The Polish Blame Culture!

Hindsight, PP...20/20 hindsight is everything! *sighs*

The UK was equal with the US in beating the Nazis.

Oh pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaase!

The UK was Dunkirk...you came only back onto the continent holding desperatedly onto the tail of the US troops!
And D-Day was only possible and successfull because most of our troops and our best were busy fighting on the eastern Front. That means the Luftwaffe too...you don't seriously believe the UK would had had a chance against the german troops if they had been concentrated on your islands instead of the russian steppes, don't you!

You don't expect your Poles to accept injustice? But you do so from the Germans...We lost 1/4 of our territory and millions of people, whole towns...not to mention industry and fertile soil. It was a partition with many Germans now placed in new countries opressed and harassed!

You mean land like that of Poland's which Germany had invaded and stolen 100s of years earlier? So as with any colonists, expect that. I've no sympathy for any hate we get for our british colonialisation also

also...
We had many fewer troops in France to the Nazis, that's why were were defeated at Dunkirk. We defeated you in battle of Britain, and fought equally with the US at D-Day. We could have done more, but why waste millions of our troops? We had no reason for that. It's incredible how anytime a German looks at that situation, they fail to see Germany's millions of troops and our few hundred thousand only...

You even fight on a far away continent like South America for some british sheep...please refrain from blaming Germans wanting their towns back!

The Falklands is just ridiculous, I agree. But Germans wanting towns back, that they stole, however long ago, well I condone it no more than for example, those in N.Ireland wanting to hold on to towns in Ireland, just because their ancestors stole them hundreds of years ago.

We had many fewer troops in France to the Nazis, that's why were were defeated at Dunkirk.

You always had few troops than the Nazis, so what...you never faced the true might of the german war machine, you were molly-coddled by Hitler who till to the end nourished some fantasies of if not an alliance then at least an agreement with the Empire.

It's incredible how anytime a German looks at that situation, they fail to see Germany's millions of troops and our few hundred thousand only...

It's incredible how anytime a Brit looks at that situation how he can state he "won" anything...
The US and the Russians saved your arse, say thank you to them.

So to include you in "we won" is more than only a bit...erm....deceptive.

But Germans wanting towns back, that they stole,

*rolls eyes*

It wasn't about polish towns, it was about fully german towns...there were even plebiscites made by the League of Nations - people voted for Germany!

The Sudeten weren't even allowed to take part in the promised plebiscite by the new chzech overlords in the first place.
(Not that that interested anybody mind you)

Only if we had an army with the same numbers as yours, which we didn't at that time. It's about numbers, something many fail to see for some reason. Considering our numbers, we did well to fight equally with US to invade Germany. Always remember the Luftwaffe were beaten by the Brits in an equal fight. The only equal fight the two nations had in that war.

You always had few troops than the Nazis, so what...you never faced the true might of the german war machine, you were molly-coddled by Hitler who till to the end nourished some fantasies of if not an alliance then at least an agreement with the Empire.

We didn't have equal numbers, else you could have faced the full might of our War Machine. Anyway, it's well-known you guys have such hatred for us, nothing new. Hitler just respected us because we were Germans, yet I wouldn't even say anything positive about such a regime as the Nazis, don't know why people do this. Always should focus on all these negatives of such a regime, instead of bragging about a 'war machine' and huge troops numbers, etc

Equal fight??? You got to be kidding!
Our best weren't even there....look at this list what your pilots never had to face:

Imagine them turned on you, not on the Russians...

We beat Germany, one on one, in the battle of Britain, by air. So we saved our own arses. Please remember, we fought alone at that point, and beat you. And always remember after this point, yes we were not fighting alone, but Germany was never fighting alone either!! Again, disgusting in glamourising such a regime, in anyway. Should focus on its negatives I reckon

What nonsense, BB. We won the BoB and still emerged as a major power. We were vastly outnumbered but still whooped the Luftwaffe. Goering adopted the wrong strategy and it backfired.

Hitler let you go away, as before with Dunkirk!

Incredible, trying to find an excuse for your defeats. Just face it

Sorry, but, I don't know which game you were watching, but we did beat you one on one. Can't take it isn't it

What nonsense, BB. We won the BoB and still emerged as a major power.

You Scots gave yourself up to serve the English, Seanie. You emerged nowhere...but even the English lost their Great Empire after the war and became servants to the the US.

And no...you wouldn't had survived 6 month if all that what was busy on the Eastern Front were allowed to have a go at your islands! Be real!

But you weren't even a priority for Hitler, says alot, doesn't it...
Seanus  15 | 19666

BB, you were beaten even with the ratio being 2:1. Yes, the numbers were closer to being even into the 2nd half but your strategy was wholly flawed. Goering retreated with his tail between his legs.

A cheap shot, BB. The 1707 Union was as much about business as anything else. The fact is that the RAF was just too good for the Luftwaffe.

I know many great Germans though, so I always hate these argumentative conversations about the war. I've had more good experiences with them, and more bad experiences with the Polish. It's a real pity it drags on and on

But you weren't even a priority for Hitler, says alot, doesn't it...

It says, that he had the intelligence not to get into a long war with the British, a die-hard group of nations, and also had respect for our partial German heritage

Compare the pilots....how many german fliers are above hundred, two hundred and even three hundred victories - the first Brit in this list? Hmmm....19+5...not bad, but hardly equal fliers!

The fact is that the RAF was just too good for the Luftwaffe.

Oh boy...

It says, that he had the intelligence not to get into a long war with the British,

It was a stupid thing to do...taking GB seriously would had spared us much bragging by nowadays Brits (and Scots)
No illusion of "we beat 'em", "we won" would now be possible...

How are they servants to the US? Britain is no servant. The US acredits them with providing language and culture. There are more anglophiles in the US than Yankophiles in Britain. It's more like the US decides with Britain what they will do.

You had 'superior' pilots on paper and you still lost. You couldn't even grasp the Spitfire dive from above. Your guys had much more exp yet still got creamed.

How can anyone blame Britain for wiping out a good part of the Luftwaffe?

Personally I only speak in that way if I see similar repulsive attitudes from Germans. Otherwise I'm fair and see how much Germans suffered in those wars, etc. It's just human, we fight, it's natural. It's normal, it's human, to hate.

Both natural emotions in animals. Maybe we humans control that better. Or do we really?

Humans have a lot in common with Chimpanzees. Does this mean we should emulate them? There's something surrealistic and appalling about them. It's time to back away from Chimpanzee.

Actually, BB, English can be equally attributed to Greek and Latin as well. The English language has more than one prominent influence.

I'll bet you think you are funny. You are the only one.

Au contraire. I truly and genuinely feel sorry for you - nothing to add, only bytching about ppl whom you disagree with. A sad life you must have, so I feel sorry for you.

German pilots had a lot of victories in eastern front, I do not know what that means exactly but assumption might be the quality of aircraft and pilots on Russian front.

It means like with the whole war GB NEVER faced the true might of the german war machine.
They were coddled and more or less left to themselves - not quite smart by Hitler but then he had his own priorities.
Without the US and the Russians they would speak the language of their ancestors today! ;)

That's why some armchair warriors bragging about "we won" grates on my nerves....

The English language has more than one prominent influence.

Nope! They are our beloved cousins and they speak our language, more or less! ;)
*hugs random Brit*

And who cares who won WWII as the next football world cup is coming up! We can refight the BOB everytime there...ha!

defeated at Dunkirk

If Hitler didn't halt his troops out of fear for an attack on his flanks, he would have captured the entire British army and he could basically just swim over to the UK and take it with a walking stick. Dunkirk is one of the time that Britain was saved from utter defeat. BoB was a stupid idea in the first place. If Hitler wanted to win the war, he should have shipped his men for Britain straightaway and would have occupied the island. At the time he was strong enough to do so and with the British army POW, there would hardly any resistance. This doesn't mean he might have won the war, but he for sure would've prolonged it for an indefinitive time. The US would have joined the war anyway because of Japan and Germany's alliance with that country, but where would the Americans be stationed? Ireland? Iceland? North Africa? It would've become quite troublesome.

It means like with the whole war GB NEVER faced the true might of the german war machine.

But the German army was far larger at that point in time. If we had developed a huge army like the Nazis had, then there would have been a more equal ground fight between UK and Germany. But again, you were the aggressors, we, the defenders. So, it just wasn't an equal fight at that time for many reasons, like it might have been.

If we had developed a huge army like the Nazis had, then there would have been a more equal ground fight between UK and Germany.

But you couldn't! You're to small for that.
Even so you needed the pathetical slaves from your colonies to help you out...

But again, you were the aggressors, we, the defenders.

Who forced you to declare war on Germany? Hitler never had real plans to invade the Islands (or he WOULD had turned the forces on you but he never did)

And not on the equally agressive Russians btw...they invaded Poland too after all....a Poland you had sworn to protect!
Which after the war ended up unfree and opressed by an british ally...what were you defending again?
