News / Smoking ban in Polish bars and restaurants (AT LAST!) [400]

I cant breath around it literally, second hand smoke is horrible
and now that I can smell again, when someone walks by me that has smoked, its very
irritating and they smell like ashtrays..

Secondhand smoke is different than someone merely smelling like smoke.
I feel the same way about peeps' BO and most chick perfume. Shall we ban these from all indoor places too?

perhaps you should read a bit about Poland

I don't see where it says anything about squirrels in P-Land.

But again, much like the gun debate, the smoking ban advocates do not want reasonable argument and counter argument. The last thing they want is rational discussion and debate. They have intentionally distorted the conversation by upping the emotion and their canned talking points. This dishonesty is by design, engineered to skew the debate in their favor.

This is the common Lib tact anymore in any number of topics. It is why Libism is so utterly dishonest at it's very core and most Libs are nothing more than liars or dupes.

Why don't people take into account the ripple effects?

Because they're brainwashed into thinking all the regulation is somehow good for them and society. Anything can be made to sound reasonable and justified (think: Hitler) Just look at some of the folks here who are defending the smoking ban. They don't even realise the bigger picture of their freedoms being eroded; they've just heard the lame justifications and only consider how the ban will benefit them. Just wait to hear how these same peeps squawk when it is something dear to them that gets regulated away.

As you can imagine, this has not made the owners of places under 100m happy: they know that people will simply go to the places where smoking is allowed.

Yep. Nannying over regulation always creates winners and losers.

Who'd bother hunting squirrels.

No me but some do.

There are no wild rabbits in Poland.

Really? They're everywhere over here. Poland have squirrels?

Poles were catching fish for food, as is legal and natural in Poland.

A lot of wild fish in Poland streams? Fishing is a big sport like here? Or more just for food?

Life / Is parity the answer for Polish women? [262]

some strive to get to equality but many strive for going beyond that

Almost always.

Borat, one of the solutions for this problem.

Once food of the poor, as anybody could breed rabbits in any small backyard

Yeah, poor rural folk are pretty much the only ones who raise/ hunt to eat bunnies here. Same for other small game like squirrels, possum...

Swans are not food in Poland, to eat a swan is like eating a dog, or a cat.

...or a hamster or a bunny rabbit!

Otherwise they were just naive brainwashed females who

Easy prey for the Lib rabble-rousers. All about emotion and never about reason...

Now that's real equality.

The women immediately dropped their ridiculous complaint.

Real, true, equality is never what mouthy minorities really want. Ever. They want special equality.
Such hypocrites should be ignored, dismissed and maybe charged with extortion or intimidation to bring a stop to this crap once and for all.

News / U.S. role in Poland is shrinking [82]

You said that it had some kind of benefit to Europe, and Poland in particular. It didn't.

Sure it did. My generalization of the shield was both accurate and sufficient. You're just parsing and hair splitting, as you often do.

Just about any social and economic statistic you pull out on that 'mess over there' as you refer to it, consisting of Nordic countries, Benelux, Switzerland and Germany shows these countries to be way ahead of USA.

We could also talk about Greece and France now... Euro is notoriously Lib to the point of being a runaway nannying socialist welfare state.

News / U.S. role in Poland is shrinking [82]

What does that make the top 3 Polish parties?

Well most all of Europe is notoriously more Libby than the US. Over there even their so-called "conservatives" are pretty Lib by our standards. That's why that place is such a mess.

shield wasn't for Poland but Poland suppose to be a shield.

The stated intent of the shield was to protect Europe from Iran. But folks most assume it was also to protect Poland and others from Russia. So Poland would have benefited from it. This is precisely why Russia opposed it so.

News / U.S. role in Poland is shrinking [82]

I remember when president Bill Clinton went with the official visit to Poland, Hilary visited only Jewish school in Warsaw. Not any Polish one. Years later, during George Bush presidency, his wife Laura visited Polish orphanage in Warsaw. So you may be up to something, trener.

I wonder when and where the Obamas will visit? Lol.

Right doesn't mean automatical pro-polish in the US.

I didn't mean to imply that it did, but evidence shows the Right is more pro-Poland than is our Left.

the american righties are very much pro-Israel, pro-Jewish and

This too. We're pro most folks. B)

hence alot of them took over some of the worst anti-polish prejudices from the Jews.

This is where you go off the tracks.

Both are pro Israel. Very much so. You can see the pandering come election time.

No, very much they are not. The Left may play the pander game come election time but Obama's policies toward Israel have been a stark reversal of our traditional stance and everyone has noticed. He is clearly pro-Pal and anti-Is... since he himself is a Muslim... and a Radical Leftist.

News / U.S. role in Poland is shrinking [82]

Things between Poland and the USA may change after this election, and we get a new congress, and after we rid ourselfs of this bad president we now have.

Very important point. It is the American Left which disregards Poland. Not the Right and not America in general.

As I said above, Bush gave you the missile shield... Obama took it away. Enough said.
