He could have left those territories to Lithuania and have a friend instead of enemy. That would have benefited the whole region.

Or Lithuania should accept loss of the territories and being friendly instead of setting herself on grabbing the land that had about 3% of Lithuanian.
That would make even more sense !
Even better you could return Polish territories and you wouldn't have to deal with minorities, something which you evidently cannot handle

before that you were discriminating and were blissfully unaware that you are doing just that because you are simple, now that you know you should stop that detestable behaviour and comply with civilised rules or quit the EU and openly refuse to honour an agreement with Poland (from 1994).

I wish the Lithuanians were more pro-Polish :/

They have problems with their history books, I understand that all history books are biased in some ways but their books should be called fiction because thats what they are.

Other objections of ethnic Poles include alleged bias in the reclaiming of
property lost in the Soviet era,

In Lithuania property reclaimed 90% of owners (or their progeny )and only 15% Polish owners.

As if nowadays that slip of paper would be any help in getting employed. Practical skills or vocational education is more certain way of being employed or better still being self-employed.

We don't actually need more badly educated children who don't leave their village.

If you talking about government and such - I most certainly would agree that Poland doesn't needs those badly educated crooks with no integrity and little skill in the position in which they can harm the country.

No wonder they are desperate to reaming in power as they would have no hope of employment with their limited working experience. Although they would do well in the world oldest trade.

I think that your circle of friends is very misleading as to your understanding of Poles. They have indeed mastered dislike of rabble but without ingrained sense of responsibility and concern for such a rabble's well being and elevation.

I think that that selectivity comes from the fact that such people are indeed rabble and peasants themselves although education and money give them resemblance of class and respectability.

I blame soviet occupation the system created countless selectively educated operators.Their present and their influence as well as their offspring are the unfortunate feature of Poland's s landscape.

Are they ? I think that is a common misconception.I Would rather say that they do not care much about foreigners and they are used to have them about.

Other than that their attitude is no different than for example in Poland.

I think the government made the right move with this.

Oh really like Polish taxpayer is paying for programs on TV in their language and Ukrainian schools as well - should give back Poland's land and then I do not see a problem. But not before = their integration is problematic and I doubt that they will loyal to Poland.

Apparently 75% of local doctors were from Belarus and a fair chunk of the local teachers too.

the Government and all in and outs administration bodies should kick out redundant bureaucrats with shoddy or useless diplomas and pay a descent wages to teachers and doctors.

Should also invest in the areas depleted by years of the stupid and treacherous so called liberal policy to prompt the growth.

Still, a military alliance would have made plenty of sense, if it were not for Poland trying to show everyone what a big boy he is.

Listen I read a book on the subject - well documented book - the conclusion of 400 page dissociation was that Czechoslovakia didn't wanted any alliance with Poland for number of reasons, none of which had anything to do with alleged discrimination. CS had a plenty of discrimination going !

Also they supported terrorist organizations in Poland.
Yet Poland were looking military alliance with them, they declined - F them!

Threatening war against a much smaller neighbour is..well..

Such country as Lithuania full of dick-heads by all means - provided that during war with Soviets in 1920 they sided with Soviets against Poland.

I see you are an expert as to the ways diplomacy works, anyhow they didn't wanted to get involved with Poland - the case is close.

Another nation which would have made a good ally if only Poland hadn't preferred to threaten war against her instead.

The country which had to be threatened with war to exchange diplomatic representatives.

the II RP's diplomacy was shockingly bad.
