Pianist in Washington D.C. area? and a poem?

My father is Polish (emigrated after internment in the Soviet Union during WWII) and is dying. I am beginning to think about a memorial service and would like the traditional folk songs that he loves to be played at such a service. I have contacted the Polish church in Silver Spring to see if they have recommendations but also wondered if anyone else had suggestions.

I imagine that the music does not appeal to all Poles, especially those who emigrated later, but my father loves it and listens to it a lot now.

Also, can anyone recommend a good translation of a good poem about poland itself that we might use in the service booklet? I have looked through the books I have, but either the poem is not quite right or the translation is painful.

Thank you for any assistance you might be able to offer.
