Does anyone know of a system (similar to the one that works through the Polish centre in Birmingham) by which you can send really heavy and bulky items (and pay by the kilo or some such) from Poland to the UK.

If anyone has any information I would be grateful.

Thanks,

Hugh.

Try gumtree.pl or one of the free Polish magazines in London (Cooltura, Goniec etc) - there are usually classifieds for transport services

Some Polish people that I know, send parcels/boxes back to Poland with the help of a Polish church. There is a collection once a week and the boxes etc, are then all sent together and takes about 1 week to get to various cities in PL. The cost is £1 per kg, quite cheap.

It might be worth finding out if there is a collection service like this near you.
