News / GERMANS WANT TO GERMANIZE KOPERNIK (COPERNICUS)! OUTRAGE! [1016]

Interesting that you think anybody who says anything about Poland which is not 100% positive must be Jewish.

Or German....or Russian....or Ukrainian...or...

Funny, you described your own behavior on this forum to a tee in your last couple of replies.

Oh really? Do we know each other? Did we share a beer already? Who are you? Just another polish arsehole?

Don't embarass yourself further...

Why don't you just hold your ears and trample with your feet?
A well used strategy for Poles if they don't like what they hear...

No wonder Hungary allied itself again and again with Germany....and they will do so again. We share the same fate!

Better drink another one with the crazy Crow...you fit well with each other!

I hope it stays here for everyone to read. For a long time...

PS: It would had been better for your "eternal friend" Hungary too...
No WWI, no Treaty, no destruction of the prussian and austrian Empires, no Poland, no losses for Hungary...
Another vodka for your serbian brothers?

One for the way!
"Eternal friendship" my ass..

News / GERMANS WANT TO GERMANIZE KOPERNIK (COPERNICUS)! OUTRAGE! [1016]

I don't feel like going through all this sh*it all over again.

Yeah...that's the reason I'm leaving PF.
Poles hate it if foreigners tell them the truth and dare to destroy all their nice little stories they tell themselves to make themselves look so nice and shiny....

One can throw facts and links and everything...it's to though...they just don't have the guts to admit anything!

Be glad the Germans exist so you always have a convenient enemy you can blame for all what ever will befall you! (Us or the Russians...or both)

I would like to point out that whatever crimes Poles might have commited
in the past (and I know we did) they are dwarfed by the monstrosity of German
atrocities and that, my friend, is a fact.

Poland IS dwarfed by Germany, period!

I hope it stays here for everyone to read. For a long time...

Yeah....about time one speaks out what so many non-Poles think!

Bye

PS: But please stop wondering why Europe or anybody else doesn't quite share this wonderful image Poles have from themselves...

Would, would, would.

No..I see that since I came to PF...it's never the saintly Poles who could do something wrong. You are always brave and of course always right.

It's always the b*astards around the poor, holy Poles who do everything wrong....(or they are far away countries)

That is no "would", but a fact.
You really should take a deep, long look at your own history again.
But maybe it is to much asked...

123 years of partitions, 6 million citizens murdered, cities razed
to the ground etc. etc. What the f*uck do you expect for that? A medal?

You know...if you would had stayed partitioned Europe would had been much better off, no war, no Hitler!
Nobody would had missed you!

Oh and for your "eternal friendship"...without your serbian "brothers" and their sparking of WW1 (from which the Poles profited so much) Hungary too would still held all his former territories and not grieve about lost lands.

So much for your "friendship". Alone this thought is mindboggling!

Yeah...you would find someone else to blame for all your warts!
Man, I so feel with Nathan now!
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Partition_of_Poland

With Poland unable to effectively defend itself, and with foreign troops already inside the country, the Polish parliament (Sejm) ratified the partition in 1773 during the Partition Sejm convened by the three powers.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Partition_of_Poland

...The second partition occurred in the aftermath of the War in Defense of the Constitution and the Targowica Confederation of 1792 and was carried out by the Russian Empire and the Kingdom of Prussia. It was ratified by the Polish parliament (Sejm) in 1793 (see the Grodno Sejm).

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Partition_of_Poland

...The partitioning powers, seeing the increasing unrest in the remaining Commonwealth, decided to solve the problem by erasing any independent Polish state from the map. On 24 October 1795 their representatives signed a treaty, dividing the remaining territories of the Commonwealth between their three countries.

Where was Prussia "the driving force"???
And you yourself ratified that...

Oh and you yourself said the Habsburg Empire wasn't that bad.
Well...it was the war they lost what made Poland independent again and what heaped Hitler to power in the end.
Nothing to do with Poland and the border conflicts of course (sarcasm).

Well....it is....now.

The town was founded as a defensive stronghold on an Old Prussian site. In 1224 at Catania, Emperor Frederick II declared Prussia directly subordinate to the church and Holy Roman Empire. Later in the same year the pope assigned Bishop William of Modena as the papal legate to Prussia. With the imperial Golden Bull of Rimini, the Teutonic Knights were granted control of the region, which they subsequently conquered. According to local legend, the Old Prussian inhabitants were baptised by Anselm of Meissen[citation needed], a priest of the Teutonic Knights and the first Bishop of the Bishopric of Warmia [...]

So what, does it make Dragon of Wawel to some German creature ?

No, because of that I would think:

The Wawel Dragon, is a famous dragon in Polish folklore.

Germans have their very own folklore...:)

And like in the case "Kopernik" nobody knows which language was used by dragons.

We know which languages Kopernikus used, latin and german.

Depends about which time frame you ask: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warmia

Warmia (Polish: Warmia, Latin: Varmia) or Erm(e)land (German: Ermland.ogg Ermland (helpĀ·info)) is a region between Pomerania and Masuria in northeastern Poland.

...
Warmia has been under the dominion of various states and peoples over the course of its history, most notably the Old Prussians, the Teutonic Knights, the Kingdom of Poland, and the Kingdom of Prussia. The history of the region is closely connected to that of the Archbishopric of Warmia (formerly, Duchy of Warmia).

/wiki/Warmians

...
Soon after arrival of the first dukes of the Polans in later Poland centuries of conquest attempts on the native Prussians began in 997 AD. The preferred method were attempts at christianizing the still heathen people, thereby conquering their land.

German since 1241

...After arriving to Kulmerland in 1230, the Teutonic Knights proceeded to conquer the pagan Prussians and convert them to Christianity. The Warmians, together with the Bartians and the Natangians, were conquered between 1238-1241.[3..

Then polish:

...
Poles settled in greater numbers after the Second Peace of Thorn (1466), and removed the Archbishopric of Warmia from the control of the Teutonic Knights and placed it under the sovereignty of the Crown of Poland as part of the province of Royal Prussia.

Thorn became polish 1466.
But the Koppernigh family settled already there, in a then german, hanseatic league town. They stayed.
Niklas was born there 1473.

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

Well I was only responding to your cocky answer on #170. Giving you a taste of your own medicine.

What was "cocky" in that post?

By the way NOBODY I know tells me any Polish jokes (or really any ethnic or racial jokes) because they know better.

Then what is your problem? Can't sleep either??? :)

But I can see the Nazi German is coming out of you.

Well...fit's somehow with your other ramblings.
All wild accusations, no substance!

You must love that "Schaudenfreude" which is the German word that means taking delight in negative things happening to other people.

See? And do you see me throwing a tantrum over you spouting an anti-german stereotype?

So...which denigrating stereotype you would rather have instead? ;)

Which begs the question why is a German like you on here all the time? I put up a message and within minutes you're responding to it and I haven't been in this forum in months

I can't sleep...:)

But there are different kinds of Polish jokes.

You say that because you are a Pole!
(Don't tell me you never laughed when other people were mocked and the victim of some stupid stereotype joke)
Get a grip and laugh at them and don't throw a tantrum every time that makes people only conscious of it and next time they will pester you purposely knowing how much they can hurt you with that.

Stop giving them this weapon and grow up!

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

Were are the many anti-german jokes as Germany was the main enemy in two world wars?

You should think logically here....the Nazis didn't invent the jokes, nor does Hollywood care enough to pester the world with it.
Every ethnie has to bear their stereotypes and the jokes coming with it.
Not everything in this world is centering around Poland! :)

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

Hollywood pushed the stereotype that Poles have subhuman intelligence in their movies.

Why should they do that?

How about that?
Since polish jokes are older than the Nazis...

...On September 5, 1901 son of Polish immigrants Leon Frank Czolgosz shot and killed U.S. President William McKinley. Movies were being made about this incident which brought about much anti-Polish sentiment and stereotypes. During this time also, Polish immigration from the dismantled Polish state was high due to racial discrimination and unemployment on traditionally Polish lands.[3] ...

or this

...Some of the most "provocative critique of previous scholarship on the subject"[6] has been made by British writer Christie Davies in The Mirth of Nations suggesting that "Polish jokes" did not originate in Nazi Germany, but a lot earlier, as an outgrowth of regional jokes rooted in "social class differences reaching back to the nineteenth century". According to Davies, American versions of Polish jokes are an unrelated "purely American phenomenon" and do not express the "historical Old World hatreds of the Germans for the Poles".[7]...

PS: I know about the horse-against-tanks-myth...and it is exactly that a myth or war time propaganda (as every side in this war was guilty of).

Nothing comparable to the enduring polish jokes from before the war and for long after the Nazis were history!

How do you explain how Germans loved laughing at German movies like the "Eternal Jew" or "The Jew Zeus" where Jews were portrayed as having "rat like" qualities?

Because they were Jews?
Were there no polish Jew-jokes?

Again...bring some evidence for your ramblings!

And if it was the Nazi-Germans how come the polish joke is kind of international?
Were the horrible Nazis so popular even in GB or the US that the polish jokes thrived even as the hated Nazi regime got fighted?

How logical..

Hollywood pushed the stereotype that Poles have subhuman intelligence in their movies

Yeah...and Hollywood is so german Nazi! :)

The racist stereotype that Poles are intellectually inferior or have subhuman intelligence, originated from Nazi German propaganda and Soviet propaganda.

Any link for that????
Any links for your long ramblings at all at all??? :):):)
Germany was at war with the "subhuman" Russians too..where are the famous russian jokes?

The origin of Polish jokes came from Nazi German propaganda.

Any link or evidence for that?

As far as I know there never was a movie called "The eternal Pole" or "Pole Zeus" etc.

History / Polish hatred towards Jews... [1290]

Now imagine today the bankers were all members of a specific group, it would not be hard to see how people could hate them.

They ARE all of a special greedy group...cousins to lawyers...if I had a daughter I would forbid her to marry one! :)
