Hi all, I am from the UK and its my first 'post' on this forum.
I work for an illustration company in oxfordshire. We were looking at opening an office in Poland, but the management dont like that idea.

So we are now looking for freelance polish people in the UK. The type of drawings are done on computer. They are very simple and repetitive. what documentation would any polish person need to do this type of work in the uk?

Kind Regards
Roger

Hello Roger...I am not by any means an expert on computers , or art and ilustration , but i want to ask if the person you need has to be in UK...I know you can do all this kind of thing over the net...The reason i ask is that my friend Beata has her own graphic arts business in Poland , and is keen to do business in the UK....Let me know what you think....She does speak English by the way...

Can I ask why Polish people in the UK? and why not English people in the UK -

If your company dont like the idea of opening an office in Poland then there must be a reason.

suggest you check out the "Fair Advertising and the Employment (sex descrimination) Act 2000, because it would appear you are in breach of this!!!

or the Race Relations Act 1976, you are also in breach of this.

Suggest you either change the advert or remove it!!!

I hope you know that this kind of advertising is illegal!!!!

"Fair Advertising and the Employment (sex descrimination) Act 2000

This is a British law and has no standing in Poland, and why are you so piszed about it?

I work for an illustration company in oxfordshire

So far I understand that the company is in the UK

We were looking at opening an office in Poland, but the management dont like that idea.

Hmmm, I understand that your company does not want to invest in Poland

So we are now looking for freelance polish people in the UK

Arrrh I get it, you are looking for Polish people in the UK to 'recruit" i.e. give work to, so employing in a round about way!

If you read the last 2 e-mails you will see that Beata is in Poland

Yes I did, but you initial email was the one I noticed, you know the one where you were asking for Polish people in the UK!!!

Please dont tell me to chill, I am far from chilled when people are breaking the law!!!

This is a British law and has no standing in Poland, and why are you so piszed about it?

Because you plumb he is looking to employ people in the UK, so it does have standing!! I angry because people have the cheek to call British lazy, but if this kind of thing is happening its no wonder that British people are out of work, thats my point.

Cheers Wildrover!!!!

Look, Oh it’s me.
There is no need to be insulting. It sounds like you are a very aggressive person.

I am English born and grew up in Yorkshire. I went to boy’s school that had 80% Asian and Pakistani pupils. My wife is Bulgarian and we know many English, Bulgarian, Polish and Russian people. Our view is that most UK people are lazy and greedy for money. They hide behind a British law, because they are too narrow minded to realise the England is a very different place to what it used to be.

Thought for the day:
How many English pretty girls do you know that have been employed in the UK just because of their looks? I have known lots.

Sorry, I am British and to be truthful some are lazy, I worked in the UK for 25 years before moving to Poland and I have seen many people turn down work because they just can't be bothered. In the words of the old cow Margret Thatcher "get on your bikes and find work!"

Hi Wildrover.

I used to go and stay with my Aunt Loo in Scarborough. They had a farm on the cliff overlooking the bay. I love it up there. I come from Bradford, but have lived and worked in Oxfordshire for over 10 years now. I hope I didnot upset OH ITS ME too much?

What made you go to Poland?

Hello ukpolska

You are right. I was being a little 'over the top' Sorry.

Ups sorry go names mixed up. I am working at the moment, and keep taking my eye off the ball.

Eeee by gum....I spent many a happy hour wandering along the cliff tops in Scarborough , and a fair bit of time in Bradford...Which part of bradford were you born,,?

I first came to Poland in 1997 on route to Belarus with a convoy of Landrovers i organised and led...Fell in love with Poland while passing through , and in 2004 i bought an old run down farm here (its still old and run down)....Incidentally the farm cost the huge sum of 15 grand , so if your company is thinking of opening an office in Poland you will find its not to much dosh to do so....You will find on this forum there are a few people only too ready to leap at your throat no matter what you say...don,t let it worry you too much , most of em are ok.......

what a joke, why do most people come to England.....arrhhh that would be the money!!! f*cktard....now Im being rude!!! and if their countries are so good why on earth do they come here in their 1000s, I'll answer that for you shall I, so they can earn decent money to buy the things they couldnt possibly buy if they stayed in their own countries, English people work damn hard for what they have!...please have a proper argument before you start typing...

Let us see how many will stay when England goes into a recession

Hello: Oh It’s Me

Blar Blar Blar. What do they say about people that swear? They generally don’t know how to express them selves properly. Now, who is making sweeping statements? I think you really need to get your blood pressure checked sunny Jim.

Oh, it’s the people that come into our country to work hard, that keep the UK out of recession. If they ever leave, that’s when we are in trouble.

TTFN

Wildrover.

You are right, their are some strange people around. Anyway, I spent my days around Heaton, Haworth Road. Those where the days. Always in trouble. I lived on the middle class side of Haworth Road and all my friens lived on the council estate on the other side. I spent much of my time on the wrong/right side of the road, much to my mothers anger.

My wife is Bulgarian, and we have been out looking at houses there. I think they are priced about the same.

I like the Landrover idea. I and working for Landrover right this very minuite. Oh excuse my bad spelling, im dislexic.

Kind Regards

Oh excuse my bad spelling,

Don,t worry about the spelling , its a whole lot better than some of the English people on here than claim to be educated....I know the Heaton area of Bradford , I used to deliver stuff around there when i was a motorcycle courier...Bulgaria is one place i haven,t been to yet ,but i did watch a few programmes on tv about buying property there , and it looks like a good place to live....Landrovers , i love em , simple and will go anywhere , just like me....Let me know how you get on with chatting to Beata , you should not have any language problem , her English is not bad ...have a nice day...Ian..
