Any comments ?

I could rephrase and expand what I said before.

There are more people in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (the size of the name says something) who think that by being British, they are somehow better. To some extent, this happens in every country. That may be something to do with, deep down inside, feeling inferior, but I feel neither superior nor inferior. I feel lucky to live somewhere with a decent standard of living. I have a job I like. I have some rather nice musical instruments to play with that didn't cost me too much. I can buy lots of good quality ingredients to cook with.

I am not saying you can't find these things elsewhere, but I appreciate what I have got, try to get the things I want by fair means, and strive to be a better person. That's not a British thing, it's a human/donkey thing.

Oh! Thanks for the hug!

Because animals never tell you that you can't go down the pub.

Was there any famous British composer (except for Haydn who doesn't count as British)?

Elgar?

Will British sportsmen ever win an important competiton?

Probably not

Well,we had to get used to the smell of kennels in time for 2004 and renting rooms to you guys

Was there any famous British composer

I could turn this round and say,your most famous composer(only famous composer that doesnt write for B movies) was a frenchman,instead;
Purcell,Elgar,Henry the 8th(greensleeves)Britten,Holst.....getting the picture?

Will British sportsmen ever win an important competiton?

the Ashes, the World Cup(sorry, when did Poland win?) countless golds in both summer and winter olympics(see, sport is more than just chucking yourself off the side of a mountain without ski poles).

"I can smell a Brit a mile away" - British cuisine?

As opposed to that world renound Polish diet of cabbage and mushrooms and meat covered in fat.....

British man finds his wife is a 100% slut

oops, did he marry a Polish girl?

the country is going to the dogs

oh yes unemployment is rapidly going up consumer spending going down ,the jobs are useless worthless jobs which people can't make a living on unless poles send money home , house prices through the roof the new deal endless pointless schemes to fix the unemployment figures ,more people in debt than ever before ,overcrowded prisons endless parking fines better rights to foreign nationals than the native british no wonder indigneous people want out more than ever and the government opens it's borders to a possible 450,million people and even the hard pushed brits are being chased out the job market by the insanity of over 1 million poles here , the bank of england cuts interest rates bu half a percent but they don't know if were gonna avoid a full out recession , say no to EU immigration it's done nothing to help anyone in the uk except some unscruplious employers who want cheap pollock labour to undercut our own workforce

Why are Brits so attracted to animals?

yeah poles just dump animals to come to england i'd like to know how many dogs have been killed since 2004 (put down ) because there just left to die in warsaw as the poles flock on flights to britain ,and i think polish cuisine is sick it's proper communist old school stuff, cabbage with pigs feet or something and cream on top , plus they don't have any farming standards in poland like we have they have pigs and cattle living in the most appaling inhumane conditions

explanation for serious posters:

I only changed titles of some threads on these forums
for example: https://polishforums.com/archives/2005-2009/life/poles-attracted-animals-15349/

(and many others, none was my original)
because I think it was the idea behind Grzegorz_ thread, to reverse some of stupid questions that appear now and then on these boards. So I wasn't really expecting any serious answers, just mocking.

for trolls:

they have pigs and cattle living in the most appaling inhumane conditions

you know the meaning of the word "human", don't you?

How about the England cricket team to Oz cricket team?

Your warm beer to our cold beer?

Your jellied eel to our meat pie?

Eddy the Eagle to whoever won the skiing at the Olympics that year.

Morris Minor and the Majors "Stutter Rap" to hip hop?

Boy George to Dead or Alive?

And the list goes on..........

has anyone else noticed an intense inferiority complex in poles...?

Bubba, word of advice, don't mention that! I suggested it in a thread about the behaviour of SOME Poles in the UK a while back and received numerous swift cyber kicks to the solar plexus! nuff said

I don't think Brits have an inferiority complex, you just have to look at British comedy to see that they are pretty unique and have the most surprising ability to laugh at themselves across the whole spectrum of Britishness. I think they are just pretty accepting of who they are as opposed to constanty worrying about who they are and how they are perceived. Actually I think you can tell a lot about a country from it's comedy shows and what makes them laugh.

OK, some Brits are arrogant know it all t@ssers but then again so are some Poles! Very difficult to generalise really.

A lot of the British humour is based on the establishment and the middle class. Such comedians as roan Atkinson and Michael Paline come from the Oxbridge middle class and are not representative of the lower paid working class where there is stress and unhappiness.

As a P.S. there is still no such word as cartoonish either.

I was kind of thinking a bit more up to date. That Oxbridge lot are very 70's-80's. Never found them very funny anyway. I'm probably the only person who will openly admit Monty Python were sh*t and I do 't care much for Atkinson either. Now, things like Little Britain, League of Gentlemen, Mighty Boosh, Shameless, Royale Family etc. very on the ball and if you check, NO Oxbridge connections (at least no instantly recognisable ones!)

It is noticable on this forum. There is so many Polish people in France (1 mln) Italy Spain Greece they dont have problems with Poles and even they have they come here not to moan. There is so many Ukrainians in Poland and G noticed that they do crap job but nothing more. there are English people here moaning nad repeting Nazi propaganda, yes Jews were stinking rats and Poles were unsmart. There is Nazi crep from Germany BB but he is nazi so lets leave him. But civilisated English people writing all the time about Poles... fu ck them bullet in their head. do you remeber this brits movie:

Spanish people had the same problems. Oh yes Trolls but have you seen any French troll here or Spanish or American ? There is one German nazi creep and one Russian and hords of English fuc kers. If they want they can say sth here but it is PF forum not English forum about Poles.

people form all over the world can read civilisated english people opinions. Yes England isn't continent.

bomb the fuk.

Many British have inferiority complex

agree not all but many.

they come here and learn us, what kind of traditions we should have, what kind of customs we should have, how we should dress, what kind of food we should eat ...it is enought.

Imagine yourself how this forum would look like without English people ... dream. One nazi German on Russian and only civilisated people form all over the world.

If you share opinion with English you are civilisated if not you are racist/dumb/primitive ...

Imagine yourself how this forum would look like without English people ...

It would be boring. :) There could be said a lot of bad things about our fellow Brits. I agree that they are over-represented here on PF in the "troll department" and if there is ever going to be a world cup in moaning I bet I know what two countries would get to the finals, but brits having inferiority complex? Not really. In contrary, very often they behave in a nasty patronizing way. Well, maybe there is one exception. Mainly to the USA and it's position in the world, I still can't figure out if it's really a case of inferiority towards them or just jealousy that their former colony replaced them as the leading power in the world though. But it must be mentioned that it's not that they are alone who feel this way. Germany and France must be mentioned here too.

....it's their miserable football!

:)

Few years ago there were this "recorders" adverts all over Poland on billboards with our national football team and a caption saying “Nasze nagrywarki przegrywają szybciej niż reprezentacja Polski”. It means “Our recorders record/loose faster than Polish national football team”. TThe word “przegrywać” has two meanings, “to lose” and “to record”. :)

has anyone else noticed an intense inferiority complex in poles...?

Not all of us have an inferiority complex, but it definitely is present in our society, myself included. I would say that it has more to do with the commie times rather than with the partitions, WWII, etc.. In my case it came down to the comparison between the economical situation in Poland and in the Western Europe. I felt that since my country is worse off than I must also be inferior to the westerners. Fortunately real life showed me that it's not necessarily the case. Still, I still have to prove myself that I'm not worse than others from time to time. I’m like a bloody Napoleon. lol ;)

Oh and I never met with an English woman behaving in a patronizing way towards me. They were always very open and friendly. I can’t really say the same thing about English males though. But you got to give it to them than in contrary to Germans for example, when they treat you in a patronizing way they do it very subtle, in most cases using sarcasm. Oh and when they offend you they want you to agree with them. “You’re a stupid twat aren’t you?”. Arrogant mugs. ;P

I think that I know some reasons of this english paranoidal behavior.

Polish girls looks good = wh ores

Some english people started to pretend that they are Poles in UK to get better job (UK press) (not as toilets cleaners :P ) = Poles are dumb

I think this time G is right "inferiority complex".

I think we can analize this social process deeper. It will be interesting discussion.

Can't really agree with you on that one.

Will British sportsmen ever win an important competiton?

the Ashes, the World Cup(sorry, when did Poland win?) countless golds in both summer and winter olympics(see, sport is more than just chucking yourself off the side of a mountain without ski poles).

The ashes? Weren't we talking actually about important competitions? lol

PS: Now you see with what crap we have to put up on this forum mate? I see that you lost your temper when the shoe got on the other foot.

You're fired, you are an inferior host :)

Polish girls looks good = wh ores

I think most English men would disagree with you there, they would be more likely to say that English women are whoe bags :)

I think that I know some reasons of this english paranoidal behavior.

Its not, the English are a little overwhelmed with the numbers of people coming to work and settle in the UK, which I think is understandable

Oh and I never met with an English woman behaving in a patronizing way towards me. They were always very open and friendly.

How could they be anything else but towards you with that boyish face and lovely cheeks :)

The forum is in English, not Spanish or French, hence the preponderance of English people. You dont see many Americans on this board because most of them couldnt even point to Poland on a map and generally have no interest in Poland(this isnt intended as an insult, just a fact of life regarding the low interest in foreign matters in the U.S., especially a minor European country).

Most of the trolls who are refered to as 'English' are in fact not English, but English speakers.

Other countries in Europe have taken fewer immigrants than the UK and have had a much worse reaction to it. Have a look at Italy's reaction to the Romanians as an example- there were beatings and mob justice galore.
