Length of company Reply times to job applications?

In Poland, how long is the reply time for job applications? I have been sending applications mainly to large international companies. I have not heard from many of them even though I sent my applications in July or so. Also, does anyone have any experiences on getting a job through recruiting agency and how that worked out?

Perhaps my skills are not good enough, ha!

the reply of the company depends upon your experience and expertise and also based in which field you work...

i have similar problem. I sent my application to IBM, Kraków, and my CV is also submitted to a recruitment centre, but no answer yet. I hope it only takes so much time in any cases...

This ain't polite little england. Many companies don't bother to reply. Some can only just manage a text message.

When applying through the company websites, it sometimes feels - PFUF!, there went my info again in the cyberspace of company XXXX. It just seems hard to stand out from the crowd, eh.

Indeed, time for those who wait is long and especially if this is happening in a foreign country. There is a lot of talk about the lack of professionals in Poland but I think they should specify - POLISH SPEAKING professionals.

I have to agree here as many will not even bother to contact you.

Usually 2-5 weeks... But in most cases If they don't want you, they just don't reply. I was looking for a job in July and I know where I live, so within a week I sent over 30 applications - generally all the jobs good enough and where I had some chance, from the whole area. So my advice is - don't send just one or two applications and wait because that way you will be looking for a job for years.
