Getting beat up just for looking at a woman? There must be more to it than that. The state department warns Americans to keep a low profile while out in public overseas. Of course, everyone could have been drunk, which would explain the whole thing. Just a typical, drunken bar fight. Everyone is lucky no one is seriously injured.

Everything I need to know about Chhristianity is in the New Testament. I have read Roman and Jewish historians, too. If people are ignorant about whhat is in the New Testament, I attempt to educate them. Sometimes, Christians do not know what it says which is disturbing.

The Romans were brutal rulers taking hostage various locations so they could take treasures and resources back to Rome. They crucified anyone who was not a Roman citizen. Christians were upset when Jesus was crucified so the followers went to Rome causing trouble so the Roman rulers started despising Christians. The Church is one of the most multicultural institutions on earth.
Jesus tells us to forgive, pray for those who persecute you and turn the other cheek.

The Romans were not multicultural. They were invaders and rulers. If a Roman would have approached Jesus wanting to learn more, Jesus would have accepted him. Jesus was all about accepting people. Even unpopular people like brutal tax collectors. In times of strife New Testament is the authority on how to handle things.

Poland doesn't really need large scale immigration. The government could not deal with the influx. If Poland became an economic powerhouse, it would be in a better position to support more immigration. With all those people leaving Poland, why would many people want to move there?

For sure. Michael was portrayed as the unkempt, lazy student emasculated by his wife, constantly berated by his father inlaw. He had some good spots when he pointed out what a doofus Archie was being. He had a strong social justice streak but other times he was cavemannish.

Some people might object to the way the Polish character was portrayed. Due to the fact one of the main characters was Polish, Polish slurs outnumbered most others. The only rival was Edith, but she was mocked due to gender, not ethnicity.

The most insulting show of all time was All In The Family. Did that premiere on NBC?
That character was an insult to Russians imo. But then again there was an ugly American political prick in it as well with the last name Anheuser. That could be taken as a slur against beer.

Do not blame Apple for China's slave labor problem! It's up to the Chinese government to protect Chinese people, not some overseas corporation.
Personally, I think this Goldman guy should have used Saudi Arabia as an example. That would really put things in perspective because most people associate Saudis with vaults full of gold from all those oil revenues. To have more money than that is spectacular, indeed!

That's just an intrinsic part of western religions. Catholics believe those without baptism are heathens who will be condemned to the firey, worm ridden, bowels of hell. Muslims believe they are the ones and all else are the infidels. Jews will not be left out of this manner of believing.

Good point! Salt can mean so many things. I think 'sodium' when I see 'salt' but it could mean any electrolyte.

I tried to use salt to get rid of weeds and a couple of tree stumps. I used salt pellets, the kind for softening water and the weeds grew thicker and stronger than ever! The stumps started growing branches with thick dark green leaves. It was like adding Epsom Salts to the friggin soil and I thought it would be a cheap solution to troublesome weeds!
