What are the best flights Glasgow to Krakow?

hi people.

My wife and I are travelling to Poland in August to cycle for ten days round your lovely country. We are travelling from Glasgow to Krakow.

Is there any airline other than Ryanair who can get us there for around about the same price (£280 including all the additional costs Ryanair put on, which I must admit is cheap). I hate that airline... but needs must as we say in the UK.

any advice would be great.

many thanks! Ken

Hi Ken (you're not my Uncle Ken who lives in Barrhead, are you??)

Check out the list of flight connections and airlines on this link

Looks like Ryan air is your only option from Glasgow - could you fly from Edinburgh? That way you could fly with Easy Jet?

Tell us more about your cycling trip....

Surely Whizzair flies from Glasgow. It drops you in Katowice but I have been told the bus connection is reliable enough.

Not according to the link that I posted - which is pretty accurate. Wizz only fly Glasgow to Gdansk.

But you're right in that Katowice would be a good alternative to Krakow.

hi dollface

Not your uncle Ken, but I do go thru Barrhead to get home!

We are cylcing down on the Krakow-Dunajec path wich follows a river valley I think
then a 6 day wander through the Ponidschje region. Should be good

I have now checked out wizz air who do indeed go to Katowice. The all in price for 2 including bus to Krakow is £186, which is remarkable. the only worry I have is booking now for a trip in about 9 months time, when wizz air may have gone bust.

are they generally OK - ie: flights are full; planes arrive sort of on time (and without crashing?)

cheers
Ken

LOL...another man of principle...:)...:)

Only for Ryanair, the British middle classes would be moaning about the high cost of travel etc......

Long live Ryanair!

Hmmmm..... so that link wasn't any good then :(

Long live Ryanair!

I like Ryan Air - Ok, their colour scheme makes me feel a bit sick, but other than that, I've never had any reason to complain about them - and I fly with them quite a lot.

Excellent - sounds like a good trip. Mind if I ask what inspired you to go there?

i have been with them a few times and found them ok, however they have been known to cancel flights at the last minute for whatever reasons (not full?)
