Hi just got back from a short stay in Gdansk. We stayed at the Wolne Miasto which was very nice. We must have visited most of the churches and museums and had a fantastic time, but the only downside was I think the taxi driver from the airport robbed us,we were charged 120 zlotych to the hotel but only 53 zlotych for the return jouney. Oh well you live and learn but this would not put us off returning to Poland

Taxi's from airport's usually are a rip-off , i always try and catch the bus into the centre and work out the way to where i'm staying from there . Did you get your hotel to book the return journey ? That work's well cheaper , you could also ask the hotel to book one to pick you up at the airport for you , if they do this service ?

Good ;)
A single bus ticket in every major city in Poland costs around 2,50PLN (£0.55). Do you really need to take a taxi?
First time in Gdansk, first time in Poland so taxi is best itea
