yah, i have met a lot of Natives and they are not red (whatever that means?).

they are white according to me, correct me anybody if I am wrong:)

I personally have a lot of respect for Native people in general and I don't want to sound patronizing here at all.

PS. Fisz - amazing avatar :)

It's fine. I don't take any offense to red man. It's because some of my tribe and other from the northeastern states painted their bodies red for ceremonies. It's not taken derogatory unless used in that context. You're ok :)

Thanks M :)

If America is so bad then why does Chicago have the third largest Polish population in the world? And if Poland is so dandy then why are all the Poles flocking to England and Ireland. I have seen just as many homeless in Poland. Plus NY city has a population of over 8.1 million within an area of 322 square miles (830 km²). or approx 20% of the Polish population. The metropolitan area has a population of 18.8 million.

America has its problems but it is a heterogeneous society. Poland on the other hand is pretty much homogeneous. Not to mention it is anti-semitic, anti-black, and anti-gypsy. You cant even compare the social mosaic of Poland to the US. Poland has plenty of problems but I love living there. Same with the US. We have are problems but it is generally a safe good place to live.

The whole world has its problems and pointing fingers isn't helping anyone. Get your head out of the sand!

It is true. But it is shrinking. USA is not attractive to Poles anymore. USA is not attractive to Poles any more. Salaries are good for Mexicans maybe but not for Europeans.

I heard recently that 40% of American government revenue is spent on companies like Halliburton. No wonder there is no money left for normanl functions of government.

halliburton.com

Australia is a good place to live.
I know I've been here. :)

Anyone know the Polish population in Australia?
Australia is about the same size as America and has only 20 million people.
Average incomes are about $45000 p.a.

What are you talking about? Try to survive for 35.000 in USA! You can have apartment with cockroaches and 10 years old car for that. And for example teachers from public schools earn even less!

You have an article or source about that? That figure seems way too much.

This is vaguely on topic. Can somebody tell me the perecentage of US citizens that have a passport? I heard a very high figure the other day and would like to hear whether it was true.

As far as I know around 10% I'll try to find a source but until then it's accurate I think

Geez. I heard it was 25% with a passport. In my experience there is a huge difference in attitude and behaviour between Americans who have travelled and those who have not. I know this exists in any country but it just seems to be more obvious in Americans in my experience.

Whats so bad about the USA?

Everywhere has good and bad people.
The TV generated stereotypical attitudes being banded about on this forum are becoming tiresome.

$35,000

not bad either.

Apparently police starting off earn about 17,000 per year which leaves no alternative than accepting bribes or corruption tbh.

I have USA passport and citizenship! That has to count for something. But the only problem is that I live in Europe and I can’t be counted in with “US people with US passport still living in US”. And look, I know where Europe is! Therefore I am smart for American, right?

Looked it up & no one knows actually lol

Varies from 7% to 25%

So I guess the truth lies somewhere in between :)

USA stats are bad enough, but for a country of such varied people of differing backgrounds that is 300 million strong, the stats for homicide are actually lower than for many much smaller countries. For example USA didn't even make the list for the most dangerous country to live in for 1999 and 2003, the last years I know of when the stats were compiled by WHO and UN.

Top Ten countries for homicide in 2003 , numbers reflect number of murders per 100,000 people:

Columbia 63 murders per 100,000 people, South Africa 51, Jamaica 32, Venezuela 32, Russia 19, Mexico 13, Lithuania 10, Estonia 10, Latvia 10, Belarus 9.

Sayno a person on 35,000$ must be receiving a social security pension. lol.
The average wage is more in the tune of 50,000$ a year. Teachers/ nurses can earn up to 60,000$ a year, plus 4 weeks annual leave, long service leave and contribution to a Superannuation fund.

The current unemployment rate in this land is about 4% and people with trade qualifications can make a hell of a lot of money.
Australia is void of all those nasty problems which is faced by the American people.

there is young girls putting themselfs thru school on much less and still living in
an apt and buying groceries ( on their own) no live ins.. living in a decent apt
with no bugs.. in decent neighborhoods.

you dont know how to manage your money, thats the problem,, you want to much
your going to find you cant afford..

in the U.S.A you need to show off with $$$ , house , car and other material possesions.

Not true. The majority of Americans are living form pay-check to pay-check trying to make ends meet. They work hard, pay for their homes, pay taxes and not everyone can afford a new car.

The ones who can afford new cars and toys are the illegal immigrants who come to this country, work and don't pay taxes. I know of some Polish people who are here illegally. They work but don't pay taxes. They have a new $30.000 car, new $25.000 boat and a new $10.000 cycle, they have the most expensive cell phones, best TV's, etc. They like to show off to their friends and family in Poland what they have.

I don't know any Americans who can afford so many new toys.

This depends on where in the country you live. Down sout, teachers start making $25-30,000. Salaries vary as does the cost of living. I would live more towards upper class just by moving to the south.

now I agree with this, because I think its 10 years of no taxes, not sure, but
think that is correct.

yeah, we pay for immigrants , thats why it makes me sick when I hear people say
they hate us, yet we still have this immigration problem, and it doesnt bother me
if they come here for the same reasons my grandparents did. better life.

just dont spit on my shoes, otherwise I would agree with the govt on keeping
people out if its going to be like that. I dont feel its necessary to bust my a** to
keep someone else above water when they dont want to even stay in the boat.
