News / Poland ready to receive Libyan refugees [159]

Might want to talk to France and the UK as to why they were so gung-ho about going in.

Thanks, I'll pass that to some competent psychologist. ;) I am not about damaged egos and local problem solver.

Btw most eager I recall was US to go in there and start another mess.

Uk owes gaddafi some pay back for lockerbie ;)

Possible, but do you know how much the arab world ows to the west world to kick their assses? ;)

It is clear that most of them are from other parts of Africa.

Most of them were/are working on the oil fields etc. In Lybia are appr. 2 mio foreigners doing the durty jobs the locals do not have to do.

Like in most situations, if you started sth, like NATO attacking Lybia for as I recall 'humanitarian resons', what a joke, they have also to face the consequences, but usual they deny that and rather transfer that to others. They are just for the 'glory', not for the 'dirt'. Shows somehow the 'humane' motivation behind that aggression.

News / Poland ready to receive Libyan refugees [159]

You can better call that 'resolution' green light order for US to go in another war for pure self interest.

That so called 'humnitarian action' was based on lies and falsifications from the beginning.

Now that EU has to face possible trains of refugees, they are accusing one another and don't want to accept the consequences of their actions. Poor.

Mods, sorry for putting it here, but it seems that there is a conection to the topic, 'cause it raises the question of a 'false' war and as a consequence there are no 'refugees'. ;)

False pretense for war in Libya?

EVIDENCE IS now in that President Barack Obama grossly exaggerated the humanitarian threat to justify military action in Libya. The president claimed that intervention was necessary to prevent a "bloodbath'' in Benghazi, Libya's second-largest city and last rebel stronghold.

I hope you remember that when the rebels win with the west help and start their revenge...killing civilians!

But somehow I can't see western jets flying for the "wrong" kind of civilians then...

What did the author wanted to say? Anything or just babble as usual.

That war was under wrong circumstances from the start. The UN reslution is abused and since the UN is US protege it's logical. The amateurs from UK and F seem not to have that what it takes to 'win' this 'war'. Pure overestimation, like usual.

The lies and false arguments are more and more visible since the 'revolution' is stagnating. This may turn in another Irak, Afghanistan etc. for US/NATO, but that's nothing new. We know that Hau-ruck politics.

News / MORE ANTI-POLISH SENTIMENT IN GERMANY [280]

You do not understand German.

Who does? ;)

The topic at hand was a Polish comedian making fun of stereotypes. Nowhere there was any mention nor any connection to Jews in what shape or form. You are to be credited for bringing them in once more.

Stereotypes+Jews=Comedian, right? Legitimate topic...

Polish people having subhuman intelligence

That sort of stereotype can easily projected on any nation. Just look westwards. ;) I wouldn't be so picky on that.

News / Poland ready to receive Libyan refugees [159]

it's been confirmed that the planes in question (10 more needed on daily basis) are specifically U.S-built A-10 and AC-130 type designed for ground attack ops. I don't know if Polish air force has any of those...

Humanitarian actions...

NATO is a defense treaty.

Is any member country under attack???

Against whom? Poltergeist maybe?

You don`t see the difference between international law and european law.

As far as war situtations are concerned or how they call them nowadays 'humanitarian actions' started and covered by UN only what the US says is important. ;)

News / Pubs in Poznan kick out Roma? [256]

Never seen that

Go to the Oktoberfest in Munich. You'll be suprised. :)

Or that

Or anyone else, maybe? ;)

owners claimed that they 'enter in large groups, raise hell and make a mess.'

Ever seen UK "tourists" entering a bar in Spain? Go and see.

UK, Ireland / Poles top the UK's EU crime figures [78]

That article is just following the global politics of Cameron and his administration when it comes to foreigners. The more bad press, the better. Then his theory about multicultural theory might be right. UK fascho style. ;)

News / Poland leads nations in raising 90 million euros for Belarus opposition [73]

Gut feeling is that it's another Chechen attack, though.

Why that? Do you have personally any vital interest?

It's quite possible - Russian security has been so incredibly beefed up

Don't think so. They offer suport to catch the assasin and the ties with Belarous seem to me quite strong. Furthermore the Russian intelligence services seem to click quite well and they will not allow any kind of bs close to their borders, whatever the motivation of those distracters might be and from where the money keeps flowing.

UK, Ireland / Poles top the UK's EU crime figures [78]

Show me how many Brits on the Costas work in Spanish factories......

Unfortunately they are busy standing in some line or sitting around in their pubs. There is not much contact with the locals, just what is necessary and appropriate...

Many British Immigrants to Spain show disregard and contempt for the locals

That is to some degree correct.

Additionally they put pressure on local services such as education (loads of British kids in Spanish schools)and healthcare.

My estimation would be, if they are working in foreign countries then probably for Uk companies, 'cause the wages in f.e. Spain are significantly lower compared to rest of EU...what may lead to the conclusion that their numbers is not that high and therefore they are no threat for local labor market.

The shown statistic in that article is once more another argument to form a sort of ranking inside EU and actually confirm the prejudices rather than minimize them.

Rest of story plus stats table here.

Nice, nice Mr. Cameron or whoever from your administration. The multcultural society has failed, that's what you said and what is easier than bad news(propaganda)? Now they are on top 'all' criminals' and the locals are angels. That's called splitting.

Travel / Pics of Warsaw by the Guardian's David Levene [107]

some of the stories were fascinating.

Meaning sad, very sad? That would the be appropriate term. Homeless people everywhere on the planet are a sad sign where the society stands, especially when the number of younger ones rises.

For me Warsaw was always fascinating because of the strange mix of commy culture and old tradition. Western countries and their big cities don't have that kind of 'inner struggle' in the architecture or urbanism. That makes all eastern metropoles so interesting.

For the selection of this guy, that's subjective and propably also kind of 'demanded' by his editor. ;)

News / John Godson, born in Nigeria, might become Poland Sejm's first black deputy! [313]

I do not think that he "suffers" from that. That's in my opinion too big ammunition for his kind of problem.

Of course the placative statements always sound impressive, but maybe his problem has to do sth with self esteem/confidence, depression etc.. O.K. I am not a therapist but being judgemental doesn't help him anyway.

What is your story Mr. Eiskalt?

News / Samuel P. Huntington sees future of Poland outside of Slavic world [18]

Cultural America is under siege. And as the Soviet experience illustrates, ideology is a weak glue to hold together people otherwise lacking racial, ethnic, and cultural sources of community —— Who Are We? America's Great Debate, p. 12.

This is a quote I took from wiki. Looks like they still have no clue who they are. Bounty poeple? Those who didn't succeed in Europe?

What is his political background since he was under Carter administration?

News / MORE ANTI-POLISH SENTIMENT IN GERMANY [280]

Germans think sometimes that they are something better [than Poles].

Not only than Poles. That's part of German culture, at least of the minor educated ones. Unfortunately and unfortunately that the same group is still driven by the old prejudices for Poles.

Humour builds bridges and accelerates acceptance of each other and as far as I'm concerned, he's doing a great job.

I am not following 'comedian' since Germany isn't known for that. If he is really good, that he is an execption. For lauging Germans usually go in the basement...

There are some smart comedians in Germany who actually try that what you describe MG like Helge Schneider f.e., but his generation is slowly fading out, tired or just saturated.

I like the German portrayal of the British

Enlighten me pls? Sth new?

that Clarkson has upset them, the more Clarkson will do it

Now he more than an 'insider tip' and his show on TV which was actually not so bad, besides the part about cars. Boring to the bone. But like with any, we say Bauer, who is actually not stupid, he's using the media attention for his insults and gets even more attention by that. Narcism definetily and the need for conflict by provocation....at the end of the day he's just a little smarter islandmonkey. ;)

History / What nation do Poles feel closer to? [74]

From my experience I would say slavic people and slavic/catholics.

Well the baltic coast feels near the other coast countries and Scandinavia I think...

Don't listen to fascho's bs. He was 45 years behind bars. ;)

Bavarians to ITALY
Northwestern region close to SCANDINAVIA. Dutch is because of historical reasons for them not an option.

Western Germany to France and Belgium and Luxemburg.

Saarland was a historical argue spot. They are since a longer time German again, but who knows...

East Germany has 45 years of communism so maybe the closeness for them to others is based on that. For the northeastern part I would say Baltics and Scandinavia.

News / POLES FEEL LIKE JEWS HAVE TOO MUCH CONTROL IN POLAND - TRUE? [209]

It isn't. Just fantasies by racists.

In my opinion it does not have to do anything with racism. Jews were always powerful and they are gaining that gound back. That's simple. They are a very strong and influencial community and simply use their skills and connections. Nothing bad about that.

Germanic soul. It is more logical, practical, rational

=boring, as for female, maybe?

Anyway contact with slavic soul is always refreshing maybe it is our destiny.

Some sort of spice of life maybe?;)

I'm just not used to that German music all, and I've listened to a lot of German music.

? That does not go well together.
Maybe this particular guy is unknown for you. He was/is quite famous in Germany, more for music and lyrics than his singing. ;)

German with emotions has to be gay ;)

You mean Bratwurst Boy?
