News / People says that EU bringing many nice things to Poland. Tell me about it [104]

What is so nice about EU and can`t be done without EU?

I guess some politicians think it's nice to get their countries indebted to the IMF, which will undoubtedly secure the power of the international corporates and banks, and the hold they will have over some countries. (If you can see where I'm going?)

lol look at Poland here:

Have you seen the corruption list? Wow! I mean, I knew we were corrupt already, but I didn't know we were more corrupt than Poland? I'm afraid terminology like economic freedom doesn't mean much to the average citizen though, since it's a term used to describe the current climate of business.

USA, Canada / Moved back from Canada to Poland:). Here are the reasons why. [868]

Think what we would do without our mobiles, internet or electricity :D

I would do just fine. I think a lot of people would be much happier without internet and mobile phones, and actually get in touch and interact with eachother, just like we did in our early teens. I still remember the first couple of cellphones in Holland, and how everybody thought it was ridiculous. (Cellphones existed before that, but of course average Joe couldn't afford such things back then.) Electricity would be cool to keep though.

relationships are overrated :)

Definitely.

We are in the macho crowd.

So is that a good or a bad thing for you? (Not quite sure what to make of it.)

yep, you guys can be seriously peed off about it

Oh, believe me, I am.

The problem though, is a good one. Dutch taxpayers are paying for it. It should be coming out of corporate income taxes, as companies see the biggest benefit (which of course in the end is a benefit to the employee, but it's too indirect).

You mean it benefits the cheap labour migrants, because we're basically financing our own unemployment.

Life / Any treatment centres for homos in Poland? [455]

- Do not insult or harass others, play nicely!

His post insults others, so don't be a hypocrite.

Come on AJ, why can't we all just get along?

Look in the mirror.

;)

It's not a disease, it's a reality of life which doesn't harm broader society.

Atleast someone has brains here.

Love / Broken Heart due to the mother of my Polish girlfriend [23]

That's true for many cultures, where the children are taught that family is important, even the men.

I'd say we are taught to grow up, and fast. I think most of us do value our families, siblings and close relatives, but we're usually not very fond of eachother's company. We need to love eachother from a distance. I think most of us (Including parents!) like our freedom and personal space, and we don't like rules. So, I'm afraid there aren't many mothers who are telling me I can't borrow their daughters for a few nights. (Slightly overexaggarated of course, but still!)

Love / Broken Heart due to the mother of my Polish girlfriend [23]

A number of years ago I happened to notice that the majority of my romantic relationships had been with girls who didn't have fathers, were children of divorce. It's not like I consciously sought such girls.

Me neither, but usually I feel more attraction towards the free-spirited.

I wonder what this say about me? :s

That you have surpressed Liberal tendencies?

;P

I should ask Natasa...

I hope she'll give you the same answer!

Sometimes these are the funnest ones! :D

Alright! To be honest, these are more my type of girls, because you already know I'm not exactly the pinnacle of conformism, etiquette, or political correctness for that matter. (Sometimes I really wish I was!)

Love / Broken Heart due to the mother of my Polish girlfriend [23]

Speak english well, i dont now but maybe dont fell this love like mee.if you love somebody you dont listen people around.

I think young women are more sensitive to what other people might think of them, or have to say than young men. We're often a bit blind, adventurous and reckless, where they're more practical, calculating and don't like to take risks that much.

It's better to find someone whose parents like you.

Or simply find a girl who doesn't like her parents that much, or a girl who simply doesn't care about what her parents want, because those girls exist too!

yes, i am... one good face slap can fix just anybody... hehe... ;)

I was thinking about slapping you somewhere else, but I don't know if you're flirtatious enough to handle any of that.

Thanks for sharing with the forum, AJ.. I love when people contribute such sensitive and private information.

Nothing sensitive or private about that.

maybe we do, at least I don't look at pûrno as some people do.

I watch pûrn sometimes. Keeps me creative in the bedroom.

I don't look for surveys about flirty men, but go out and see for myself what is out there.

That would probably be the logical thing to do if you're looking for some attention, or if you have some cash to spend.

:)

How many posts per day is that, 15 or so?

I just did a search for today only. 57 posts and still counting for today?

5 months (And a few days.) Say 150 days to keep it simple? So I have 2476 posts, which we're going to have to divide by 56 posts on a day like today, which means that over the course of 5 months or so, I've posted roughly 44 days. (Maybe even less.) Which probably means I don't post here every day. But if we're going to count this every day, it means I'm only posting a few messages a day, which means I don't spend *that* much time here.

;)

And that`s not counting your other internet activity.

I have no other internet activities aside from studying. I don't post anywhere else, and you can easily verify this if you happen to have my e-mail address. So what's your point? Does it bother you that I find such articles bullshit? (Because they are!) I'm not the only person here who shares that opinion either. So what now? More research?

:)

You don't even live in Poland, dutchie.

In North Holland alone, we have about 80.000 Polish people. Just so you know, Polskie, I would've said the exact same thing if this was a survey about Dutch women being the world's second flirtatious. It's bullshit. People differ. In every country. It's not just what women do, but also what men do.

You spend most of your free time online like aphrodisiac - maybe the 2 of you can date ... online;)

Do you know what Bolle means in Dutch? (No lie!) It means Fatso. But seriously, I don't spend as much time here as you seem to think.

But younger women, say from 18-35ish, do smile and flirt - especially when in the company of foreign men.

Lucky me.

Both of which are far too simplistic and actually, a bit insulting.

True, but then again there are also people who prefer less bullshit, and if they don't feel like smiling at everyone all day long, then they just don't. That's also very simple, and of course this also doesn't always mean that these people are manic-depressive or anti-social either. (Which is also a bit insulting.)

Love / Broken Heart due to the mother of my Polish girlfriend [23]

I hope that God will help me.

I'm afraid you'll have to help yourself my man.

I wait to tell your views.

If she doesn't want you because of financial reasons or language barriers, then you really should forget about her. There are more nice girls out there, so my advice would be: Don't put her on a pedestal, and don't make her any more special than she really is. She's just another girl who's thinking about her future, trying to survive. You really like her. I get that. But still, she's just another girl.

;)

Why don't you go to night classes after work and learn the language?

Good question.

Life / Legal Graffiti Walls in Poland? [45]

:)

Somewhere in Poland.

:)

Ditto. (Does anyone recognize the spots, or the style of this artist?) Hey, legal or not, I don't mind some real expression and thought-provoking images on all that dull concrete, if it's really done with love. (But it should never be done on private property, unless you have the explicit approval of the owner!)

Life / Poland's Next Top Model (TV show) [73]

I agree.

Hear that, girls?? (Huh, huh?!)

Me too.

I saw her first!

;P

Wonder what she would look like bald ? lol

Bald? Really? No way! You mean with tattoos and piercings everywhere? Hmm.. Now that you've mentioned it, she does look a little like Sinead O'Connor, doesn't she? (Must be the black and white!) No. Just no.

Life / Poland's Next Top Model (TV show) [73]

The show is a farce.

That's probably why it's called a show.

;)

Yep ! she was herself and not one of the "yes " girls. Hence the big I ams didn,t like her and sent her packing.

Well, if she ever become homeless, I'm available! (But the black hair really has to go!)

she screamed and shouted when they cut it. the style worked very well for her in one photo though.

She did? Well, she should've brought a Katana with her to give the hairdresser a new cut!!

Emilia came across as a fun, serious person, with personality.

Ah, I'm afraid this explains everything.

Love / Fell in love; I need to go back to Poland for 2 months - what to say at work (UK) [50]

I know you guys have met eachother a couple of times already, but this is the best advice so far. I'm sure you'll be able to arrange something, and if this guy really loves you and cares about you, then he should care about your future too, and he shouldn't mind waiting for you a little longer if necessary.

:)

Life / Poland's Next Top Model (TV show) [73]

This young lady has just left the show:

The haircut looks ridiculous, and the black colour (How many times do I have to say it?!) really doesn't look great on natural blondes. But she has a very pretty face, so why would anyone send her home?

:S

I prefer a naturally pretty, girl-next-door look over some exotic or glamorous model look. Little or no makeup is the way to go but not all chicks can pull it off.

Hmm.. It really seems we're able to agree about something! Okay, I would like to have a big mouth and an attitude on top of all that, and of course a sex-drive which could make me say: Amen. (Maybe praise the lord!)

;))

Queues in Poland - everyone in line is sandwiched

I thought Polish people were decent, but now you're trying to tell me they have gangbangs in the supermarket??

xD

I have a lame sense of humour sometimes, sorry.
