well I know my food and you will generaly get better quality beef in the Uk so why bother?

thats a bit dismissive isnt it. There are plenty of different types of meat and who is to say that it is better in one country than another.. its merely a question of taste. My partner always brings back lots of sausages and cooked meats from Poland, which are fantastic.

The small, independent butcher's shop I use has fantastic quality meat.
Even the higher-priced, so-called high quality supermarket meats rarely come close.
If you know (or can afford) anywhere like that, go for it. No-one wants watery meat.

On the other hand, meat products that have been cooked, cured or whatever, seem to be much more of a local thing.
I would not be suprised if people wanted to go to Poland for such things.
