Poznań or Wrocław?

I'm vacationing in £ódź this summer and may get the opportunity to visit only one of these two cities. Which would you recommend, and why?

Wow, it seems that Wroclaw is definitely more popular. Do you have any other recommendations as far as cities near Lodz are concerned? The friend I'm staying with has told me that we will see Warsaw, Lodz and Krakow without a doubt, and that I may choose another couple of cities to visit if they aren't too far away.

both cities offer different things and flipping a coin would probably be the best solution.
i am personally drawn to Wroclaw more:)

Poznan is ok but Wroclaw is much better. It doesn`t matter what your seaching for. It`s always better. Party, history, young people, shopping, .... i love this city.
