News / Row over status of Poles in Germany sours relations [176]

Poles whine if they don't get free Polish-language schools

nonsense, nobody is whining it is issue of bilateral relations !

Poles consider it perfectly acceptable that the foreigners can be told who they may and may not live with.

Well, I for once don't know what are you talking about !

People eventually get back what they give out, sadly a lot of Poles can not understand that.

Well, maybe it is Australian experience, for Poles it was different - whatever you give out (a gold coin or a good deed for example) you get back ****.

If you have some problems with offices and people behind the desk remember they are not there to do the job, they are there because they have a connections and are happy that they can sit all day and get pay for that.

You are just a nuisance for them ...

Germanic settlement reached till to the Vistula. We have the map to show it..what have you?

Even if we assume for a moment that what you spawn here is possible, these late comers, not necessarily Poles yet, but say almost-Poles, they have mixed with local German or better almost-Germans and together had grown into what is know now as Poles.

Those almost-Germans which left are only distant relations.
Meaning Poles are a real natives of said territories.
It is interesting concept, Germanic tribes plus Romans = French, Germanic tribes plus Celt's = Germans and so on :)

As for the thread topic:
I think that Poles should not have granted the rights of minority in German but all the minority rights of Germans in Poland should be revoked. It is only fair! Parents can organize teaching for their children. Simple!

The history of Germans in these lands goes back for 2000 years...that's native

Stop spreading that BS! You are funny while at the same time you support Palestinians.
Tell you 2000 years ago on the lands in question there were some people but nobody was questioning the about their nationality :D
Why don't you claim Scandinavia which is your cradle, bloody idiot!

All of those are rights denied in Poland to non-Poles.

You mean to foreigners like you without Polish citizenship?Weren't you bragging that you can get Polish citizenship any-time you want, but you don't need it enjoying full rights as a EU citizen.

Well cry me a river and make a thread about it - here you are off topic!

Where did you read such propaganda?

Well, wasn't those schools funded by Polish money ? Anyhow doesn't matter two or ten subjects as long as they know the lingo, Lithuanian police state should buzz off from those schools.

Merging schools with the intention of closing down Polish onces.
What about property land mainly in Wilno region? Rightful owners still did not get it back.
You should concentrate on your population abroad - how many from 3,5m ? 1m or closer to 2m emigrated ?

Do you know the difference between rights and privileges? Were the rights rudely violated, Lithuania would have faced some sort of penalty by EU.

Right which were agreed upon, and which Lithuanian minority in Poland enjoy fully. Why isn't there not penalty?Beats me, I think they should be punished and the Lithuanian minority rights in Poland withdrew.

Have you been to Lithuania to verify this claim?

Yes! and more, if it comes to Poles rights in Lithuania you will not be able to sell me your fairy stories.

It looks like Poland in the end will make a lot of enemies but not friends

Lithuanians ain't Polish friends anyway - their choice!

I take sides against the Świętokrzyśzka Brigade.

I don't see that way. I see as you are trying to impose your standard and prejudices onto Poles. Also when their interest is at stake you often than not take the stand against their interest.

Watch yourself! :)

Although you might have liked them :)

Had grandpa there, do you have problem with that ?

Very simply, Poland discriminates against foreigners who live in Poland and does so in ways which are contrary to EU law.

Not Germans or Lithuanians who have schools in their language and all minority rights and additionally Germans have one or two PM in Parliament.
Not to mention that Lithuania doesn't respect rights of Poles living there, as well as Germany, both insist on refusing Poles those right their countrymen enjoy in Poland.

WTF

WTF are you talking about? If someone was born in Germany is the matter of curse that he/she will speak language of the country he/she lives in.

Their parents pay tax in Germany is only natural since German in Poland enjoy those right - it should go both ways or no way!

News / Do Poles take Kaczynski seriously!? [199]

but have you seen him nearly trembling and looking like a dog about to beaten??

What is the point with that knowledge of languages, I think that politicians should speak their own language even if they know foreign languages.
I think that LK was laughing because of that propaganda spin about LK not knowing foreign languages and then along comes Tusk and is showing off with his English - Mrs Rise welcome in oland! Er ? where ?

Well both of them twins are ugly dots and odd behavior, but it is not what counts really is it, or at last what shouldn't count.

What they say and do makes sense and what Tusk say and do it make no sense.

It must also have some degree of craftsmanship though there is a debate on this (see Gombrich) - I could carve a sculpture - but would it be accepted as a sculpture?

Your sculpture would have to be recognized as a sculpture, it means that art have to have universal appeal.

Exactly - though the penalty is up to 2 years in prison.

More often than not those moronic scribblers are teenagers or kids, so a can of paint shoved up their ass would do just fine.

There was even some offer of military alliance, which we should accept in my opinion.

We should have accepted their Grippen instead of F-15 expensive junk.

History / Polish flag over the Reichstag first? [399]

I'm pretty sure that Hitler would've stayed away from France; at least in 1939.

maybe but then he would have more time to prepare and strike in 1940. France wasn't able to stop him even though Poland's fate had given her a year for that.

News / 2011 Netherlands discuss Polish deportation plan [118]

Fvck you, IS ... you are lying as usual.

Well, fvck you too....you are dumb and pompous as usual.

And what do you claim this means? Try to write some legible English for a change.

sorry, sometimes I think in Polish. I had in mind that milk form EE country's flooding Germany, Belgium and Dutch-land had been imported by Dutch, German and Belgian firms, and those firms benefited most.

And this? Still no explanation, nutthead.

Are those your words ? if so, and you don't like Polish workers and milk, you can

If you don't like it, next time when you go to the polls, find yourself a party that wants to quit the EU and vote for them.

simple? you .....dumpling.

News / 2011 Netherlands discuss Polish deportation plan [118]

I said before that they don't particularly target Poles at the moment but Bulgarians and Rumanians,

I wasn't talking to you and I don't give a squad what you said, your politician is a more reliable source.

You obviously don't know what you are talking about :D. The pot calling the kettle black?

No, Mr Intelligence of the week, you don't know what you are talking about, you should pay more attention what people are saying.
I did not comment on milk business in N, only responded to:

German, Belgian and Dutch farmers are in a squeeze because of the flooding of milk by farmers from across the former Iron Curtain.

I will make it simple for you to comprehend:
- milk imported to N benefits importers - more often then not them being Dutch, German or Belgian.
- farmers from across former IC are not to blame as your words suggested.
- additionally farmers in Poland are receiving 1/3 of funding received by farmers across former IC to the west.
When I listen to people like you, I think sometimes that you should be nuked.
You are so damn dumb. (sorry mods, I can explain if you wish, but the feeling is genuine, not used with intend to insult).

History / Polish flag over the Reichstag first? [399]

Makes me sad to think of all the millions of lost lives that (probably) could've been saved.

Oh no! The fist victim in the war would be France then......
once again Hitler did not wanted to destroy Poland, she got such a treatment later because refused his proposition of alliance.

News / 2011 Netherlands discuss Polish deportation plan [118]

Bankers need to be hung up by the goolies from the nearest lamppost, they are the true leeches of the state.

And government which let it happened.
ody is lone isl

In short, the Netherlands should have a right to boot out who ever the heck it feels like

Not if somebody was working and paying tax there. Either they should stop tax immigrant workers, at last partially, or else they should have right to benefits after ample time spend working there, sure misfits they can deport. Why they talk only about Poles? No other foreigners in N?

it's the other way round. German, Belgian and Dutch farmers are in a squeeze because of the flooding of milk by farmers from across the former Iron Curtain.

wrong stu ....milk could be cheaper because of middlemen practices often Dutch, German or Belgian, they paid peanuts to farmers from Poland for milk and they sold the same milk in those country's.

Some say that you are intelligent man, I don't see that. You should address those firms who benefited - and it wasn't polish firm, and not polish farmers.

Plus western farmers had been receiving benefits from their governments/EU, polish farmer only since 2004 and 1/3 of the pie given to western farmers. So, why don't you wise up Mr intelligence !

We are in the EU ... Poland as well ... like it or not. Open markets. If you don't like it, next time when you go to the polls, find yourself a party that wants to quit the EU and vote for them. But I guess that'll be a hell of a problem ... ;)

Sure, the same can be said to address your words, exactly the same!

he is just one of hundreds on my Island that has gone down this road...So dont think I give I fook about some Polish farmers

Well, I think it depends what kind of person you are, if you are wise and understands the world around you, by all means you should give a fook and feel for them the same way you feel about farmers on your Island.

As is traditional, I will now ask you to go into detail about what more British could have done to fulfil her obligations under the Anglo-Polish treaty.

It is immaterial, I'm talking about pretext they used for benefit of British public opinion.

Yes, it was actually British special forces which attacked the Gliwice radio transmitter and then blamed it on the Germans (who in turn blamed it on the Poles).

Eh? Maybe I should have worded it better, but you are intelligent guy, I'm sure you get a gist of what I meant.
