News / Poland Parliament elections in October 2011 [944]

will Poland be better off when the KGHM and coal mining sector close? sure

Surely not.For your information KGHM is the 6th copper and the 2nd silver producer in the World.Poland would be better off with few more KGHMs since KGHM provides jobs (well paid jobs since avg pay in KGHM is 9000 PLN/month) for thousends of Polish people and bilions of USD to Poland's budget. And you want to close it???You better get your head examined.

USA, Canada / Polish man's visit a nightmare - Welcome To Canada [65]

How would that mete out justice to the people who actually did this to the Polish tourist? Isn't that just punishing others for crimes of their country men?

It is punishing others for the crime of their countrymen,no doubt about it.It is also not fair BUT it seems to be the only way to influence Canadians to put pressure on their government.I mean this man was held for 10 days because he had some baby clothes in his luggage!Don't you find it outrageous?I do.F u c k Canada and f u c k Canadians.I will never go to the f u c k i n g country of Canada and given an opportunity I will pay back random Canadians for mistreatment of my countrymen.I will.

Real Estate / How to get my property back in Poland? I left 36 years ago. [59]

I refer you to page 16 of the 1995 edition of the Rough Guide to Poland: there is a warning there regarding illicit money exchange transactions.

Alternatively, check the 1999 edition of the Lonely Planet guide to Poland, page 60 "Street moneychangers are slowly becoming an extinct species, but some still hang around touristy places. Give them a miss - most are con men. Particularly, beware of moneychangers in Gdansk."

I am sorry, what?I am Poland's native and you refering me to the Rough Guide to Poland?I am sure there were or even still are con men taking advantage of dumb and ignorant foraigners, nothing wrong with that but what does it have to do with currency exchange?

Real Estate / How to get my property back in Poland? I left 36 years ago. [59]

Perhaps owning another Smokie tape or the latest offering from the Rolling Stones would have made you a hit with the ladies,
who knows?

In 1985 I was in an elementary school and at that time Matchbox models seemed to me to be much more fun than ladies.Seriously.

not in 1993 they weren't. there were lots of money changers. all wore black leather jackets, all were surly

Check the facts before posting becuse already up to 1992 5000 kantors were opened in Poland.

the black market rate on a dollar was higher. certain kantors offered better rates.

I am sorry but you are stupid, when the kantors opened the black market ceased to exist and that's the whole point. Many of kantors are owned by these "midlle aged men" you were reffering to earlier.

It seems that you may be the one who has never been inside a Pewex store (did they not let peasants shop there?): one could, in theory, pay in several different currencies, including zloty; however the cheapest way to do it was to change your zloty to dollars as the local kantor (or man in leather jacket outside) would give you a better rate than Pewex would.

Obviously you are an idiot.

Yawn. Clearly you are too retarded to understand the concept of 'getting more for your money by buying at a better rate'.

Pewex was not exchanging curriences you dumb f u c k.

Nevermind, go back to your illegal job as an illegal immigrant while you can: it's only a matter of time before you get caught and deported.

I am actually at home drinking coffe and smoking a cigarette you fag.

Had I known that the payment terms would be of such importance I would have paid much more attention 18 years ago

I will say that again, you have no clue about Pewex and stuff. It could not be 18 years ago because Pewex began accepting Złoty on August 1st 1990.

the banks had one rate, the kantors had another and the surly men in black leather jackets had yet another rate
not all kantors charged the same rate and some of the surly chaps were not adverse to slipping monopoly money into the wodge
that they gave you.

honestly chubs, please do not argue about things you have no idea about

Are you stupid or what?I just told you that since March 16th 1989 anyony could buy or sell any amount of USD in kantory.
I have no idea?I actually unlike you was shoping in Pewex as early as 1985 for Matchbox models and tapes.

Pewex was still running in 1993 where you could buy luxury items but they would only accept US dollars

Really? It's obvious that you have never been in any Pewex store because they accepted all major curriences and bony PKO.

indeed you could however I seem to remember you got a much better rate paying in yankee greenbacks which you could obtain from surly middle aged men wearing black leather jackets and who hung outside the Pewex stores

And what are you talking about now???Huh?What better rate?Since march 16th 1989 anyone in Poland could buy as many USD as one wanted in kantory wymiany walut, so what better rate are you talking about?

News / Polish president traveling LOT? What about POLISH AIRFORCE 1? [23]

given the cost of all those seats in Business Class which probably outweighed the cost of an airforce plane.

I highly doubt it.
And if any of you don't like the idea of Mr Komorowski travelling with LOT,you are of course free to buy him a plane and take care of it's maintence because I am not going to pay for it.Why did he even had to go there??? ********** doesn't have a phone/skype or what?If I was a president I would be sitting in Warsaw and if someone had a bussines to me he could call me or come over.Enough of flying all over the globe at Polish people expense.

News / Poland Parliament elections in October 2011 [944]

In fact, let's go one further - anyone who fails to submit a PIT-11 form should be prohibited from voting.

F u c k the PIT-11 dude!I am not going to submit any PIT form until I see that it's actually worth it to do so.You can submit all kinds of PIT forms so the crooks can waste or steal your money but I won't.Period.

Law / Is running a business in Poland very profitable? [33]

Yeah and also because it is cheap. For example you can buy a pair of jeans in there for about 120zl yet in somewhere like Zara you will pay 200+

120PLN and you call it cheap? This is $41.For $41 I bought 2 pairs of Levi's jeans on sale and still had $11 left in my wallet.

News / Poland Parliament elections in October 2011 [944]

I don't care,I only want PO PiS SLD and PSL OUT!!!They have had over 21 years to show what they are capable of and I am not impressed at all matter of fact I am pissed!Palikot is a decent dude and even though I don't really like the way he is presenting himself sometimes he talks some sense. My preferable option to be honest would be to rozjebać the whole system thru the revolution and then start over with a new one without any crook who held any postion within the last 21 years but it seems not enough Poles are ready to go with this somewhat radical option.

News / Poland Parliament elections in October 2011 [944]

I will most likely be in Poland at the time of elections and if I won't have anything better to do I am going to vote for the first time in my life.I will vote either for Ruch Palikota or Kongres Nowej Prawicy (I even consider joining either party).Hopefully there is more smart people in Poland to do the same because it's a high time to kick out PO PiS SLD and PSL pigs out of Sejm. So,I am not voting "for" but more like "against" and I encorage you guys to vote Palikot or KNP too!We need a change in this country!

USA, Canada / Gift idea for something uniquely American that is difficult to find in Poland? [67]

i still say bring American soda. so many good sodas that you just can't get in Poland

Can of soda,WOW,what a great gift idea!I think a pack of chewing gums will be even better way to show appreciation, don't you think so?STFU dude, you are out of your element.

A bottle of decent bourbon e.g Wild Turkey or Knob Creek will be a perfect and elegant way to show appreciation and it will not offend

anybody like a can of soda would.

Life / Have many Poles had enough of one another? [198]

Poles dont like german products,

No patriotic Pole should be buying any German products because of what they did to Poland not so long ago.I also boycott French (because these cowards didn't help us),Dutch (because of the way they treat Poles in Netherlands) and British products (because of their anti Polish bias) and I encurage all Poles to boycott all products from mentioned countries.

Life / Have many Poles had enough of one another? [198]

They do?I don't think so.If they had eneugh of it they would do what the Libyans did.So it seems to me that they are still cool with what's going on in the country of Poland. But I can tell you what,if they ever decide to rise up and march on Warsaw I will be in the first line singing Warszawianka.

Really? What are you trying to say dude?!I have met people from all of mentioned countries and they weren't even close to the level of many Poles or even mine.
