Just came across this article - occrp.org/en/daily/5720-australia-two-polish-men-charged-over-one-tonne-mdma-seizure

Does anyone else know of incidents involving Polish men smuggling drugs such as MDMA into Australia? It seems that it's very common for Poles to get involved in drug trafficking in Asia and Oceania, as the rewards are very high there. The drugs smuggled into Australia had a street value of over 100 million USD - which is a remarkable amount by all accounts.

Thankfully, the two men involved, Dariusz Zbroszczyk and Piotr Latusek will be imprisoned and deported back home, meaning that Australia will have one less drug problem to worry about. The unfortunate thing in this case is that they're likely to carry on the same activities back home.

Why is Australia so full of drug addicts? The quickest way to stop traffickers is for their market to dry up.

I haven't heard of any other except for the one you have just described.

So how many drug problems does Australia have altogether? Is it serious for Australia or are their drug problems just on the avarage level. How does Australia cope with their drug problems?

Thanks Delph for this article as I think it highlights the risk to Poland if it opens it borders to migrants especially as drug use is rife within the migrant community. Like every European country, Poland will have a drug problem. The last thing it needs is outside influences making the situation worse
