Not the same beer?
Harry

Not really, Zwierzyniecki is no longer brewed. It was only brewed for a few years last decade by Perła and only in Lublin. I've been to Zwierzyniec many times (and unlike Greg I was old enough drink then).

zwierzynieckie or zwierzyniec names used both version.
you just ignorant or cough lying again
even if full name is zwierzyniec..its perfectly normal and correct to call it zwierzynieckie in polish language.

I like beers from Browar Kormoran. Świeże, Rześkie, also very good Porter. They are maybe not some posh stuff for beer crazies but more like normal beer, just well made, not some chemical shyt "beer" most of large producers are selling.

Show me a beer that is brewed in Poland and has Zwierzynieckie on the label.

i was born and rise 10 miles from this place

Which is why you don't know what the cars there have on their registration plates.

Show me a beer that is brewed in Poland and has Zwierzynieckie on the label.

thats why i said...i wanst sure if is still being made.
"zwierzynieckie" was very popular and regarded as best beer in east south poland for very long..am talking about 70-80 ties.
it was very popular.
the one you posted" zwierzyniec" is some brewers, not regional, who tried to attach itself to its fame and used similar name..like naike,or adidass kinda trick.i dunno.as you said,it was made by some lublin brewery...fake

original was never called "zwierzyniec"

Which is why you don't know what the cars there have on their registration plates.

what?

and its as i said..
"zwierzyniec" is fake made by "perla" company from lublin. who to attached itself to famous brand of "zwierzynieckie" beer.

original was brewed by nobility from zamoyskie familly.and first brewer was an English guy.it was popular for long time.and very good one

later brewery was bought by some lublin company, and started producing "zwierzyniec" one...fake and according to people its just perla beer with name attached.

yes..this is the area where we are on the same side.
interesting is that zwierzyniec brewery was founded to make and introduced english beers in Poland.
first manager was brought from england by zamoyski nobility family.
shame it collapsed after transformation..it was great local beer from cleanest polish area of roztocze.

Never tried it unfortunately. In communist days I was happy to get any beer at all, and the only beer available in any quantity in the shops in Katowice was Krakus, from Krakow....... It was awful, but as it was beer, it was paradoxically great:)

i have an impression that during commies time, alot of food and brands of all kind was locally made, and locally redistributed.unique to local area

nowdays, big companies bough local brands and sell it to wider clients increased production ,often attaching old known, local famous brand names..i heard "perla" destroyed zwierzyniec brewery, and moved to lublin..making fake "zwierzynieckie" beer

but stuff is not the same..its not local unique taste. same with sausages ect.
another great beer from that area was "krysztal" and lezajskie or lezajsk not sure which form is used

as i said..you dont understand polish language. and what is written there.on this advert
its written:
"drink beer from brewery zwierzyniec" -zwierzyniec is name of brewery not name of beer
pijcie piwo browaru zwierzyniec. ask what that means or go google or ask poles, they will tell you about your ignorance
but its possible they would use name of zwierzyniec in different periods,or even both version ..i dunno
i recall from my time that zwierzyniec brewery was making "zwierzynieckie" beer through all 70-80 ties commie time
Harry

zwierzyniec is name of brewery not name of beer

As is shown by the name of the beer on the bottles and cans you posted photos of.

Ah, no, you got that wrong, didn't you:

Maybe you should ask Johnny Reb or the poster he calls Deep if Zwierzynieckie beer is in the Elite Lounge which doesn't exist in the Warsaw Marriott?
gregy741  5 | 1226
13 May 2016 /  #856
dunno..maybe they used different names for export nowdays ect..
i tell you name ,how i remember it..
beside,,you again posted one from " perla" lublin brewery..look close at bottle in the image you posted
not on label..but look close at bottle near kneck...you see perla.its fake zwierzynieckie beer

I know this in OT - but Budweiser Budwar is 2,49 at Lidl at the mo - and vastly superior to the majority of Polish beers at twice the price. Bit of a non-brainer really IMO.

To be drunk at around 15 degrees C, and not chilled to the marrow.

Rubbish! Polish craft beer knocks spots off macro-lagers such as Budweiser (no I'm not going to add the Budwar bit at the end: there is only one beer called Budweiser). Although I must admit to being slightly out of date as to exactly how much Polish craft beer costs in bottles, given that I almost never buy it, as I drink very very little at home.

BTW, Doug, have you seen a beer called Pacific by a brewery called Artezan? I can't recommend it highly enough. Artezan were one of the first Polish micro-breweries but until quite recently they didn't bottle any of their beer. But their move to new premises has given them a bottling line. I find their beers are generally much more to my taste than the ones from Ale Browar.

Yes yes Harry. Craft beers are great, but the palate needs a rest from that heavy malt. For I actually enjoy drinking rather a lot of Czech beer. As the Germans say, 2 or 3 beers only is money wasted:)))

If I drank Craft beers all the time I would be:

1. Overweight more than I am already.
2. Skint/broke/potless.
3. (And the most important of all) Unable to work:))

And work is the curse of the drinking classes - which is where I'm going now:) after a night with my friends George Ballantine and Bud Budweiser I can do that happily. A few bottles of that Ale browar craft stuff and I feel like cancelling the next day!

Okocim. aka "Okocim Kidney Flush." A fine tasting light pilsner which was (is?) made in Tarnow (I think) about 45 years ago. Ever see 40 people screaming at the bus driver to stop, pull over and let us out into the woods? A nice light beer. Equivalent to Miller Light in the US.

The Zubr we get in The UK doesn't seem to have changed but what they sell here may not be the same as in Poland.

When in France I always drink Kronenbourg but most of the stuff they sell in The UK now is brewed here too and I can't drink it.
