I think this girl is feeling like she was put in a situation she doesnt want to be in.
I mean ,they are friends, but hes letting her stay in the other * ROOM* she is thinking
ok, I can do this, he seems like hes going to be a gentleman, but of course, putting
your hand on someones knee is a direct advance, and I am sure she felt like he is
trying to take advantage of her.. when your not attracted to someone, you dont give them
the ok to touch you, so she is saying, hey get your dirty paws off me. or else.
but she is laughing cause she feels awkward so she is putting up with it till there is a way
out, you wait and see.. if you want to keep her as a friend popcorn, I would back off
and leave well enough alone. cause it sounds like a one sided relationship all in your
mind.

I disagree , all of these things were still happening, it just wasnt out in the open back then.
but alcohol, drugs and children born out of wedlock happened back then as it does now.
the only difference is that it was hush hush.
and illegiamite children were born all the time and i have plenty of genealogy records that
prove this.
I think there was more stress and expectations on the older generations not so much
the younger ones maybe thats why they are so much more wild, because nothing is expected
because now , they are not told what to be, but asked what they would like to be.
to be or not to be that is the question.. lol
I wouldnt blame modern life, because every new generation that is born is moving into
a more modern life then the last.

seanus, try some applecider vinagar in hot water in pan -put a towel over the top and
smell the hot steam.. that will open up the nose. :)

I guess its similar to it, there is a sauce on it, and the potato's are baked, but the sauce is
on them so they are not boiled and ahhhhhh you can saute the onion that might make
it less strong ( when it cooks it makes the whole house smell like onion) LOL
I know one of my friends ( she is polish decent too) her mom recently died she made
same thing but she used to put in slow cooker with potatoes and ribs and no sauce.
I guess there is variations of this?

add water or keep the pan moist..
my hubby made dry rub for ribs and I told him that will become solid and crust
and they will get hard and to add water or some type of moisture to the pan.
well, ha ha, he didnt listen and guess what? lol
never tell your wife she is wrong. lol

one of my moms recipes, and I love it, cooking it now, just a simple
recipe and its baked so its not fried and not bad for you.
slab of lean country ribs.
cut up some good size potato's
put in a large roaster pan.
cut up one large onion ( make sure you open windows) LOL
dash of pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and salt ( easy on the salt)
pour on the open pit barbaque sauce and throw in the oven..
about 2 hrs or so. check potatos for softness.
you can also add carrots to this, they work good too.
I usually make corn/green beans with this and nice salad
sometimes I throw some Keilbasa in with it, ( but first I wave it around in the street
so people know I am a American of Polish decent) :D lol
We usually mash the potatos on our plates and throw lots a butter ( yummmmmmmm)
and you can add more sauce as it is cooking so you have a really saucy rib
the potato's get a barbaque flavor to them and let me tell ya, no one will complain
about it,, and its not a hard dinner to cook!!

Life / Passing your Polish language and culture to your kids [74]
well maybe this was the case for families in America, my grandparents all three died so long
ago, I was mad because I never met them, it was unfair to me, because I only met
one grandmother the only thing I rememer from her is her holding me I think I was like
2 years old then her death when my mom was crying. no other memories.
why I remember this I dont know.
but if I could ask them, why didnt you tell my parents to teach me polish, I think the same
answer would have been given.. of course who knows.
but I know growing up, just because my last name had a ski on the end of it, thats all
kids needed to make fun, to say mean things and now as a adult you have other adults
telling you that you cant identify with your heritage..
I truely hope karma comes their way, I am praying for this.
And I believe it will..
Sadly, not everyone does this. I know many Polish families in England where the kids don't really speak Polish, and some Anglo families in Poland where the youngest kids don't speak what I see is acceptable English.

the country is avail, lots of natural resources that practically untouched , so you went to
buy a piece of property that makes you a martyr for the whole country?
when you build a orphanage and start feeding the whole country on your paycheck
come talk to us, otherwise fek off.

for genealogists in Poland, there prices are not cheap, its very costly, but it does go into the economy, which does help Poland so u can f off there.. my family and many familys still send Clothing and personal need items, because some familys are still not doing so well and
its the greedy business people who come over that want to pay cheap labor ( yeah like that helps them) and have people work for nothing, how is that helping? um yeah thought so

when you can say that you provided substantial jobs, that you have volunteered endless

disrespecting Poland and Polish Americans, saying they go overboard, and have no
right to celebrate their culture in another country basically, but this is America and people
are allowed to celebrate their culture and traditions.
and he is also saying those of us who are born Americans basically shouldnt even claim
Polish ancestry, even though he can claim his scottish ancestry ( with no beliefs in it mind

dumphia has every right to trace his ancestry and no one is going to make any
bad remarks that he cant because he lives in poland and has no connection to his
