At the end of the day it's the soldier on the ground using the weapons who wins the battle. My conclusion is that the best weapon in World War 2 was the squaddie, in the case of WW2 - the Allies.

Fighter planes: 1.German ME242(the first jet)...

Hmmm....revolutionary surely but not reliable enough and to few a numbers to really call them "the best" as they were still more or less in an experimental phase.

The workhorses of the Luftwaffe was the Bf 109 series...who drowned unheard numbers of enemy fighters year after year after year.
(Till Göring figuratively run out of pilots and machines)

Just look at these numbers:

Also the Stuka get's a nod from me, a flying terror of an anti-tank weapon if there was any.
One can see on the exploits by accomplished pilots like Rudel what this little flyer was able to achieve in skilled hands (he killed more enemy tanks than most tank crews and even managed a ship).

And that all with a Stuka (and later only one leg)...

The fact that the US made a rerun of the Treaty of Versailles impossible as both GB and France were equally broke played for sure an important part but it wasn't the money mainly.

Many countries profited from the Marshall plan after WWII. Great Britain and France for example got much, much more money but no "Wirtschaftswunder" for them...

The devastation of WWII didn't changed those basic facts....so the rebuilding had a good foundation already!

The position of Germany at the turn of the century was even higher than now. Germany was leading at all scientific, researching fronts...

They were targetted as ethnic Serbs and they were for the cleansing. Pretty much all the Serbs there, yes.

Well, the ethnic Serbs weren't so innocent either, weren't they...how many people did they kill because they weren't Serbs???

Genocide is when etremely large numbers of mainly civilians over a longer period of time are being killed based on ethnic grounds.

The ethnic cleansing of Bosniaks could be regarded as genocide, however, it is not exactly known how many ppl actually died during those cleansings. With genocide one talks about 100.000's or even million ppl perishing.

Over a million german civilians perished during the forced ethnic cleansing after WWII.
They died because they were Germans...that would be a genocide after MG's definition!

He tried to kill everybody who was able for an independent thought - because that could mean a potential enemy. That man was crazy paranoid!

The murder in Katyn didn't happen so much because those officers were polish but because those men were part of the polish elite!
That would be class-genocide as compared to race-genocide as the Holocaust...

That is a sick question, really! But in the end (in the long run) it is worse when you take the brightest heads of a people...that loss is much harder to overcome and is felt for generations!
