1920 Battle of Warsaw - English trailer and film

Well perhaps I am not missing out here in OZ.

A few guys said the same thing: 3d battle scenes were a sore (physical) for the eyes.

is it imposible to watch a 3D film without those funny glasses - I have seen a Russian 3D film in the ancient communist past - and seem to remember that without the glasses the picture was a bit blurry

Have you actually downloaded this thing? :) I would wait till its released in the cinemas, very little chance of dl a copy now, and if so only a screener.

I saw the trailer in 3-d and yes, it was terrible.

What specifically was so terrible about it?

Stupid 3d gimmicks, shoving a sword, fist, gun into the viewers face in every scene to emphasis the 3d effect. Classic sign of a **** film trying to use 3d to make up for it.

All my friends who saw it, told me it is a disappointment. Surprising because Jerzy Hoffman is a good director. But this is from hearsay. Anyway, I hate 3D :)

He is also an old director who probably wanted to make one last big hit+money spinner before he was out of the game for good. He might have taken a bit of a blase attitude to the whole thing without giving it the serious attention that it deserved. He probably thought "of course Warsaw 1920 , i can't believe nobody has made a movie about it yet! I'd better get there first before Wajda does"(:

perhaps he is merely pandering to modern tastes. Look at Pearl Harbor for example. A love story set amidst a battle is nothing new
but it seems to be essential in modern cinema
They even managed to stick a love scene in the middle of Ironclad ffs

keeping the battle scenes short cuts down further cuts down on expense

Seen it, i'm sad the movie got raped.

I hope that was a joke.

Horrible acting, silly plot, no fighting, cheesy dialogues...
