UK, Ireland / A collection of noimmigration's threads or "STAY AWAY from BRITAIN" [978]

There are already restrictions on non eu immigrants, not to mention a points based system being introduced next year. The gvernment has also banned unskilled immigration from outside the eu.

Now that made me laugh, because we have more and more coming from Afrian countries than ever before...people who overstay their visas, people who come to visit relatives who never go back lots of Brazillians on dodgy study visas and here is the best...when someone gets a knockback from the gov for their asylum status in the country - their benefits are withdrawn and their housing is taken away - they are not deported, so these people go underground, work illegally, probably more prone to committing crime etc., you see, whilst you have a point that there has to be a balance of how many people can come and settle in this country, maybe you should focus on those that have no right to be here......because you can be damn sure that you wont see some polish girl with 5 kids all under the age of 5 unlike Asians / Afrians ...nuf said!

People keep on focusing on the Poles - but what about the Africans that seem to be coming here by the boat load with less chance of returning to their countries and more chance of coming here with aids and thats not an ignorant statement, thats a fact.

UK, Ireland / What do Polish people think about Wales and Welsh people? [191]

They're all great ppl, and the accent is awesome;)

That must be a polish thing, the welsh accent is nearly as bad as the Birmingham accent and probably on par with a Bristol accent...

welsh are a wonderful bunch despite being unable to accept that they are just another english county

Who like sheep a little bit too much :)

News / 10,000 ISRAELIS READY TO CLAIM FOR POLISH CITIZENSHIP AND POLISH LAND! [628]

What I meant was that according to Jewish religious law a person whose mother was Jewish is considered a Jew

She married out and most likely decided to turn her back on the Jewish faith, her son was baptised and raised in the Catholic faith - so whilst his mother may have been born into a Jewish family she gave up practicing, married out of the faith and brought her son up not as a Jew but as a catholic, so her son was not a Jew. Not that it matters, his life time experiences and his mothers views obviously came in useful in later life.

Why should I bothered, you seem to know more about English history, but I am assuming that you are going back a few years when we had established trading ports around the world - is this what you consider bleeding a country?

A good chunk of the wealth your country generates is got off exploiting resources abroad

What would that be? Im interested to know?

We should boot them out

What about the 1,000s of africans (with aids) and asylum seekers that are bleeding the country and have absolutly nothing in common with us culturally? Im not denying that this isnt a problems with the numbers of people entering the UK from A8 countries, but you seem to forget about the ones who dont really have a right to be here... and tend to take all and give nothing....

What about the Bulgarian that came to the uk and made out he was from montenegro(soz about spelling), and was an asylum seeker said he and his family paid to get in the UK..... and they got payouts of £18,000 in 6 months, not bad aye - he also got 8 months in prison and his family deported......message to all who are thinking about doing that Manchester is not putting up with :)

Now, what the net result of such a deportation would be in Poland, i can only guess, but i sure as hell hope that it would be protests and riots until wages and salaries were more commensurate with corporate profit.

So why doesnt this happen now?

USA, Canada / What do Polish people think of the USA [287]

have trouble because their competition will work for less than the TAXES the employer would have to pay for a legal citizen

So wont it be a good thing if Mexicans can be legal and pay their tax? Surely a competitive work market is a good thing, at least thats what we are being told all the time since we opened up our doors to those who entered into the EU a few years back !

allow Mexicans to enter the US without visas, essentially destroying the workforce economy

The top five drains on the UK by ethnic group are; Somalia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Iran.

We know this, these figures have been set out for all to see many many times....What we should do it offer no assitance and whatsoever and most of the Somalis, Turkish, Kurds, Bangladeshis, Pakis etc are all here claiming asylum.....can you get me the figures for the following

Czech
Slovakia
Hungarian

Lets see how they compare with the Polish, that might give it a bit of an even slant...Because I dont know any Spanish or Italians or French or Germans that live in the UK that are claiming.....or live in social housing or are claiming for kids back home ....

Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

Then again it's not the right time to buy a perfume , and actually that won't solve the problem, I don't want him to be covered by perfume, I want him to shower everyday!!!

I meant some shower gell type stuff, not aftershave - but agreed it is a bit too soon to be buying him personal things like that - its a bit of a no brainer because he might just be one of those people who doesnt really care about his appearance - if you really like him as you say, stick with it and in time you can tell him he's a bit of a stinker :)

I do remember my bf having a pair of jeans that were horrible

Hmm I know where you are coming from my b/f brought a pair of white jeans up one weekend - I offered to iron then and accidently got a rather large black mark on them, they havent seen the light of day again!

Buy him some nice smelly stuff, thats about the biggest hint you can give

Failing the above, tell him you have a shower fettish and love doing it in there - that should solve the problem :)

as for the clothes aspect - say "hey lets go shopping" and guide him towards the mens stores - and pic up things you think will suit him :)

Food / Mother of all hangovers....Polish Beer! [71]

Why does Polish beer give you the worst hangover imaginable and leaves a very bad chemical taste in the mouth? A friend told me it's because Poland is the only European country to add raw alcohol to the process, does anyone know if that is actually true

personally I find that you get less of a handover since there is less rubbish added to the beer...

Almost everyone in the world is an immigrant, including the British; the UK has been repeatedly settled by immigrants including the Romans, the Celtics, the Saxons and the Jutes.

You forgot the Irish, which would be a little bit more recent :) You do remember the potato famine?

Screw them and their big UFO-like heads.

We have big head to fit our big brains in :) - you love us really doggie :)

Great Britain got more than its pound of flesh from New Zealand

Before the annexation of New Zealand, British citizens were arriving in large numbers, settling in a country which by all accounts was a no man’s land. There was no law and order, and as time went by Great Britain recognized that there was a need to control its people who were settling in this country. A form of formal sovereignty was necessary to overview the British populated areas of New Zealand.

The use of Imperial Troops to achieve this however, was never considered an option. Instead, the preparation of a Treaty with Māori was planned, by which it could be stated that New Zealand had become a member of the British Empire of her own accord. The British promised equal rights for both Māori and British, promising also to honour Māori ownership of land, including Māori fishing rights.

So Liza unlesss you are part Maori, you are just another 3rd / 4th generation immigrant

UK, Ireland / What do you hate about England and English people? [142]

I would agree with the call centres in Indian but having worked in a UK based one i feel no shame in saying i have ..

I have no problem with call centres in the UK Im always satisfied with the customer service provided, unlike that offered by our colonial cousins!

Are you still current? If so, then you may be working with my brother.

No, went back in house didnt fancy travelling to Birmingham from Manchester everyday (Crewe for 3 months was enough!)

any explanation why they offer the leaves on the line excuse for an underground line

Light rail goes overground, I can only offer the explaination that these trains cover the tracks underground with mulch when they travel underground.

Or state staff shortages when its a safety concern?

Ask the TOCs they're the ones who employ the staff who man the trains
