Dzień dobry :)
My grand-grandmother was born in Lithuania in 1908. Since Lithuania wasn't independent at that time, and I'm aware of the major Polish influence on the country from the days of the Commonwealth, I wonder what kind of relations they had with the Polish ethnicity/language/culture? Could she see herself as a kind of Pole or had anything to do with Polish life? I think that many of the Lithuanians had Polish names at that time, as an example of how the Poles influenced Lithuania - is it true?
Dziękuję bardzo :)
