There is nobody here on this forum to take up your offer unfortunately. Try one of the Polish job teaching sites. And please don't offer classes for free - you are seriously costing yourself time and money there. I would be inclined to be more self-sure, even if you are going to map out a specific approach such as lessons based on strict needs analysis.

Learners never appreciate the freebie and tend to take the pis.

Why do you think there is nobody to take up my offer? I would think that's just the right place....
Thanks for your advice, but don't worry, there is a logic behind free trail lessons. I appreciate my time, that's why it's offered.

This forum is full of PolAms. By the way, Polish is such a hard language that I am impressed that you can teach it remotely. Wouldn't work for me. Same as piano lessons - got to be there.

Yes the participants here either already know Polish pretty well or don't want to.. maybe at one time but that was a long time ago.

Haha, it seems there is no agreement on what has been said about who wants to learn/ who speaks/ and who doesn't speak and wants to learn Polish. Maybe there will be a volunteer to make a survey :) then all will be clear :)

He would know that most of us are reading and writing learners, and some us have/had a job to do, plus reading to the nipper at bedtime.

Sorry Doug but I see no excuse for anyone not to learn a language of a country they live in. Well, unless they are intellectually retarded. Other than that- pure laziness of the worst kind.

Those who just don't like Polish as a language..... or regard it as a necessary evil.


Every single excuse for not becoming reasonably fluent (able to read newspapers, understand the news, deal with the bureaucracy without an interpreter) comes down to some combination of dumb (including intellectual stagnation) and laziness. There's also personal dislike but that raises the question of why someone would remain in a language environment that's unpleasant for them? I like French much less than other Romance languages which is the main reason I wouldn't want to live there (though Spain, Italy, Portugal or even Romania would be fine).

That's me. It requires work, and I'm listening to the Clapton record. I recommend it!

I'm learning Polish and I read these forums pretty regularly. If I did'nt already have teacher then I would have been interested. I'm sure there are other people who are learning Polish who might also visit here.
