Best Pączki Recipe...???
Anyone have a great Pączki recipe? I'm trying to make some for a party Tuesday night and have tried recipes that end up too cakey or dry.
Thanks!

Good day,
I did do a "search," but for some reason, I can't get to the "link."
So, forgive the repeated request. But, does anyone have a good Pączki recipe? Or, can you provide a new link?
Thank you kindly,

With Fat Tuesday coming up, also known as Shrove Tuesday , the day to indulge before Lent begins ,it would be nice to get a good old fashioned Polish recepie. In Poland, this is known as Tłusty Cwartek. The whole Polonia in America celebrates this day just like our Polish ancestors.

I got it from a babcia herself!

Let me know what you think.

Without much further ado, here's a traditional recipe:

1 jigger (shot) of rum or spirytus (grain alcohol)
Juice of 1 lemon
Pinch of salt

Looks good i may give it a whirl at some point, i like doughnuts. Thats an usually large amount of egg yolk, but hey who am i to argue with babcias best. The golden oldies are usually the best.

Translating it was a pain though. These recipes often skip steps, leave out ingredients until almost done, and assume you've made the recipe over and over before. Some editing and stuff had to be done to actually make it usable by someone who is not a skilled babcia.
