? Is it near Warszawa?

Is having sex illegal in Poland?

Are Polish people really as tall as people who grew up on the Moon?

Tomasz! Jak to masz?

Why are Polish people so reluctant to build bridges? Are they vampires?

Why do so many Polish people study English, when it's obvious they're far more popular in India?

I'm 4,17% Polish, should I be worried? (OMG!! Maybe I'll be 4,50% Polish tomorrow! What if it's a virus??)

How come it's always so cold in Poland? Is it because it's near the South Pole?

xD

Hands up if you think that was stupid!!

I want to have it! Pick me! Pick me! Can I get a bottle of Champaign with that aswell? And two chicks with funny hats who are going to kiss us for being the fuckwit of the year? (Because somehow I suspect it won't be a woman.) And a stage? And a press-conference?

Who knows it?

I obviously don't.

;P

Women are looking for thousands things, men are often looking for a great lover.

Yes, but only one or two (Okay, maybe three!) things really seem to matter to them.

This is a problem.

Well, it seems to me that men know what they want, and women obviously don't? I mean, if I had to look for a thousand things in a woman, I would never find a woman who would fit the picture I have in mind.

Life / Foreigners in Poland and what they think of us [54]

Why should we care?

Because other EU countries are paying additional taxes for Poland, and there are many foreign investors who happen to make profitable deals with the Polish. I wouldn't underestimate foreign relationships. But what the average guy and girl might, or might not think of your country wouldn't be too much of a concern to me either.

Is Poland split into two religions: catholicism and non-believers?

Don't kid yourself. There has always been a silent group of non-believers in Poland, aswell as people who believe in other things, or just happen to follow a different religion. So no, it's not split in just two groups. If only things were so simple.

History / Felix Topolski - what a wonderful discovery (for me) [15]

I was watching a programme the other day and they showed some of his work, what an interesting chap, great artist and illustrator.

If this is what all of his works look like, then I'm guessing his personality must've been slightly more interesting than his sketches were? (A bit too simple for my liking.)

What other hidden gems does Poland have?

''Chiaruscuro II'' by Małgorzata Kosiec. (Acrylic, signed 2008.) I like this one very much.

''The Feast'' by Małgorzata Kosiec. (Acrylic, signed 2008.) A bit creepy, but colourful nevertheless.

I don't hate you either, AJ, but you have to give up all that heresy spreading and stuff. Otherwise, I believe that... *see post no. 28* :)

You call it heresy, but there's plenty of historical evidence, documents, traditions and scriptures to be found which suggest otherwise. And you may believe that, but I have plenty of reasons to believe otherwise.

No truth what so ever?

Nope. Not from where I'm standing. Sorry.

So religion has never done and true good or taught it?

Like?

All those morals and ideals of good are false?

Morals are as false or as true as you believe them to be, since morals are taught.

Sure religion has false aspects to it, but one cannot deny there are also valid and good ones.

The negative seems to outweigh the positive in your religion.

To say those teachings have no truth whatsoever is just as wrong a generalization as me calling you Stalin...so.

Something that's true has to be proven without leaving a shadow of a doubt. Morals aren't the truth. Morals are a part of the truth. Like: You shall not kill. Okay. Sounds good. But what if someone tries to kill me? I should just let that person kill me and turn the other cheek because a book says so? No, I should protect myself by any means necessary since I didn't do anything to harm that person. See, that's the truth.

It's my BELIEF, and I am educated in the sciences mind you. Also when did I prohibit you?

You didn't personally, but some religious ******* have implemented laws which prohibit people to oppose, question or debate religion, even in a European country like Ireland. (Are we living in 2010 or what?)

Get real, it's criticism in dialogue. I spoke of coexistence, your the one who wished to eradicate an ideal by your wish to "get rid of it"

If celebrating death and demonizing human nature is an ideal then I would very much like to get rid of that, yes. Not by force, not by violence, but by logic and reasoning.

You honestly think all the problems in the world are because of Islam?

No, but most of the bloodshed has been caused by these mainstream religions, and there's no denying that.

Also do you honestly think that this whole 9/11, terrorism, and issue in the Middle east is because of religion alone? Because it wasn't always happening in the history of Islam....

Read the Qu'ran. Muhammed carved himself a bloody path through the Middle East, killing all who disagreed with his truth. (And I say his, because I'm pretty sure no God ever told him to plunder and rape.)

I believe capitalism is a bigger issue in modern day, sure religion might have been the world evil during the Crusades, but in modern day more people die of preventable diseases and lack of resources daily than have ever perished in the Crusades or Inquisitions alone

Can you back this up with factual information? Because I'm pretty damn sure the average age of people has increased, that people live longer lives and are generally healthier than they were a few centuries ago. Oh, and about some of these preventable diseases: Isn't Benedict telling everyone not to use condoms?

I believe your mentality of getting rid of "superstitions" for a better society is the same as Stalin's whose also failed...

That comparison just isn't going to fly, because I'm not Stalin. I don't plan to kill or oppress people I disagree with. And why compare me to Stalin? I mean, look at the founding fathers of America. They made sure the Church wouldn't be able to oppress and terrorize people in America like they were doing in Europe. Were they like Stalin?

I'm all about dialogue. I will always accept the fact that there are people who want to go to Church, but I will want to speak my mind about that very same Church and its teachings when I honestly believe it doesn't spread any kind of truth whatsoever, without having to worry about some lying fraud who's screaming and yelling about blasphemy. So who wants to fine me for my opinions? Who wants to sentence me to prison for something I believe in? Am I calling for such laws? Hey, you can deny it until you're blue in the face, but that *is* oppressive and it *is* a fascist thing to uphold such laws. You're basically prohibiting people to question your so-called truth, while you have no evidence whatsoever to prove that it is, indeed, the truth.

So keep your Stalin comparisons to yourself please. I'm not comparing you to Hitler either. I'm criticizing the institute and certain laws. Not you, nor your faith. I hope you can see the huge difference there.

Is that TRULY what's causing all the bloodshed and problems in the world today?

So all these people aren't blowing themselves up in the name of some God? They aren't trying to conquer Europe in the name of some God? Interesting. I could swear they were doing just that. You could say it's not the same. You could. But they believe in something, and look at what it does to them. I mean, you wouldn't blow yourself up for your God if you didn't believe in him now, would you? That's what religion is capable of. It's a destructive tool for those who want power, to use people.

so should we knock that down?

Like it or not, but the majority of religious people are doing just that. (Check their blasphemy laws for example.)

I am not interested AT ALL in your heretical views on Jesus

Those are not my vieuws though. Those are the vieuws of the people who have followed the teachings of Jesus from the very first moment he taught them. To call those people Heretics just proves how genuinely interested you are in history, or even your own religion.

YAAAAAAAAAAAWN! *see above*

It's convenient to dodge questions which might prove troublesome for you to answer, isn't it?

;)

Let's just leave it at that for today.

key word here, humanity,, which has committed crimes against each other no matter what denomination you are and or if your a believer or non believer.

True, but I'm convinced that once we'll get rid of all these superstitions, stigmas and lies which tend to cause quite a few problems between people, that there will be less bloodshed eventually. People will learn more about themselves and their surroundings over time. I like to think that with knowledge and understanding go hand in hand, and that with understanding comes respect. (One day!)

personally seeing the statue go up vs a missle shield that was talked about in another topic is better.

Hey now, I do agree with that one.

hey, maybe they are going to put up that statue to hide one ?? ya think?

Nobody KNOWS what happens after we die. There is a fine line between knowledge and faith (that's probably why we have two separate words for them.)

That's what I mean, you use your faith as an excuse to tell other people what you don't even know yourself. It would be smarter (And wiser.) if you didn't.

I wouldn't call it "a claim". I simply expressed a prediction based on my faith (not "knowledge", as you were smart enough to notice.)

Well, I certainly hope you're smart enough to notice your own words then:

I merely stated that if you really want to see Lucifer, then eventually you will.

Of course, the ''you will'' part being presented as some kind of absolute certainty.

Yes, with idiotic jokes like...

Again, it is a lame joke, but it's also serious. I just mean to say that if you know everything about what happens after we die, then you should be able to tell me something about it, which you can't, which means you don't know anything I don't, which means you should keep your own insults to yourself aswell. I think you're smart enough to notice how you and some other people here constantly insult non-believers or non-religious people with the things being said, yet you guys act all surprised and semi-shocked when you get what you give.

It's your problem, not mine. Poland is an overwhelmingly Catholic country, and if Catholics in Poland want to build a huge statue of Jesus, on their own land, with their own money, then it's nothing to you.

Yes, and what I think about it will have to be your problem. Poland isn't as overwhelmingly Catholic as you make it out to be either, and you'll find that Poland will become less and less Catholic over time.

It is a statue of Jesus Christ. Now, please, tell us all about the countless crimes against humanity that Jesus commited.

You simply can't deny that this is your religious symbol. You can't deny that countless of crimes against humanity have been committed by the Catholic church either. So this statue, being your religious symbol definitely represents the hold that Catholicism still seems to have over Polish society, which I vieuw as a backwards, oppressive and fascist ideology. So that'll have to be your problem then, since I'm not the one who's erecting statues of Humanitarians everywhere.

I really couldn't be arsed answering for the hundreth time to the same old, primitive liberal propaganda about the Holy Inquisition, the terrible oppressive church etc. etc.
It's just too boring.

I find your Pope and his lecturing boring. Same old bullshit about how terrible all those non-believers are for not listening to him. Same old bullshit about how evil and wrong a society will become without their guidance. And you don't think that's belittling and insulting to adult people who can think for themselves?

Well, if 95% of people in my town were satanists and they were paying for it with their own money, then, although I wouldn't like it, I would accept it without moaning like
a b*itch.

I'm not talking about a majority here. It's not about the number of people who follow something, it's about the principle. I'm willing to bet that if I erected a statue of Lucifer in some village in Poland, someone would have my head for it. Yet such people are expecting others to accept everything they impose on everyone.

*of course, I would never live in such town, but I assume it was a purely hypothetical question :)*

Yes, it was hypothetical. It could've been a statue of Lenin aswell, or even some Pagan Goddess. It's about the principle of acceptance here.

You see - that's what I'm talking about. Primitive remarks like that, would certainly keep Catholics, who are less patient than I am, from talking to you in a civil manner :)

That's pretty hypocrite, because as you can see his remarks were equally primitive, and equally insulting, I just worded it stronger. But of course you've missed all of that, since he's telling you what you like to hear, and I'm not. (How convenient.)

There are those who try to offset their anti-Judaeo-Chrisitian animosity by invoking some of that hippy-exotic guru-maharajah-nirvana-karma BS which they tend to idealise.

See what I mean, Torq?

;)

Well, in a sense he is, but let's not forget that he was also able to be harsh and austere to pharisees, for example, or merchants and money changers when he cleaned the Temple of them.

Do you know what a Pharisee is, Torq? A Pharisee is someone like Benedict. Jesus had problems with establishment and organized religion. Ironically, it was this organized religion which persecuted him, twisted his words, changed history and turned the real teachings of Jesus into a total mockery with their version of the truth.

You all seem to forget that he is also A GOD and a King of all creation, and no
matter how big a statue we build, it will never reflect the fullness of his glory.

Oh really? Then why did Jesus tell his own followers and his own disciples that he wasn't divine, and that no one should worship him or even kneel before him? He was a Rabbi, a teacher, a healer and a mysticist. Ask the Ebionites, or the Ebionim. They know best. Jesus was the leader of the Ebionim, and his brother took it upon himself to continue his teachings after he was crucified. (In secret, because the Church of Rome was persecuting the real Christians and murdering them for their beliefs.)

I am quite sure that God is pleased with their effort - just as I am pleased with my little daughter's effort when she draws a picture of me on a piece of paper and gives the drawing to me, because it means that she loves her daddy :)

Can you show me where Jesus has ever told anyone that he was King over all creation, or where he said that he was God? Jesus was a mortal man who died 2010 years ago, he wasn't crucified to save you or anyone else, he was crucified because he opposed the establishment of his time, and its organized religion. (Which transformed into the Vatican.)

;)

I merely stated that if you really want to see Lucifer, then eventually you will.

Look, if you can't even be straightforward about why you're implying something, then we really don't have much to discuss, do we? Still, the fact remains that you don't know anything about what happens after we die, so how you can make such ridiculous claims without seeing yourself as a complete fraud will have to remain a mystery to me.

The answer is simple - you are (with your disparaging and bellitling remarks, aimed at ridiculing Catholic faith.)

Oh really? I am belittling and disparaging your faith because I don't like to see your religious symbols everywhere? (Your faith is personal, and these symbols simply aren't.) To you, it may be a wonderful statue, but to me such symbolism represents the mental and spiritual oppression we've been suffering for far too long. If that's an insult to you, then so be it. Just remember that statue is an insult to me, because I don't see it as a symbol of love and peace, but I see it as a symbol of an institute which committed countless of crimes against humanity. (And I actually have history on my side to prove me right.)

However, experience on countless internet fora has taught me that people who try to bellitle Catholic (or Jewish, Buddhist, Protestant etc.) faith, with jokes similar to those
with which you favoured us, are usually complete ignoramuses (to put it very mildly.)

I have more respect for Buddhists. Know why? They don't feel the need to ventilate and impose their ways on everyone all the time. They have their temples and their own special places, but they don't go around town bothering people with their lecturing and planting their statues everywhere.

And although that question may have seemed like a total joke to you, it still was a serious question. So I'm going to ask it again: How would you feel about a 35 meters high statue of Lucifer in your town? Would you accept that, or not? Simple question, right? Since you expect everyone else to like your statues, I'm very curious about your own willingness to accept something you probably totally disagree with.

It is possible that you are NOT a complete and utter idiot and that your intelligence is, in fact, higher than that of an average refrigerator. Quite possible, I'd say.

I guess you're the one who believes refrigerators actually have intelligence. It's needless to say that I don't, but..

;)

It's funny the way those who never throw even a buck/quid in the collection plate balk at how others are spending their money, be it on churches or monuments or whatever.

Just like it's funny how you're assuming and implying that those people who don't, never make any donations or decide to help other people.

These are probably the very same people who eagerly squander their own cash to make the filthy rich beer barons, gadgetmongers, fashion freaks, druglords and celebrity types even richer.

I know one thing for certain: My money isn't spent on child-molesters.

Somehow they never say that money could be better spent helping flood victims or hungry kids!

Someone already said so.

:)

Your pathetic attempts at disparaging Catholics and bellitling our faith do not impress me.

Hey, you're the one who was trying to tell me I would probably go to Hell for making jokes about a non-existant statue.

I find such exhibits of ignorance and idiocy to be truly lamentable.

Who's exhibiting idiocy and ignorance here I wonder?

Oh, well - I guess you're a typical product of modern popular culture in its lowest, most primitive form.

Don't pretend to know anything about what happens after we die, because you don't. The only reason I asked Filios that question about a statue of Lucifer is because if he expects people to accept all these statues of Jesus everywhere, then he should be ready to accept other statues aswell. He seems to be dishing it out all the time, so I was wondering if he could take something.

Your choice - have fun watching "Jerry Springer Show", while I read Jacques Maritain's books and contemplate an extract from St. Thomas Aquinas writings :)

Ah, you think you know something I don't? Maybe you should ask the Ebionites or the Ebionim what Yeshua has taught them, and has told them about himself. If it makes you happier to contemplate on whatever someone else writes then that's cool, just try to remember you're nothing special, and don't know anything I don't. I have little respect for people who pretend to know something, while they're actually insulting my intelligence all damn day. I don't watch Jerry Springer either.

Anyway - the statue of Jesus is being built and the best thing is, that there is absolutely nothing that godless twats on this forum (or anywhere else) can do about it :)

If God exists then I'm not godless, and if he doesn't then I am. Simple.

:)
