I think it was Tyskie that I tried. And it was great. Though, usually I worship Lvivske beer "1715". But Eastern European beers in general are really good. Czech Pilsner and Slovak Golden Pheasant are to die for too :)
What's your favorite Polish beer?

Very nice drop of beer that one, there are a couple of places which have it here in Warsaw.
1715 is very good :) Ukrainian beer is excellent :)
Polish beer? I like many. Żubr was formerly my standard beer but Perła or Goolman are great value beers :)

Perła or Goolman are great value beers :)
Try the other brand from Perla: Zwierzyniec. It is cheaper than both and better too.
I've heard about it but have never seen it here.

A bigger Carrefour might well have it, the ones in Warsaw certainly do.
There are 2 Carrefours here. Maybe I just haven't looked closely enough.

Have a good close look, as well as being a cracking beer, it's ridiculously cheap: last time I looked it was 2.13zl a can!

Nice names of beers. My next purchases :)
2.13PLN? Nice! Double-hopped Okocim is 1PLN more expensive.

If you haven't tried it already and you like Perla, it's worth getting your hands on some of the new Perla unpasteurized. Personally I prefer the regular Perla but that's because the thing I like about Perla is that it's a nice clean crisp taste.
Also well worth having a look for and from the Perla brewery is Lubelski pils. 1.40zl per 330ml bottle makes it even cheaper than Zwierzyniec but it's a really bugger to find outside the Lubelski region.

A tasty and cheap beer is Tatra (jasne).
There is also a stronger version called Tatra Mocne.

I'm still looking for a location in California, where Perła is sold. So far, Lech beer is in my 1st place..
Czech Pilsner and Slovak Golden Pheasant are to die for too :)
YES! Both are indeed delicious!
I'll second that :) Budvar is close to being my favourite and I've tried many many beers around the world.
I'll give that beer Harry recommended a try :)

Maybe there is something wrong with my tastebuds but to me e.g. Lech, Tyskie & Zywiec all taste pretty much the same ?!
Nothing too much wrong with them mind you : )

budvar is very good, but my favorite Czech beer is Staropramen and Urquell. Mmmmmm. When I went to a massive Polish supermarket/megamart in Krakow, I went to the beer section and the Czech beer was almost all sold out, and many Polish brands were still completely full. One of the workers over there told me its very popular (Czech beer).
To be honest as an outsider looking in I have to say my most favourite POLish beer with the BEST after taste is Leżajsk! I’ve been enjoying this for many years and to be honest I have had all the major brands and I do like them. But for me there is something about POLish beer, and for me it is Leżajsk. I’ve been going to POLand for many a year now and this year was extra special one for me as a very good friend got me a tour of the Leżajsk brewery (private of course), they have no official tours. Was an amazing experience, as I have been to many different breweries. BUT this was extra special! Did you know Leżajsk is the ONLY brewery in the world to have its OWN water source on-site! YES! All the water comes directly from the well below it and is tested multiple times a day. One of/ if NOT the most expensive parts of brewing beer is water, regardless of where is comes from and how famous it is, water is the MAIN ingredient. Leżajsk has this on-site, no truck, unlimited, and fresh . Now being owned by Zywiec yes they do brew other beers but this was special for me. I have many a more memories of this brewery which I will not put on this forum but I have to say Leżajsk tastes SO MUCH better having the experiences I have had. Every time I open a Leżajsk, I know the history and exactly what is involved. BUT to be impartial I have to say the Czech beer has the best taste hands down of all Europe. The German’s are known for beer and so are the Belgian’s, but the Czech’s make a wicked beer! There is something about the taste that goes into their beer that makes such an experience of drinking it, unlike any other beer. With all this said, most people who haven have never been to POLand or have just HEARD of POLAnd think instantly vodka. AND to be honest there are some great vodkas out of POLand, even though I am not a huge vodka fan. BUT POLish beer is seriously under rated on a world scale. So next time you think of having a POLish beer, personally I recommend Leżajsk!!!

Lech Pils, if you ever find it, is well worth a try however. It's a cracking beer.

While in Warsaw in late June, my son and I had a bottle of "Kostrzyn Beer" which we both liked extremely well. We were informed that the beer was only available in the Warsaw area. T Schendel Is this beer available in the US?

it seems every paki shop up and down the land has Polish beers in the UK now
Why wouldn't they? They want to make profit and they know Poles go to their shops.
Just tried Żubr ciemnozłoty. Not bad at all.
