They both mean literally" to go around something" but the latter is commonly used for colloquial "to care about something" ie. Nic mnie to nie obchodzi means I don't care about that.

Also "obejść" is a one-time action while "obchodzić" is frequent and/or continous.

You think wrong. I see no reason for "Polszczyzna" couldn't be used in a standard, ordinary conversation between Poles. Example :

Exactly!!! We chose to fight REGARDLESS of the so called West. We didn't need West then and we dont need West now. Remember that it was Russians who won and ended the war. Not USA, not UK and not France. The presence of our allies WE HAVE CHOSEN didn't matter to Poland at all. It doesn't matter now. Yes declensed form of "rachunek" in instrumental case seems to include the "about" Sophaloaf is asking... well... about :) You could translate "The woman is worried about the bill" quite literally into "Kobieta martwi się o rachunek" though.
