Expat groups / parents / clubs - Wroclaw

Hi

I live in the UK but travel to Wroclaw nearly every week for work and have been doing this for about 6 months. It gets boring staying in hotels every week and I was hoping to find some Expat groups/ clubs that would welcome an English speaking non - residential worker :-)

I'm particulary interested if there are any running clubs as I'm supposed to be training for a half marathon and all the travel (and snow) is messing up my training but would be interested in any social groups that meet during the week.

There will be a drunken stumbling club meeting this Saturday for...well, something like a marathon around the pubs in Wroclaw. Pod Papugami on the 27th at 8pm. PM me, and I'll send over my number.

Thanks a pub marathon sounds fun but I fly home on Friday's.

Or you can check out couchsurfing.org they have a group for Wroclaw, with many people who live in or arround Wroclaw, most of which would be willing to meet up or make plans to attend events etc

are there any expat parents from Wroclaw? Are there any groups on facebook or any other way to get to know other parents with kids?

Try "MeetUp" My sister was able to join and create parent/child stuff on it from Germany

Don't they charge to advertise?

I was wondering the same thing, I guess parents with kids in school meet that way, how old are your kids? There are a few groups, but I have not found any specifically for parents, how old are your kids?
