Driving Jobs in Poland?

Hi all!

I'm considering moving to Poland for family reasons- i'm a bus driver of 15 years experience for national express , a big national bus company in UK.

My Polish is of working standard thanks to family.

I know the wages will be no comparison to UK- I'm not moving for the cash!

What sort of wages can be expected approximately "brutto" per month, non warsaw?

I'm not really here to talk about the rights and wrong of the polish economy, so any positive answers appreciated.

I can't help you directly but one of our regular members, I think he uses the name Hairball, has done just what you intend to. When he turns uop he should be able to give you loads of advice.

From what I've heard thrown around, you'll be looking at around 1500-2000zl a month brutto. Might be a little bit higher if you get a job for one of the big city communication companies, however.

But don't expect it to be easy to find a job at all - it would be best to assume no wages for a year and then go from there.

Depends where you are planning on moving to but if you are coming to somewhere like poznan couldn't you buy a big luxury saloon car, ie jag xj whack it on lpg and get a taxi license and start up as an english speaking taxi driver ferrying businessmen around who are attending the trade fairs?

Could possibly be quite lucrative.......
