Law / Polish visa expert? Japanes moving to Poland to study Polish. [43]

It works I've done it 3 times before getting my Karta Pobytu.

Well! it all depends on the border guard,as Poland guards enforce it at there will and do discriminate if you are of Polish origin,or your attitude or whatever....no gurantees as I have seen both sides where people are fined and where people are let to slide through..anyway legal is 90/180 rule but germany, france,UK,and some other countries do enforce it.

Real Estate / Cousin stole my dads home in Poland... [49]

I don't think you deserve a thing.Anyway, if you want it back, then you need a very good Polish lawyer. It's going to cost you a lot of money and time, however

The location of the house is heart of Warsaw centre..I would fight tooth and nail for that money thats worth probably over 10/15 mil PLN...and as per court cases if he has the money I suggest fight and complicate the case as much as you can until the other party gets tired and tries to reach an settlement..which mostly they do including big companies and then settle!but worth fighting for and spending money on lawyers will be expensive but Hey it was suppose to be yours, get something atleast out of it.

(He mentioned house so my opinions was for house not for an apartment if he meant that, because apartment would not be worth it)

Law / Polish visa expert? Japanes moving to Poland to study Polish. [43]

Incidentally, they will issue a zameldowanie regardless of your actual residency status, as it's a piece of paper that confirms your address in Poland - not a paper that confirms your legal stay.

True!I have seen couple of my friends reprimanded on airport by the border control and some who were loud mouths fined 450 euros,if they didnt have it they were told not to come back or to come back with the money pay at any border control of any country as it was being fed in the SIS( schengen information system) computer, other than that I have not seen an American being deported or else. But again by law one cant stay over 90 days(mind you 90 days not 3 months as some has that myth as 3 months are 32 days sometimes also)

Infact immigration is very easy if you have proper paper work and guidance what is needed,in Poland I have seen immigration being a somewhat flexible also..depending on the persons attitude and nature.

News / What really happened at the Krakow restaurant? [53]

PennBoy
Do yu really think in this kind of situation and in court of law his comments will not be used against the restaurant?I read the reviews of that restaurant...most were good but some did complain about the staff.then again its my opinion who knows what really happened. Also my personal experience I have seen polish people in house some have a jewish picture and also in some businesses, when I asked if they were jewish the answer was a blunt NO! they just had the picture of a jewish man for luck to make money...wonder what that meant!

Real Estate / Poland's apartment prices continue to fall [1844]

I guess we will just continue to buy more property and increase our portfolio

Exactly PIP! one can never go wrong eventually(with very few exceptions) in buying property maybe you have to wait a couple of years for prices to come back if they go down but eventually one cant go wrong,I would never sell any until I need food on my table or have another project to fund or being offered a ridiculous price.

USA, Canada / Getting a VISA to USA by a Polish person nowadays [339]

Buy a house while working there? forget it. Investing in America would be a disaster if you get kicked out or had to leave at the end of your visa.

i have seen this happen to a russian pal of mine in Poland also so why just USA?He had a house,Very successfull business, cars was not allowed to come back to Poland cuz he got confused by the dates to renew his card and was deported on the border from ukraine and cannot now come back to EU for 5 years.

USA, Canada / Getting a VISA to USA by a Polish person nowadays [339]

FUZZYWICKETS
Honestly with my heart I think consulars are very trained professionals(except few they had who would get chicks wash his cars in bikinis & more, but they have been let go)they go through training to screen people who to let in,Then again they humans also and do errors.

I think Brazil makes its point that visa fees for americans is only cuz they have fees for brazilians(I think its brazil or COSTA RICA not sure).

The policy is working....I am not sure but im sure its weeding out some bad elements as we have enough of them here.Look what happened in Uk all street mafiosis went to UK and creating problems there so I think using screening process is good.If one is clean and have clean intentions with no criminal record why should he worry?

USA, Canada / Getting a VISA to USA by a Polish person nowadays [339]

So many Poles on this forum insist that Poles no longer have any interest in going to the USA now, that they're way better off going to another EU country for work and travel, cheaper flights, that the US economy isn't what it used to be, on and on.....so why be concerned about it? 90% of them get travel visas anyhow.

THE 10% (I dont know the figure) who dont get it either are criminals or have been deported or already overstayed there visit before. One thing FUZZY I tell you that money for immigrants is still in USA like doing const jobs, gas station household work etc.Anyway these are the kind of most people want to go to USA,professional ones already have legal channels to begin with.

A pal of mine a consular in embassy told me she meets 35 people a day both genuine and immigrants to be and can almost judge by talking to them in 10 minutes, where as the wanna be immigrants dont realise there is a professional behind the bullet proof door and come out with lame excuses.
