Me and my gf are planning to go to Berlin for a few days, so I was wondering if anyone knows what the best way to get from Wrocław to Berlin and back is. I checked the Deutsche Bahn site, but the prices seemed rather steep, like 90 euros per person. There is Eurolines too, but their timing didn't suit us at all. Any ideas?

it depends when you buy the ticket. leave it too late and it will cost more.
the train via poznan is quicker than the direct train
should take about five hours
you could book a sleeper, which leaves around midnight
the ticket office for the berlin train is far right, as you walk in the main entrance
there is a special bus... not eurolines... sorry, i have no details though.

There are at time special offer on trains... you just need to walk across the counter in Wroclaw and ask them... last time I paid 19 euros per person one way.. Train starts around 11:30 am from Wroclaw.
Thank you both. I'll be sure to drop by Dworzec Główny and have a look.
On the off-chance that someone is interested...
In the end we learned that train tickets would have cost something like 220 zl per person and direction (bought a week in advance) so instead we managed to find some company going there by minibus instead for 150 zł, even taking us to the place where we were staying. The trip took only around 3.5 hours, so it was not bad.

that's good going for a bus/minibus... and much quicker than by rail. what's the name of the company you used. i might find myself using them.
Berlin express are pretty good....i know they run from Szczecin , not sure about Wroclaw

Although, it was the return trip today that was this fast, and there was scarcely any traffic. Also sometimes they take some detours to pick up/leave someone, so it might take significantly longer.

berlin-ekspres.szczecin.pl looks like it only operates from Szczecin...
Depending on where the train runs through I have a good way.
There is some kind of discount ticket that gives a large discount in Poland and Germany.
Its called the Euro Nysa. You might have to get to Boloslawiec. It only cost me about 20 or 30 pln to get from there to Cottbuss in Germany.
I know they have a discount ticket for northern Germany and Poland.
