Two men admit Pole's brutal attack in Aberdeen

The incident happened in Aberdeen's Alexander Drive
Two men have admitted their roles in a brutal attack on a Polish man with a wooden mop handle in Aberdeen.

Keith Porter, 21 admitted attempted murder and George Stewart, 24, admitted assault to severe injury.

Cleaner Jaroslaw Janeczek, 39, suffered serious internal injuries after the attack in Alexander Drive in July this year and could have died.

Scum....Lock them up for life...

Alexander Drive, that says it all. My cousin used to live there and he got an Irish bull terrier to feel safe. I can remember the first time I saw that dog, he jumped up at my face but he was friendly.

Stewart, that's a known name in Aberdeen. The McAllisters, the Kinnairds and the Stewarts are much feared in that neck of the woods. It has become safer but sad to see that some still want to preserve its ferocious reputation.

They were targetting Scots long before they were targetting Poles. I was there last century and I can remember seeing a gang coming towards me but I was so stoned that I could barely even make them out ;) They just left me alone, thankfully.

I know the type. Punish them severely I say.

Its unfortunate that many of the Poles heading to the UK find themselves living in areas that are perhaps not the best place in town...

When i lived in Leeds i had to rescue a housefull of Poles from a dangerous situation , and take them to my home...I am happy the Police did not stop us on route , there were ten people crammed into my Rangerover...!

Thankfully nobody got seriously hurt , and i was able to find them safe places to live , although four of them continued to live at my house for a couple of years...

It just pees me off severely that there are families that are nothing but trouble generation after generation.
From the moment they are born they are a drain on honest folk.

NHS bills, social services, childrens panels, petty crime and then progress to the Justice System.

It might sound a bit harsh but when you come across these types you will understand.

It has to be said , that some people are just scum , and they breed more scum....I don,t know what the answer is in a free society...The ony answer i can see is to steralise the scum untill the race dies out , but then thats getting a bit close to Hitlers ideals...

Some little shite once tried to threaten me with "my cousins are McAllisters"...I gave him a hiding and no McAllister ever bothered me ;) The same little shite tried it on with some guy's little brother I knew - of course, his brother had some really vicious mates who weren't a 'McCally' but were nasty bastards all the same - and they went round to the little bastard's house and smashed his dad's expensive car up a few times. Just shows who the real hard men are, to be honest.

An uncle of mine back in the 60's laid waste to a few of them in some bar on the Castlegate, interestingly enough. Apparently it was hard to judge what was in a worse state - the bar or their faces. But he is a big bloke!

Just shows that even if you spend a sh--load of money renovating an area, you still need to deal with the scum, otherwise this stuff will keep on happening. As Seanus says, Alexander Drive explains it all - that part of the city is pretty rough.

It's so important not to make it a national thing. They are simply thugs and thuggery knows no national boundaries. I also ran into such nyaffs and they aren't worth the time of day. I can safely say that the great majority of Scots get on well with Poles. My brother was also subjected to the same treatment and he ran into David McAllister. My brother would have pasted him but he let it ride itself out. I worked in Logie and Middlefield for 3 months and cut grass on Logie Avenue and Persley Crescent. Alexander Drive is just along Great Northern Road, along other semi-dodgy parts called Woodside and Hilton. I've also cycled around there a fair bit and the guy was unlucky. The police have upped their patrols and things have been toned down.

My second university was right beside it but I came from the Bedford side. Merkland on King Street was also close.

I hope justice is served and that that Pole isn't unduly perturbed but an attempt was made on his life and I hope he bounces back.

As you say Seanus , Scum come in all shapes sizes and colours , and from all nationalities....I am supposing these particular scum are Scots , but thats not important , what matters is that they are scum , and should be flushed down the toilet...

Thankfully the Polish guy is making a good recovery....

It must be mentioned that the reason these scum were caught , is due to other Scots in this community giving evidence to the Police so it would be wrong to label all the people on this estate as scum , many were shocked by this senseless attack....

We don't want any reprisals. Nie chcemy odwetów. We don't want to be scarred by the actions of fools. We took the necessary action and I hope that they feel guilty for what they have done.

Aberdeen is full of weirdos and nut jobs, take a walk through Tillydrone or Seaton, social depravation and poverty abounds, combined with a miserable attitude to life, this is apparant in the faces of many of the peoples there, Aberdeen is a city of social divisions, there's real wealth here, yet real poverty too, its a breeding ground for hate crimes like this.

Absolutely right! I lived there for 24 years of my life and know all the main areas. You can name so many areas that are run down. 10 quickly come to mind. Attacks on students happen a fair bit.

Byron, Logie, Middlefield, Tillydrone, Seaton, Woodside, Summerhill (one part), Mastrick, Northfield, Kincorth, Torry and Tullos. North Anderson Drive, Great Northern road areas and part of the south side.
