Being as the wSS never wore insignia on their camo

Got any more rubbish you wish to share with us?

The m43 was the grey tunic and trousers

As well as m43 Ostfront marsh camo which is what this is.

lol, your evidence is a reenactor and some repro "ss" uniform.....where the insignia is clearly not even attached to the 44 patt camo tunic, clearly a different style of jacket to the smock in the origional photo.

Note to sok, must try harder,or admit that isthatu2 is a bigger nerd when it comes to ww2 uniforms :)

As well as m43 Ostfront marsh camo which is what this is.

nope, thats one of the early patterns, worn during invasion of Poland and france, but disgarded by the invasion of greece,so never seen on the ost front....I think i actually know the guy in that colour photo mate so.........

There is a simple way to spot army or ss camo....wSS camo always had dots in it,army camo never had dots in it.

At the end when the soldiers are walking out of an (bunker? Tunnel?)
Doesn't seem they were any insignias close to the throat hmm

Neither, marsh camo came in four different patterns but hey you're the big one on the uniforms you should know right?

As for the spares Ishtatu they got pin-up lighting bolts to go with camo.

They didn't receive any invites to post WWII events.

This is Seanus's last post on December 31st @23:11.

I wonder what his New Years resolution was?

Not true, we didn't lose the war, we were simply betrayed by the British who were lucky enough to be on a safe little island and not have two superpowers descend on them at once. Their betrayal and failure to enter Germany within three days as promised cost more than 6000000 lives. This is why 'constantine k' can now be added to the masses of smug, ignorant Brits (or possibly Americans) who have nothing better to say than asking pathetic rhetorical questions.

we were simply betrayed by the British

Could you perhaps go into detail with regard to how exactly Britain failed to meet her commitments to Poland? I ask this question often but for some reason not even a single Poles has ever managed to answer this very simple question.

Their betrayal and failure to enter Germany within three days as promised cost more than 6000000 lives.

The constant denial of simple facts is astonishing , but it is hard to admit that they were simply cowards.

The constant denial of simple facts is astonishing

Could you quote from the agreement in which Britain agreed to enter Germany within three days? No, you can not: because there was no such commitment.

Your constant lies are astounding.

they were simply cowards.

Yes, so cowardly that they fought a six-year long war rather than accept German peace offers which were basically "Let us do what we want in east and you can do whatever you want elsewhere". And so cowardly that more British airmen were lost helping the Warsaw Uprising than the total number of Poles who took part in the Battle of Britain. Funny how Polish liars like you always overlook that fact.

I don't understand why some Poles here are still complaining about the Brits and French. Be grateful that they declared war on Germany, as they could as well have ignored Poland and her fate. You guys would speak German and Russian without the UK and France.

Hardly! The Russians and the Americans did a lot of the hard work. France allowed Germany to get strategic placements for their U-boats due to their weakness. Britain's main success was defending its shores, thanks in no part to Polish and Canadian pilots as well as our own.

I don't understand why some Poles here are still complaining about the Brits and French.

Because it is easier to whine about non-existent betrayal by the British than it is to accept that what happened to Poland was in fact entirely due to the stupidity and arrogance displayed by Poland during the interbellum.

That's not what I meant, Seanus. Without Britain and France declaring war on the German Empire, there wouldn't have been a WW2 and the Germans and Russians simply would've wiped Poland off the map once and for all.

I think there is a point in that. Stalin and Hitler had similar aspirations in deviding Europe for their purposes.

May 21st 1942 Stalin to Molotov, "The Borders of the USSR will be decided by force no matter what".
ie,get the fcuk over it,no way was the world going to war against Soviet Russia in 1945,especially as you already had a Polish government in Lublin.

If Britain hadn't stayed in the war, in 1941 Germany would have had more troops and resources for the invasion of the USSR, the USA wouldn't have got involved and so the USSR would have had even less in the way of material, plus Germany would have been able to launch its invasion of the USSR earlier than it did and so would have been at the very least at the very gates of Moscow when winter arrived in 1941. Plus the German war industry wouldn't have been bombed to buggery by the RAF and USAAF. All of this would have meant that either the USSR would have agreed to peace (giving up Belarus, Ukraine and a good chunk of land round the Volga) or the war would have descended into a guerrilla war fought far from Poland.

All of that would have given Germany plenty of time to carry out the plans for Poles allegedly contained in Generalplan Ost.
good grief
4 May 2011 /  #359
bear in mind that if Britain had fallen, then the Germans may have been able to develop a bomb using heavy water from Norway

the Anglo Polish cracking of the enigma code also helped particularly as it tipped off the Russians about Kursk

the Germans having free access to North Africa would not have been so helpful as oil was not discovered in North Africa until after the war had ended

Really ? I disagree !

What do you agree on then, Ironside? I'm interested to hear your version of what would have happened with Poland if the Brits and French wouldn't have declared war on Germany.

And you can thank the British for you having the ability to disagree.

Exactly.
