Polish Migrants makes room for '20 to a house

A polish migrant near my house lives with her four children in a room measuring three metres. She lives in a three bedroom house which is shared by in total fourteen peoples. I don't know why she lives in such place which is bad for children ( others smokes, drink).

Her two sons spend their evenings in the smoke filled lounge watching the other teants drink thenselves into oblivion. recently she called the police when one other polish guy attached her son.

This kind of overcrowding is not unusual for polish migrants living in Uk. It is not uncommon to find 12 to 20 people in three bed house with wall to wall mattresses, three story bunk beds.

some even sleep in kitchen, corridors. A house fire can go up in minutes, and if they are overcrowded that increase the risk of many peoples dying.

Now tell me which is more important your life or money?

You must not have ever had to make little or nothing money. Yes the money is better than poland, but the uk is one of the most expensive places to live on the planet. Besides if you are only their on a two year work visa. Why would you want to waste your money in a place you can't call home. So you bunk up together so you can save your pennys to take home with you. Then the money is worth four times as much.

Sadly, this type of story is often true.

I'm one of the first to defend Poland and Poles against racist remarks but we also have to accept the truth.

That's why hardly any Poles move to UK with kids and a chance that some with kids live near him is at best 0.1%, ~0% that they are doing what he (or rather "it") wrote.

I don't see anything wrong with taking English money and spending it in Poland

I'd disagree with you slightly here. Proportionately, in many aspects, living in the UK is often much cheaper than Poland. If you think about how much you might earn per hour in Poland and then think about how much bread, petrol, milk, clothes, electronics and cars cost and do the same for the UK, I'd say it's a fair bit cheaper here. Many of my Polish friends agree with me. It can be really hard to afford luxuries in Poland but here they have a much better life.

This is true. In Britain you can live comfortably for minimum wage. In Poland if you earn minimum wage without help of your family youd be starving.

Take the top of the class. thats the reason why polish people have opted to go to other countries, so they can make some money to better there way in poland.

Some people say the average wage in poland is 2500zl a month, yeah for some, most settle for less like 1200zl clear a month.. (if there lucky)

I'm one of the first to defend Poland and Poles against racist remarks but we also have to accept the truth.

Can I ask a simple question, what is wrong with doing that, what sane person wouldn't want to save as much money as he could to return back home.

Providing he breaks no law whats the problem.

If you have to pay council tax (minimum 1k per year), other bills, fuel, food, childrens clothes, shoes and other expenses, garage bills, annual MOT/repairs/car tax, insurance, dentist, prescriptions, not forgetting the mortgage of course, then you are just about making ends meet even on a good salary. If you live in a shared house and share the rent between 10 or 12 people that's a different story.

Rent normally includes council tax as well and sometimes bills so you are not really getting a fair picture of how much it costs to live in the UK.

I think it is only fair to say that this is a personal choice ie. some people choose to share and some do not want to share and rent their own flat/house even though it is much more expensive for them.

So, why is your English so lousy? Is it the reason you can not even get a cleaning job because Poles do it better? It must be hard to be a looser in "your own" country ... :)

hey there are stupid people in every country. at least you did a good thing for helping them and you will be rewarded for this later on. there is a phrase in my language is goes like " naaki ker, dreea mai dal" english version " do good and throw it in the river" means what every good you do keep it to yourself and some day you might get rewarded for this..
