trying to find records of Wyrembek and Topa

After exhaustive research I found my grandfather came from Wach Poland during the time it was Wach Russia. I also found the correct spelling of my family name Wyrembek which can also be spelled Wyrebek from what I was told with the first E having a tail ę. MY grandfather was Wiktor Wyrembek and I know he had a brothers Jan and Franciszek perhaps more siblings. I also noted when family members arrived at Ellis island all but two has misspelled names, and those were the only two that could read and write. They all came to America in the early 1900's 1910, 1905, 1909. I am trying to find any records regarding them and any generations further back.

My grandmother was Rozalia Topa Wyrembek with a sister Anna Topa and a brother John, their father was Franciszek Topa. The Ellis island manifest said they also came from Wach but the only Topa's I could find close by were from Zareby , Baranowo and a couple other towns.

My goal is to find any more pertinent information regarding my grandparents birth or marriage and any other family members. They also had two children born in Poland, Charles and Mary ( not sure of the Polish spelling ) and perhaps there's records regarding them. I have checked the Baranowo parish records online, and found a couple references to the surnames, but none of the individuals I know of.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been at this on and off for 10 years and it took 5 to finally find the real family name.

Hi,

I'm affraid it will be hard, because all record books from this parish were burned during WWII :( The only years that survived are 1808-1837.

Greetings,
Barbara
