Bus Route  175 ul. Żwirki i Wigury (Novotel Warsaw Airport) - ul. Raszyńska - pl. Zawiszy (Hotel Sobieski) - Al. Not that hard to get rid of my mate gets them occassionally in her apartment in Spain, there are special powders that you put down - but you have to scrub the place clean before you do it...

This thread has made me crawl, I have nothing but sympathy for your friend, my advice is get the pheck out of there and find another apartment, when chosing, find somewhere with hard floors throughout, no carpets and check in all the cupboards to see if they are clean (no tell tale signs of droppings of any kind)..
